I've noticed this my self. It only happens why you are chatting with someone (ie your enter key or backspace key has been depressed so the AFK message goes up above your head), or you actually go AFK. I'm not sure there is a workaround for this. the way the new reply seems to be functioning is if you have the AFK message up it will reply with that AFK message. Sorry I can offer no help. If anyone knows anything I would like to hear your ideas.

I thought when i7 was release, that I had read something about the new AFK Autoreply/Away as a new feature. That as default it is enabled and that an option to disable. I just haven't found that yet if there is a disable option.

Ok... here is my problem. I have a targeting bind that would target enemy near then target enemy next. When I hit TAB it targets the enemy near like its supposed to, but when I hit TAB again I get "Unknown command target_enemy_near $$ bind_load_file c:\cohkeys\TAB.txt"

    [/ QUOTE ]

It looks like you have a space after target_enemy_near, between that and the $$. All the guides I've seen say to avoid having spaces between the command name and the $$. Have you tried that?

    eg: "target_enemy_near$$bind_load_file c:\cohkeys\TAB.txt"

    [/ QUOTE ]

OMG!!! I feel so stupid. I finally noticed that I'm missing the ending " in my bind statement. I'm sorry for the trouble.
  3. I keep reloading and it still is bugged after I hit the TAB key. I just went back to the "Toggle_Enemy_Near" option. It seems to affect my binds that have 3 actions in them. Not real sure about that though... may just be a coinsidence.
  4. Ok... here is my problem. I have a targeting bind that would target enemy near then target enemy next. When I hit TAB it targets the enemy near like its supposed to, but when I hit TAB again I get "Unknown command target_enemy_near $$ bind_load_file c:\cohkeys\TAB.txt"

Everything worked until i7 went live. Any ideas?

***BTW, same problem happening with my PB & WS bind to change forms.

In my toon bind .txt file I have this:

    TAB "target_enemy_near $$bind_load_file c:\cohkeys\TAB.txt

    TAB.txt
    TAB "target_enemy_next $$bind_load_file c:\cohkeys\TAB1.txt

    TAB1.txt
    TAB "target_enemy_near $$bind_load_file c:\cohkeys\TAB.txt
  5. Thats a good thing to know about the extra quotes.

Except...my chat binds wont load. I even tried saving them from an existing character, and loading onto the same character, and all 3 fail, saying too many arguments.

The chat line im using is as follows:
    /bind [ beginchat /send "channel" [$name-$level-$archetype]

and it works fine, but wont load. any suggestions would be appreciated.

This allows you to show your character, level, server, whatever at the start of any global chat you type in. Helpful to badge & monster channels to sort out servers and character names for invitations. Helpful for SG coalitions to see what level someone is running.

This is how it looks in my bind file:

    SHIFT+J beginchat /send "Justice Badge" [$name, lvl $level $Archetype]
  7. [ QUOTE ]
I tried that out myself, and it works fine on its own. Are you loading the correct files? What error message are you getting?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I just tried it again today. I didn't get the error I was getting before and it seems to work now. Oh well. I'm just glad it works.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
I was told that this bind isn't very well known and that I should share it. Credit goes to someone in the Virtue Legion of Freedom for sharing it with me.

This allows you to show your character, level, server, whatever at the start of any global chat you type in. Helpful to badge & monster channels to sort out servers and character names for invitations. Helpful for SG coalitions to see what level someone is running.

/bind KEY beginchat /send "insert name of global chat channel here" [$name - $level - server or archetype or whatever] (space)

The space is helpful if you won't remember to add it automatically; makes it a little easier to read. An example and what it looks like in-game:

    /bind L beginchat /send "Triumph Watch" [$name - $level - Triumph] (space)

Triumph Watch: [Flamare - 38 - Triumph] Hi, gang! Any mosnters out?

    Hope this helps!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Just an FYI....

I tried putting these binds into my toon specific bind files and I get an error when I load them. I've notice that they work when you manually input them.

This is how it looks in my bind file:

    [ QUOTE ]
    SHIFT+J beginchat /send "Justice Badge" [$name, lvl $level $Archetype]

    Observation:
When using $target for a bind, in a say; results work as desired, when using $target with a macro, results less than admirable.

    Can this be done effectively?

    Example
/bind will say "Move over Sorceror"
/macro will say "Move over $target"

    Solution?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I made this macro for my tank and MM to use with TP Foe and it works. Made it a macro instead of a bind since its situational.

/macro TPFOE "local $target, GET OVER HERE!$$powexec_name tp foe"
  11. lol... I just relized that my bind suggestions are all wrong. I forgot to add the "powexecname Recall Friend" to all of them. Sorry for the misinformation.
  12. Hmmm... where should I start.

First off, you may want to read or refer to The Incomplete and Unofficial Guide to /bind (1.1). Very informative.

But to get your "Binds" to work they you want it, you can try the following: (unable to test since I'm at work.)

You need to put this in your current/main keybind file that you load:

    powexec_slot 10 "team $target prepare yourself for one heck of a ride!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp2.txt"

or to manually add it your self, type the following in the input line:

    /bind powexec_slot 10 "team $target prepare yourself for one heck of a ride!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp2.txt"

Then create these following files (if you haven't done so already.)

    Filename tp1.txt
    powexec_slot 10 "team $target prepare yourself for one heck of a ride!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp2.txt"

    Filename tp2.txt
powexec_slot 10 "team $target Time for take off! Hope you trust the $name Exspress!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp3.txt"

    Filename tp3.txt
    powexec_slot 10 "team Countdown Begins! 1.. 2.. 3.. $target Lifts off!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp4.txt"

    Filename tp4.txt
    powexec_slot 10 "team $target Listen to Justiceradio.net for your Traveling tunes!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp5.txt"

    Filename tp5.txt
    powexec_slot 10 "team Picking up $target insuring a safe arrival!$$+down+up$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp6.txt"

    Filename tp6.txt
    powexec_slot 10 "team Are you comfortable with a woman behind the wheel $target? Cuz i'm driving!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp7.txt"

    Filename tp7.txt
    powexec_slot 10 "team WARNING! $target is being transported!$$bind_load_file c:\cohbinds\tp\tp1.txt"
  13. 5 Stars to you!

I was referred to your guide because I'm planning out my FF/NRG toon. After some consideration, I roled my toon to be FF/Dark with Fitness, Medicine & Flight pools. Still not sure what Epic to choose at this time.

    Keep up the great work.

There is actually a sign that you have captured a ghost successfully. Normally when the ghosts die, they kind of hang there in mid-air and disappear.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You misunderstand. I don't want to know when a ghost counted, I am well aware of what happens after a successful capture already. I want to know when a ghost will count, so I know when to open fire without having to guess.

It's often tricky enough to lead a ghost to a trap, and the height of frustration when you hit him and he's only a couple of feet farther from trap radius than you need.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oops...sorry about that. This would be nice, some form of marking or something to denote when they are close enough to be captured. By my guess, it's probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-30 ft. from the trap.

The big pain is the ghosts running away and then having to wait for them to come back, if they ever come back.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I went back and did that with my lvl 20 MM as well. What made it easier for me to tell that all the ghosts I killed cound was that I used the ghost trap that was surrounded by 3 wall on the ground level. There was a ghost mob that would constantly fly by. I camped that little spot with my bots. Got the badges under 2hrs.
  15. Yes. If you got into the Menu, select Optioins. In the Options window, select the "keymappings" tab. There should be a button to reset all keybinds. Sorry if its a little off, going off of memory and I'm at work so I can't verify. Hope that helps or gets you closer to what you are looking for.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Doea someone remeber the command (bind?) you use to know how many times your character died?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't know there was one. If there is I would like to know as well.
  17. As far as feeling poor, I thought it was just in my head. I've been teaming with my friend who is about 3-4 lvls behind me. I'll lackey him for my missions and he'll malifactor (sp?) / exemp me for his so I can earn infamy & prestige for our VG. Lastnight I decided to exemp to his missions to pay off debt. I noticed that I wasn't getting any infamy and it all went towards debt. I did get prestige though. So if I'm really hurting for infamy, I just exemplar/malifactor (sp?).

At the moment I want to respec my powers but only at lvl 20. I have a Robotics / Dark Maisma. I'm thinking of rolling my toon to change up power pools. I like the game enough and don't mind starting over again. This way I'll have 45k of infamy to start with.

    The one I use is:

bind ctrl+T "team OK, $target, transport in progress, keep hands and feet inside the field until effects fade!$$local Incoming teleport of $target, please stand back!$$powexec_name Recall Friend"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nice Bind. I like the local tell also. I never thought of it before. Consider is stolen.

Yours reminded me of a friends TP bind.

$target I am creation a Magical Vortex to bring you to me. Please keep your hands and feet inside the vortex at all times! (as I recall).

I think I will use it and add yours to it also.

"team $target I am creation a Magical Vortex to bring you to me. Please keep your hands and feet inside the vortex at all times!$$local Incoming teleport of $target, please stand back!$$powexec_name Recall Friend"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Great binds. I may have to "borrow" them as well. For the most part I've kept my Recall friend warning simple.

    /bind SHIFT+T "team $target, I choose you!$$powexec_name Recall Friend"

Here is the badge/plaque list in an Excel Spreadsheet. Useful for keeping track of which badge/plaque you have already collected.

Thanks for the spreadsheet Nozybida. This may sound overboard, but now I have a reason to hookup my laptop. I use my laptop to display the checklist (and play Justice Radio) on the side so I don't have to keep switching out of game to find a badge or plaque on the list. Thanks again to everyone that made that list possible and thanks Grazel for the very informative website. Keep up the good work everyone.

  20. Thanks for doing that.... you got 5 stars and a thumbs up.

    Thanks again for your help.....

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep, that will do it! Most people don't seem to have a 'deafult' key-bind file, so I don't normally suggest that (but it is my best suggestion on how to do it..).

The only thing to watch out for is if you manually activate one of the powers through the power tray. If only one of them gets activated that way, you will have the powers our of synch. That is easily corrected by 're-synching' the powers using the power tray keys/icons.

    Good luck.

    Oh, and your welcome!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sweet! Just to let you know, that bind works great. However, I tried to used it for my blaster's "AIM &amp; SNIPER BLAST" combo, but the animation for "AIM" took to long that "SNIPER BLAST" did not go off. Oh well, I'll just stick to the 1-2 button-punch for those powers. Thanks again.
  23. [ QUOTE ]

    Try this:

    maneuvers. txt
    numpad3 “+down$$-down$$powexec_name maneuvers$$bind_load_file c:/cohkeys/assault.txt”

    assault.txt
    numpad3 “+down$$-down$$powexec_name assault$$bind_load_file c:/cohkeys/maneuvers.txt”

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thnx for the advice Blue_Volt, I'll try that out. But I now have another question....

Sometimes my keys change where the number 1 key at the top has my toon say "Good Work!" instead of activating the power in the powertray in slot 1. To fix that, I have my a keybind that auto-loads my keybind file that resets all my keybinds. So that problem goes away.

To get this to work with my current keybind file, do I just put the following in my keybind file? After I create the Manuevers.txt &amp; Assault.txt files.

    <ul type="square">
    numpad3 “+down$$-down$$powexec_name maneuvers$$bind_load_file c:/cohkeys/assault.txt”[/list]
    Thanks again for your help.....
  24. I'm still new to binds and macros, but I just want to know if this will work. I plan on testing it when I get home.
What I'd like to do is activate Manuvers &amp; Assault with one key. So I think my macro should look like this:

    MACRO:
    /macro ldr "powexec_name Manuevers$$bind_load_file c:\cohkeys\leadership.txt"

    Leadership.txt
    "powexec_name Assault"

I appreciate any input you guys have on that. Thnx in advance.
