Thanks, all!
And, for the record, I'm not a clone. Even the Universe has her limits. ;-) -
...and another year older today, at 51! :-)
I'll be back when "Going Rogue" hits the servers. Until then, I'll drop in now and again. Meanwhile, have fun, all!
(running out for birthday chocolate and Oreos cake) :-) -
OK, I got a response from Customer Service. Turns out they turn off that number before 12 Central.
-
I tried to call Customer Support this number using the number provided on the support web page (1-512-225-6359). I got a "This number has ben disconnected or is no longer in service" message. Tried again to verify I didn't dial a wrong number, but with the same response.
Has NCSoft changed their customer support number without updating their web page? -
A very good bit of info. Thanks!
Yep, you're right, I'm two-boxing with the occasional team (when I can get it). My goal is to flesh out and fill the talent gaps in my collection of heroes while generating prestige for my SG. I have a fire/ice tank at 50 but, frankly, she's not a favorite since the Great Burn Nerfs a few years ago. :-(
(Also, I'm not that much into villains right now. Although that Going Rogue may change that opinion. ;-) ) -
Hi! Getting back into tanks after being away for a while, so I'm looking for a good Mid's build for my Invul/Battle Ax tank. She's at 25 now, and will likely dual-team with my scrappers or controllers.
(It doesn't help when I lost my original Mid's build plans after my PC crashed. :-( )
Thanks! -
Seems to have the worst run of luck sometimes... :-(

I've reached that magic age where "rolling my own" isn't worth the effort when balanced against the limited time I have available (traveling on a new job, taking care of two 16-year olds, keeping hubby happy, and chasing the AARP away from my door with a shotgun). :-)
-
Help! My PC crashed hard yesterday and, when the dust settled, I found I had a smoked motherboard. :-( Since my current PC is 5 years old, I figure it's more cost effective to replace it with a new one than try to find the older correct parts.
Question for my fellow Protectorites: I want to purchase a desktop gaming computer I can use for CoX as well as watch DVDs, check email, surf, etc. I'm limited to local suppliers such as Best Buy and Sam's Club. I'm purchasing just the computer i.e. not a monitor/printer package. I'm also limiting my available budget to $1k.
What should I look for (and look out for) in today's PCs used to run CoX? What computer, if any, would you recommend within those parameters?
I know Protectorites area shy retiring bunch who never speak their opinions, but I thought I'd ask anyway. ;-)
Thanks! Belle -

Is a very sweet person and fun to team with.

Rasta...the name says it all. :-)

No, I haven't left the game. I went through a job change back in July, however, and I'm still adjusting to it. (When you hit 50, it takes longer to learn new tricks.) Between that and my daughter getting her license, I don't have as much free time to play.
But I AM coming back!
And when I do, I look forward to sharing with you all the same insanity which made Protector a legend in its own mind. :-)
Have fun, all!

See, you should never take out an account with Bunnies of America (BoA)...

I said that in teamspeak during my TF run yesterday. Yes, the team cracked up.
That, and when I screamed KHHANNNNNNN!!!!!! 25 minutes into beating down Reichsman. -
No it doesn't.
Twenty-five minutes into beating Reichsman down to that final sliver of health yesterday, I couldn't resist the temptation to yell:
KHHANNNNNN!!!!! -
1. What's your favorite color? RED
2. What is your very favorite song of all time? Green-Eyed Lady
3. What is your very favorite movie of all time? Casablanca
4. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what THREE things would you take with you? A book (The War of the Worlds), sun block, The Professor
5. If you could own any kind of car, what would it be? A HMMWV Not the Hummer, not the H2 or H3, a real HMMWV. OOO-RAH!!!
6. If you were in prison and were about to be executed, what would your final meal be? Steak and potatoes.
7. If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be? Vincent Price, Manly Wade Wellman, H.P. Lovecraft.
8. If you could do any profession, what would it be? Explorer
9. If you could change ONE thing about yourself, what would it be? My age. I'd love to be 20 years younger but with my current life experience.
10. Cats or dogs? Dogs.
11. What is your favorite sport and why? Shooting. I get a real thrill from taking the time and practice to put a round in the target center. Body control, target focus, breath slowly, squeeze...BANG! Oh sweet release...
12. If you had your choice between staying home watching TV, going to the movies or going to a professional sporting event, which would you choose? None of the above. TV doesn't offer me anything, most of today's movies are aimed at an audience with different tastes than mine, and I don't get my jollies from watching sweaty men play together. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course...
13. If you could be ANYBODY in the world, who would you be and why? Me. I'm pretty comfortable with myself and my life. Now, if I could only get a license to beatch-slap those around me who sorely deserve it... -

My dad passed away about 10 years ago.
I called my sister yesterday, though, and shared some of the good stories about him.
I miss him... -
Cleanup on Aisle 3. And bring the Jersey Devil air freshener while you're at it.

Your best bet is after 8:00 PM EDT in the evenings, except for Wednesday nights.
Here's my rationale:
1. Although Protector is a West Coast server, we have players from all over the CONUS and OCONUS. You stand a better chance of finding folks home from work and ready to burn 90 minutes or so in an ITF after 8:00 PM EDT.
2. Some weeknights are set aside for weekly events. For example, a Rikti Raid will be held almost every Wednesday at 9:00 PM EDT in the War Zone. Since both compete for the same group of red/blue players, you may not have much luck forming an ITF then.
Protector Watch is a good channel to use for advertising and setting up teams to tackle TFs and monsters. The membership is open to all, if you're not already using it.
Good luck on the ITF, and good hunting! And remember, "Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati"!
