Oh sweet nostalgia!
I remember the days pre 90% DR cap.
I remember the days when the answer to any noob question was the center of Perez Park
I remember the days when after riding the tram, stop by stop... only to get to Sky and be overwhelmed with both trepidation and awe.

I remember when Temporary Invulnerability was a CLICK power.

I remember this one so well. Worst 2 weeks of my life. 2 minutes of okay defense, 4 minutes of standing around in King's Row waiting for it to recharge.
I remember building my first gimped character.
I remember the massive crowd outside the Galaxy City Hospital as more and more Rikti spawned. I could make the run from the teleporter in the hospital to the front door without having to look at the screen.

I remember this one well. After hardly every dieing in beta, I died more times than I could count that night. I remember the lag and the monsters zoning in, but not moving or attacking, with Heroes chomping at the bit only to get massacred shortly thereafter
I remember when enervating field had damage with it.
I remember being able to solo at level 8 in brickstown with hover and enervating field.
I remember when the black costumes had pink on them.
I remember being the first person to fly UNDER perez park...and I remember the people who petitioned me for attacking their mobs from under the lake.
Ah...beta....such a fun time that was.

Man I can't wait for CoV Beta. These Beta stories are the best of all...
I remember running around bricks and every corner had lvl 32 vampyrs and a lvl 38 mixed in for fun.
I remember no one asking to be PL'd
Running into cave missions and thinking "Cool I like this. And saying to my buddy over TS this is neat!"
I remember running all the way out of my missions in outbreak because it never occured to me to hit "mission complete" until someone I was teamed with told me I could.
I remember messing around with the character creator for like 2 hours, between ATs and costumes, before settling on my first character. Ah, the start of a maniacally obsessed alt-a-holic.

I remember when you couldn't choose the destination when you got on the monorail. Instead you had to get off and back on at each stop.
I remember the 5th Column.
I remember when level 40 was the top security level.
I remember there not being any mark for the Tram on the Map and having to run aimlessly throuout the city hoping to stumble apon it.
I remember when Miss Liberty stood on the ground with the rest of us.
I remember when these board had only 2 sections
I remember Krunch, Havoc, Hung_Lo, Brickbat, The_Confessor, Atomic_X et al
I remember when Glowies made no sound.
I remember triple instanced Atlas Park Every night!
I remember seeing my first Devouring Earth Fungi emanator in Steel Canyon and marveling at it. It was level 30 and none of us level 15s could hit it.
I remember hitting all the zones for the first time, spending time both taking in the sights and being scared of the high level mobs I was carefully avoiding.
I remember thinking the original chat window was overwhelming.
I remember when the only way to sit was Indian-style.
I remember running all the way out of my missions in outbreak because it never occured to me to hit "mission complete" until someone I was teamed with told me I could.
I remember Aura sending out beta invites...
I remember the first time I hit Atlas Park, like a kid in a candy store...

A-men. CoV, when will you bring us back to simpler days?
I remember Innovations' essay posts, and how we didn't need to post comments after his.
I remember screenshots being rare.
I remember learning to slot enhancements.
I remember Archetypes and Power Sets being mysterious.
I remember not knowing just who or what the heck I was fighting.
I remember Boxhead6177's website before WarCry and Artphobia.
I remember not knowing there was a train and running everywhere, then finding out about it and not knowing exactly where the stations were in each zone. I would look at the map and say to my friend, "does that look like a train station roof?"
I remember during the Rikti invasion in beta, right before the game came out, that most of them just stood there and were not attackable
I remember making an illusion/kinetic in the pre-order headstart after never seeing a single kinetic and only a few below level 5 illusionists during my entire beta experience...
I remember every time I try to make a hiddeous hero, I get countless compliments on the "cool costume" (these days only a rare few newbies ever bother to even look at (forget compliment on) your costume)
They call me the Super-Genius of Justice for a reason... but they forgot what it was.

I remember devil's advocating Innovation's ideas.
I remember talking the oldbies down from their ledges over the new AT system.
I remember the joy of having more than one of my questions answered in the IRC chat post E3.
I remember Statesman's E3 videos.
I remember when contacts didn't exist in our minds.
I remember the first time we heard that there would be random crimes to stop on the street.
I remember when the Freakshow TF had no outdoor missions.
I remember when I could control an AV without having to strain my eyes for a nearly invisible purple thing.
I remember being lvl 15 er so, doing 3000 damage to lvl 4's in Atlas with neutrino bolt; after an application of Enervating Field.
I remember how the enervating field bug acted with freezing rain, and you could 2 shot even lvl bosses.

I remember the days when beta would end early in the evening and purposely logging off and back on before the servers went down, just to have access to the character generation until the servers came up again the next day.
I remember EncounterVictim!
I remember TODO:ADD_TEXT
I remember hunting Level 40 Death Mages in Founders.. at 18.
I remember Vamps and Wolves at every corner in Bricks.
I remember hunting Swarms and Monkey's for good xp.
I remember people would rather hospital than take a Mutation.
I remember thinking 6-slotting a power was pointless if it only accepted 3 types of enhancements.
I remember running from the Steel Canyon entrance of IP to Brickstown (at level 13) only to come face to face with a VERY purple freak tank and making a quick trip to the Brickstown hospital.
I remember keeping that 'will videos be in CoH' topic alive in the old boards for something like two years!
I remember a dev posting how to make demos. (I think it started with "I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this but...." )
I remember having endless fun watching demos while less l33t beta testers sat in the character creation screen for days.
I remember Sabre Cat posting Dev digests - best player service to the community I've ever seen in this game!
I remember a beta session ending with my level 12 controller up on top of IP's Valor Bridge and having to get home without being sidekicked. (Made it, though not uninjured.)
I really remember the Rikti Invasion and having our hospital Z-rushed by Rikti.
I remember when we rallied and owned that Rikti commander. Over and over and over again. And the Rikti Commander did know debt.
I remember debt not scaling right and the people that were high level (read: 34) needing something like 10 hours of death-free play to hope to pay off the debt for one death.
I remember posting screenshots to the board and even demos!
I remember getting the beta invite on a Monday and spending something like 16 hours reading how to play the game. I hit the tutorial for the first time already knowing about how to + enhancements and make macros!
I remember starting the tutorial and not knowing how to make my character change facing so I could turn around.
I remember when single origin enhancements dropped at level 1, and i also remember having to delete them because they were useless to my mutant character becuase they were all natural enhancements. I had to delete them because there was still no place to sell enhancements.
I remember when controllers were great against AVs because they had boss magnitude and could be chain held.
Then when controllers were ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS because of an admitted stealth nerf where our holds weren't useful at all.
Then the final fix which was a red light/green light for holds that isn't all that great (since we're not in melee and can't see the green light indicator) but at least lets controllers do something other than act as weak defenders for an AV fight.
I remember first getting off the tram at Steel canyon by mistake and turning around only to find I couldn't get back on. I went all the way to the green line with my lvl 6 like a scared little girl only to find that that was even worse than where I was, and then going all the way back to find the real entrance to the Yellow line tram.
I remember first getting to Atlas and thinking "Wow, this place is huge!" How the heck am I going to find that liberty person?
I remember my first time running the Synapse TF with all friends who'd never done it before at lvl 12 and spending 2 debt-filled days trying to make it to the back of Boomtown for our mission.
I remember the first time two of us got TP friend and immedietly TP friend fighting "No he's my friend, BWAANG!, no he's mine! BWAANG!".
I remember having to tell half my supergroup how to view the front their character
I remember when I was a complete NOOB to all MMORPGS and didn't know what KS, PL, SK, FF, Artphobia, etc, etc, etc. were.
I remember getting my first singularity with my Grav/Storm and thinking "YES! I can FINALLY solo!" and within about 5 minutes of getting it watching a lvl 34 Fire/Kin stomp by with a whorde of monkies and slaughteur a bunch of +5s solo
I remember the first time someone wrongfully accused us of kill-stealing after they had jumped into the fight after us and how mad it made me
I remember when I used to not do anything but work and talk to coworkers at work.
This game is too fun!

I also remember when blaster no longer had "melee" but "support".
I remember when there 3 servers....but only 2 (Prime and Pinnacle) were online...and Justice never went up.
Heck! I remember there being only Prime!

I remember when hasten and accelerate metabolism got changed in the same patch and the game was supposed to end because of that, and how peoples lives were ruined because they had "built characters entirely around those powers." hehe
I remember when you would delete your character if you didnt like one small thing about their costume.
I remember when storm kick reminded me of Chun Li, and every katana user was right handed, instead of a southpaw.
I remember when the only way to sit was Indian-style.
