The Kudos Thread
States and crew:
Thanks for all the Defender and Controller PvE love in I4. Turned a lot of "don't bother" powers into "how do I find a slot for that" powers. I very much appreciate that when you are looking at fixing an AT, you take out the low-hanging fruit with minimal delay.
Thank you for having the stones to put out a game that WASN'T just like all the rest....
Thank you for creating a solid, well thought out game. The intelligence in the design shows in many ways, especially in your ability to modify the game and add content.
I'm grateful that you speak to us plainly and as adults. You don't try to hide the game mechanics and you work with us in making a better game.
The game is fun and I am looking forward to it getting even better.
I am disappointed in the article that spawned this thread. I agree that there are negative threads on these forums, but overall I think the people who post here are much more positive, mature and helpful than any other game forum I have seen. I shudder at the thought of reading EQ, EQ2, SWG, or WoW forums. I think the negativity in those games begin with the developers and then becomes a cycle of anger and negativity. I know when I read those forums how angry I would get and it would show in my posts.
Thank you for CoH! It's the only MMO I look back at and feel like I was playing and not working.
I'd definitely like to thank all of the Devs, Mods and even posters here that keep me coming back for more throughout my day.
THANK YOU!

Dittos on the kudos. Playing mainly Defenders and Controllers myself, its shaping up to be a pretty interesting Issue. Sure there's things changing, and maybe not to exactly what I might want, but still, I've never felt the Devs were silent, abandoning us, or just not caring.
Also another thing, not that I think you guys would, but you Devs have never once been billigerent or anything but funny and nice, even when a lot of the posts directed your way are biliigerent. Thanks for listening.

Thanks to all that staff that helped put this game on the market, prior to COH you could not drag me screaming and kicking onto an MMOG!
And thanks to the Dev's for the continued issues and improvments - even if I do not agree with them, you guys rock!
And also a thanks to all the "really great" folks spread out across all the servers that help to make this great game what it is!

Thank you from a first time MMORPGer, who never thought he would ever get into these types of games.
As a long time comic book fan, it was like a dream come true the moment I hit 14 with my first character, and I was able to FLY.

What coh_pepsiman said!
I have an idea! No wait...it's just gas.
Hellscorp
Thanks for a game that I truly enjoy. I have played since launch and have not lost interest. The ability to have many ALTS lets me change things up so when a particular character is going through a slow point in his 'career' I can jump over to another and revisit him later!
Thanks again!

Way to bring it, Cryptic! Best combat ever.
Thank you for making me feel like a hero and have fun doing so.
Thank you for letting me be a lazy Hero and badge hunt and enter costume contests and have fun doing so.
Thank you for introducing me to new friends who are some of the best people I have ever met.
Thank you for letting my defenders that I love, protect and even solo and for my alt scrapper and tank for being there when I need badly to beat up things because life annoys me sometimes
Thank you
I'd like to thank the MODs this time, for these boards themselves. The "regulars" in the Controllers area have formed a pure controller SG and I'm having a great time participating.
Thanks for setting up this area to help me meet such great people to game with.
Not much more to add except my thanks as well. I had a silly little problem earlier today in one of the missions, and /petitioned. Not 5 minutes later GM_Joshua showed up to help me.
Do these guys and gals simply sit by the door, ready to jump into action? *shakes head in disbelief* It was the best customer service I've ever encountered!
So thank you, devs! Thanks for a wonderful world, and more importantly, wonderful employees
(And, of course, a special thanks to GM_Joshua. You rock!)
I don't think we can really thank the developers enough for giving us this awesome game, and for continuing to provide (free!) content that helps keep it fresh and spiffy.

Thank you for the choice not to put loot into the game. Thank you for making a game that I can play with my friends no matter what level we are. Thank you for not encouraging buff bots. Thank you for making the story the primary part of the game instead of an after thought. Thank you for making an MMO that is about something other than Elves and trolls and skinable rats.
Thank you for the changing scenery. Thank you <huggles the devs>
WooHOOO go DEvs!!!
Been here a year and still can't to see what comes next from you guys!
I heard so many discouraging things about MMOs -- kill-stealing, player-killers, and so on -- that I had never been willing to try one. My friends encouraged me to give City of Heroes a go, and I'm glad they did. Thanks for making a game that encourages player cooperation instead of player killing! Having a higher-level swoop in to kill you and take your stuff would not be fun; having a higher-level swoop in to heal and buff you during a tough fight is really cool. Being that higher-level is even cooler! It really makes one feel heroic!
So thanks for a fantastic game! Thanks that I can play with my friends no matter which toons we are logged in with through SKing and exemplaring. Thus far all the updates have been interesting and well done, and I can hardly wait for Issue 4!
Kudos, also, on the presentation, customer support, graphics, settings, and wonderfully detailed background. This is a wonderful game!
Tam Lyn Carter, Ialuine, Propitious Puma, Seraf Berylwing, Snowsprite, Damian Newmoon
Chibi Dark Tam, Mr. MacStabbity, Turlin, Frostsprite
And many many more across all servers.
What am I most thankful for? Hmmm...oh, that's easy. The little things that probably nobody notices. Like today, i was in the sewers and happened to notice that little swarms of insects gather near the ceiling lights. Do they do anything? Nope. But it's a wicked cool dose of unnecessary realism. :-D
And that's why I like it. *gives big thumbs up*
Tsukiyomi - Protector
@Tsukiyomi, @Imoyikust
Thanks for a great game.
Thanks for taking the time to provide great visual updates to existing missions that keep them fresh.... like the Freak Olympics story arc. Great Job on that one!
Thanks for careing about the game. You are constantly watching it to make it the best game you believe it can be. I may not always agree with your changes, but you provide a forum to air that and you listen to what is said. That is the main reason this game is so good. You do communicate with us and listen to us.
Thanks again.
Just plain thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for challenging my ideas of what makes a game great!
Thanks for making a character creation system that's at both times simple and complex!
Thanks for making yourselves availible!
Thanks for making the new content FREE!!!!!
And thanks for so many other things that I just can't remember right now!
[EDIT]Woot! Page 33! [/em MoG stance][/EDIT]
Thank you for the freakshow! Never before have I had so much fun beating up drug addicted cyber punks that can fly and shoot electricity and and and and....Thats about it isnt it?
They also can come back from the dead, and throw sharpened gears at you, and fire bombs, and slice you with razor sharp extremities.
I know I will see you again on another game somewhere - one game can't hold all us crazies forever.

Some people just need to be on the cross at all times for the attention, I guess.
Friggin_Taser
and thank you for Gravity/!!!
Never before has a mini hamidon given me so much joy!
I would like to thank you, Statesman, and all the others that made the FIRST MMORPG that I have actually enjoyed. I have tried out WoW, SWG, and everquest 2 before this one.. I never enjoyed them. This one, However, is my pride and joy.
However, my mother says that when DNDonline comes out, I ahve to make a choice: Dungeons and Dragons, the thing I love so much... or City of Heroes...
I can assure you, RIGHT NOW, City of Heroes is my choice, and Thats comming from a kid whos been playing DnD since he was 8 years old (Though I didnt understand most of the stuff till I was 10)
I would thank the mods for actually READING the message boards, instead of nit-picking that we accidentally misspelled 'Taco' in a 6000 word post, instead of the actual post.
I would like to thank Statesman for reading the boards as well. He actually listens to peoples suggestions. While many think his Nerf-Bat is all-consuming, I dont mind. Change is the only true variable, after all. He thinks its whats right, and thats good enough for me.
I would like to thank the devs for Task/Strike Forces. I enjoy them a LOT. Free xp and AVs, baby!
I would like to thank the guy who wrote the song that made my baby fall in love with me...
TEH EDIT: I would also like to thank PsiBug for preparing me for the horrible world ahead of me, and generally being a good person. And for the only person that I know of with the juggly boobs that look perfect... and hypnotising... AT THE SAME TIME!
Woo, I missed this thread. I'd like to thank the wonderful community for being just plain cool. It's the best gaming community I've had the pleasure of being a part of. And therefore, we can thank the devs for making this game for us all to be a part of.
