Noticed a few things..
A tap dancing Jesus? Nice visual for the New Year. I like it. Its festive. That being said, I'll get to the point. I said it before and I'll say it again:
Give them time to fix the problems....or don't. Your choice.
I for one am giving them time. Thats all I'm saying.
P.S: Thanks for the response States! Welcome back!
Check out my "Rule Britannia" series if you feel like something different. The arcs are #19599, #20575, #23977, #134775, #134923 and #144543. The series is complete, but spinoffs are in the works.
I have no doubts about your motives. But I think your changes to bosses and archvillains are going to cripple the game for all but the uber players, and the communication regarding the rollout of Issue 3 was a disaster.
My arcs are constantly shifting, just search for GadgetDon for the latest.

There are always many players unhappy when any game is updated in any manner. You cannot please all of the people all of the time.

See why I said that it shouldn't be released today?
Welcome to Issue 2 - Redux.

Yeah, those were some game-breakers! Good call. Devs don't know what they're doing. I know if I came across some erroneous text, I wouldn't be able to continue.

I still don't know why they asked for testing. If it was going to happen as is. The only thing I think they fixed was the -50% D on test. I am just pissed they talked me into doing testing.

Statesman:
From memory...
We changed Regen, saw that it wasn't working, changed it again to its current state.
We rolled back minion, lt. hit point increases.
We rolled back a change in Tanker burn.
We made numerous tweaks to the Ancillary power sets.
That's just from memory.

As for the Invulnerability, Kheldian, Burn, etc. feedback - all of it was read and considered. We were pleased with the data we received and thought that the changes met our goals. That isn't to say that we might not tweak these things further - but by and large, we are happy with the changes.

Thank you for clarifying that you do not care about your players.
I'm sorry, but this has changed me from a staunch supporter of yours to a bitter player that has lost all confidence in the integrity of the people running his game. I no longer have any faith that I can spend time building a character and not have it eviscerated due to the moods/whims/convenience/political climate existant at the Dev. offices.
Please enjoy being happy with your changes, and I hope your Christmas was as care free as mine was fretful due to this.

Thank you for the clarification States. While some of those will decree the game 'unplayable' with threats of 'I quit', please keep in mind there are many of us who do appreciate what you and your team is doing and find CoH a very entertaining game to play.

I don't write on boards much but I must voice my complaint.
This update 3 has totally changed the way the game is played for me. I spent 6 months working on my DM/INV scrapper to where he is now and "you" have taken most of it away in 1 swoop. To boot I just logged on and can not even respec out of it. Can I get a credit for the days I can't play?
I have played massive multiplayer games since the beta of Ultima Online. I have never seen such a drastic change to a class as this one was. The fact that I must rebuild my character just to play again is absurd. I have $50+6 monthsx$15 plus hundreds of hours and you show your thanks this way has me beyond upset. I have now payed and spent a lot of my personal time for something I don't want. It shows how little you care for the time and money commitment us long term players have invested in this game.
I can't wait for car companies to start modifying your car 6 months after you get it because it is too fast or too this or too that. I wish you would spend your time growing the content, making more challenges for your so-called "uber" AT's rather than changing their original utility and play style.
People play this game for the fantasy but you have crushed that for many of us.

If you let your Christmas be ruined by game changes, you have some issues.

Could we at least get some responses to this feedback, even if it's too late to do anything? Going live with no comment, it feels like the response to all of the feedback generated over the holidays is "We don't care."

If some change in a video game ruined your christmas, you need a major overhaul of your perspective.
Please reconsider Kheldians. I came back to your game to play these and I am incredibly disappointed for them. The reasons for this have been posted constructively numerous times in various threads, but if you don't know them, please just play a Kheldian from level 1 to 10 one afternoon.

I have to agree with the points you've made here. I'm not sure what the situation or the solution is. I suspect telling you that you agree to the whims of the devs (no matter how unfair) really won't make you feel any better.
Are you playing them solo or in a group? For solo play the kheldians were meant to be a challenge. For players who had played the game and learned the mechanics of proper slotting and power selection and who could determine from the enemies up ahead what powers and what inspirations to be used to win.
Kheldians are not a bash bash the space button character. A lot of complainers are those that powerleveled and therby never learned anything about the game besides how to cheat.

HEAR HEAR! Well spoken err... typed!
You get a free respec later in the week. Did you burn all your respecs? If so then obviosuly you aren't very thoughtfull and constantly f-ed up your build.
If anything the inv changes make it more a comic book feel. I played with several inv scrappers on test and they didn't mind the changes.
Oh Perma Unstoppable was taking away. Guess what Jack that was a save your [censored] power not a mainstay. The lower level powers you first took where meant to be the mainstays. The later powers are mostly if you bother to look at them nice to have but they aren't mainstays.

But sometimes a bug isn't serious enough to hold up a release - that's when we decide to go live with something. We know that there might be some niggling details to address over the next few weeks.

I personally don't think that Energy Absorption not working correctly is a niggling detail. My character is seriously ganked now. When might this be fixed?

With all due respect, read the Dev digest, CuppaJo has already addressed the respec here.

Yes, there are some bugs - that's inevitable. Typos, etc. A team gathers these from the forums, puts them in the database, and then we have at them.
