The Paragon Times REALLY PO'd me today...
I will now perform a hitherto undiscovered poem by one S. Baldric for the first time. It is believed to be the complimentary piece to his most famous work, "The German Guns".
*ahem*
Doom, Doom, Doom
Doom, Doom, Doom.
Doom, Doom,
Doom, Doom.
Doom, Doom, Doom.
Thank you.

Totally!
I looked on my map today, and do you know what I found out? There IS no Paragon City in Rhode Island!
And then, when I told my history professor about the Nazi Invasion of America during WWII, the whole class laughed at me!
I think a certain gamemaker has been telling fibs!
[/ QUOTE ]
You think you had it bad? Imagine my horror when I found out.... now get this..... THERE WAS NO ALIEN INVAsION TWO YEARS AGO!
Or perhaps since it is an alternate world North Carolina may not exist ........... but hey what do I know.

Arc# 92382 -- "The S.P.I.D.E.R. and the Tyrant" -- Ninjas! Robots! Praetorians! It's totally epic! Play it now!
Arc # 316340 -- "Husk" -- Azuria loses something, a young woman harbors a dark secret, and the fate of the world is in your hands.
Yessir!

What the HELL are you talking about??!?!?! That was a DOCUMENTARY. Brilliantly done. Verbatim about what happened. I can't believe they found actual video footage of all of that in such great detail.
I just wish the guy documenting all of this would have helped out once in awhile...but I guess if he was a true historian, he didn't want to alter any outcomes.

ARRRGHHH...
That film drives me nuts, especially when whoever I'm playing with, when they find out Im Scottish, immediately says, "I liked Braveheart".
NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo....
I live not 100 yards from Stirling Bridge, where was the bridge in the film... WHERE WAS THE HUGE [censored] SWAMP IN THE FILM!!!
<pant, pant, pant>
Sorry, but gah!
Anyway back on topic...
I'm fairly sure North America (And I suppose Canada from the maps they showed at the time) didn't fight off an invasion of Snow-man like creatures recently...
(Or maybe the Canadians did... damn PLed hockey players!)

They MIGHT have gotten it confused with the name of the firstborn non-Native American child, Virginia Dare
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, being born in America automatically made her a Native American, didn't it? Her Nativeborn soil was the land of America.....
If we're going to get technical about this stuff, we might as well pull that out too.

That'd be a bit like suggesting there were historical inaccuracies in Washington's Cherry Tree story. Sure he was real, but the story isn't anyway. By the same token Wallace was real, but whether you view him as a bandit or rebel ((or anywhere in-between) is strictly a matter of who's telling the story, as most of it is largely legend.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, it's closer to the Cherry Tree story than that (i.e., the guy was real, the story, though based on some real events, is fiction)

Yeah and jack the ripper was in 1977.

This is true. I saw a movie on it. He used H.G. Well's time machine.

I can sympathize. I grew up in Fargo, ND and now like about an hour away in Jamestown ND. Anytime I mention that fact, I get the response "I loved the movie Fargo!" Man does that piss me off. First, the movie was filmed mostly in Minnesota about 3 hours from Fargo, and secondly, no we don't talk like that. People from tiny little farming communities have a tendency to speak like that at times, but for the most part we speak pretty normally.

..and set primarily in Brainerd and the Twin Cities. The only part of "Fargo" that takes place in Fargo is the meeting at the very beginning, IIRC.

I was wondering when they taught carolinians to read and write. I have been to Rhode island many times and I have yet to see a person in a cape. I think it does have trolls though.
