The Kudos Thread

Kudos to CuppaJo for responding to my mundane PM about a thread in the CoV board. Way to go.

Kudos to the resizable map! I can now shrink it down, zoom in and leave it up all the time.

Kudos to the SG window changes/ additions! A lot more helpful and friendly.

Kudos to the slimmed down mission window! Much more intuitive.

Kudos to the free respec! Not all my chars need it but I'm glad the offering is there for everyone.

Kudos for making everyone wrack there brains trying to make the new monsters spawn. Even if it is totally random and the players have no bearing. The conversations that come up are a community builder, if not pretty funny at times.

Kudos to all the Dev posts lately! The dedication to your creation and us, the players, you guys have been showing in the new year is very comforting. Not to mention almost unheard of. I mean Statesman has made, what, 20+ posts in 2 days alone? Astounding. All the Dev's deserve a round on the house!

And as always, kudos for this thread.

Thank you for Striga Isle!

Now if only we could re-cool-ify Kings Row so I wouldn't be so torn between the two locations . . .

Maybe create a new level 5-8 zone and have Kings Row become Realm of the Random Ambushes?

Still, awesome work on Striga.

I just want to put my two cents worth in this. Thanks to the Devs for making an amazing game, I've made some wonderful friends. I'm an altaholic so I really love the character creator, I've filled almost every server :-)
So just thanks again for such an amazing game!!!

Lots of things spring to mind:

Said it before here, but it bears repeating -- I am loving me the Striga Isle. Heeeere, puppy puppy puppy... please don't belch in my face...

Snowballs and snow monsters. We took on a Cranky Frosty today with a group of about 10 or so and had a snowball fight afterwards. (Dumb me opened my present too soon. I can never wait.)

Now that I have free respecs I've got to figure out what to do with them. Dangit.

Eyebeams! I can have eyebeams! Wonderful, goofy eyebeams!

I really like the temp powers. My scrapper enjoys his Striga Shotgun. "I wanna show you a trick mother showed me when you weren't around, to use on special occasions like this." *BLAM* (My favorite by far is still the Freakshow, ahm, 'disguise'.)

Dark Astoria: Creepy fog, shuffling undead, and plenty of windows for my teleporter to plaster himself against.

(Oh yeah: Kudos to Stateman because he didn't @nuke me after I sent him my foot-stamping, petty post-Issue-2 Private Message. Sorry about that one.)

I got pegged with a snowball tonight. HILARIOUS! Thanks.

Sadly, I must add a kudo tonight for the ignore feature in the game. A second kudo for building a community where I've been playing for 8 months and this is the first time I had to do that.

Kudos for snowballs! I had a blast tonight throwin' down with other heroes, even though I could not hit the broad side of Atlas' stoney [censored] with a frickin' snowball....

I have enjoyed the holiday event thus far, and I know it should only get better. Kudos for 30' walking snowmen! Kudos for mini-snow men! Kudos for more badges!

Um... okay. I'm done geeking out now. Seriously, thanks guys!

I must once again visit thi9s thread and pass kudos out to the dev team here. Not too terribly long ago, I was very concerned over a fourthcoming game mechanic issue, and I totally misinterpreted a post by statesman. Being a good little SW:G survivor, I ran pell mell to the forums to moan anc complain long andloud. Statesman himself responded to my thread (first time that has EVER happened to me) and set the record straight, not only alleviating my concerns, but doing so in a succinct and professional fashoin (a personality trait I was not choosing to exhibit at the time). So - once again, KUDOS DEVS!

I love the winter event. It may not be quite what people hoped, and I'll admit I was hoping for snow too, but I love it anyway. Snowball fights are great . Thank you Devs, for so much content within just the last week. I've been neglectful of my responsibilities, and YOU are to blame, but I can't blame you much, because it's so.. so.. good.

I can't say that I have ever played a game that involves killing giant snowmen. Great job devs, loved it

In the huge auditorium the murmers of anxious heroes die down as Statesman takes the podium and delivers his lecture on Solo and Team Play. As he outlines his new plan for how solo play will be supported and team play be encouraged his audience grows incredibly silent. When his speech is done, Statesman looks at the faces in the silent auditorium. Did they like what they heard?

From the back, the sound of one lone hero clapping makes it begin, as ever more rapidly the heroes clap in rhythm, chanting:
states-man.
states-man.
states-Man.
states-Man.
States-Man!
States-Man!
States-MAN!
States-MAN!
STATES-MAN!
STATES-MAN!!

As a smile spreads accross his face, Statesman bows grandly and turns to leave the stage.

Then, he returns to the podium and says: I want to make this very, very clear...these changes are due to not only the "data", but the well reasoned posts on these boards. I really do read & really do listen! The "devs" aren't cooped up in an ivory tower; we love this game just like you do! In the end, we're all players. I have the privilege of being the lead designer. I want to do what's BEST for the game. .

SHEER PANDEMONIUM ENSUES

OK, maybe not. But that's how it felt in my mind.

Statesman, my hats off to you. You're a class act.

I feel so bad as I think I missed this wonderful thread and it was started on my BD!
So thank you Dev's for the very 1st MMOG that I have ever wanted to play, started it and soon found that I love to play! For a game that I now spend what free time I can playing and enjoying/loving it! Even if I voice a gripe or concern - Please Know that fully 90% of the time I spend on COH is Fun Time!

I have but one complaint and that not enough time to play this wonderful game here of course if I could play all the time it still would not be enough. Thanks for the addiction.

I just want to add my thanks to all the developers out there. Every time I think I am losing interest in CoH I find another thing that just sucks me right back in. With the upcoming CoV expansion I don't see myself leaving this game any time soon. Long live City of Heros!!!!

THANKS!!!!! Thanks to the devs and the support staff, the in-game GMs and everyone involved. You folks are the best.

I laughed out loud in my local game store today. I looked at an advance order (empty box) copy of the upcoming Matrix game. It bragged about how wonderful their city environment was going to be. I then looked at the game's system requirements. If you don't have a meg of memory and an AMD 3000+ or equivalent, you can't even play their game. I thought of all the students and families who don't run the latest, fastest computers and how glad I am that I'm on CoH with them and not going to be buried under leetspeak with the overclocked ubergeeks. Then I looked at who is putting that game out. THAT'S when I laughed.

Congrats on a WONDERFUL game, Jack and crew. Youse guyz iz da bestest!

All the best...

I just showed the game to a friend last night. He was BOWLED over by the eye candy. I've grown to take it for granted a bit, so it was a nice reminder of how nice even the "old hat" areas in the game looks.

So kudos for the eye candy.

I'd like to chime in. Thanks Devs for making such a great game, and adding so much needed content to it, and continuing to balance, and rebalance, on Test and Live, to get the gameplay right.

I would like to thank the devs for allowing me to burp in the face of evil!

I would like to thank the devs for giving my best friend in real life, who moved to Colorado, a way for us to interact still.

I would like to thank the Devs for giving me something that i can take out my aggression on.

I think I've participated in 95% of these kudos threads, normally I post AFTER Statesman already beats me to it. But once again, great job devs! So far Cryptic been keeping your promises and have displayed excellent responses to the community. You do what you don't have to do and I for one definitely appreciate you all the more better, even the devs who work behind the scenes and don't post often or at all.

Great job guys!

I'd like to post a kudos to the devs and all the little inside jokes that pop up from time to time. I was running through a Nemesis mission last night, one of the office ones, and one of the mobs in there asked about the TPS report. Had to stop and laugh.

There's nothing that says the Devs have to be that cool and put little pop culture things in the game, but they do. That's just awesome. Kudos for throwing in teh funny where we least expect it.
