I'll be trying these tonight. I run fine except in certain Arachnos Maps and in teams larger than 5.
Thanks for the information and Thanks to Athyna for pointing me here. -
We're definitely going to miss you. Good luck in the new endeavor.
We'll try not to drive the new person crazy...much. -

AASQ #1 is causing all sorts of nasty browser problems so - it must die.
Is it TEOTWAWKI? (The End of the World as We Know IT?)
[/ QUOTE ]
A: For some people it will be.
Q: Did I get first reply?
[/ QUOTE ]
A: No you didn't....
[ QUOTE ]
q) Is this the new AASQ?
[/ QUOTE ]
A: No! We must start with te correct question!
Q: Where are the Lost in Kings Row?
[/ QUOTE ]
A: Same place they were last week
Q: Do you like the new box I have, it has racing stripes! -

I usually randomly choose. I encounter the same [censored] in either city. (I know, I know, I *MUST* be doing something to attract them, I dunno, like *PLAYING* maybe?)

Almost from jump the world's greatest Superhero MMOG had been plagued by naysayers, people who were predicting the game's demise with only the flimsiest of logic to back their feelings up. Today's question is: What's your fave?
My personal fave (regrettably I don't have a link to it, and I'm too lazy to go looking for it) was the guy who was convinced that the game was 'dying' (as of just after issue 2) because the servers had so little lag!

Did someone call for DOooooooooooomm!!? -

Hope they start the invasion soon... I assume they had bigger fish to fry with fixing the broken things in Issue #2, but they really should start the invasion while people still even REMEMBER the scouts.
Think it will be NEXT Thursday?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well i dont think it will be next thursday. From what I can remember from the invasion only those eye thingies and the rularu brutes came through the portals. But there are plenty of other type of rularu like the wisps and those strange little flying things with wings. Of course all of these are in the shadow shard if you want to see them, you have to be high level though to get in. But now it seems as though when you enter the shadow shard you are actually invading thier world. Im hoping that in the future the devs make them invade us again, but this time with a bigger force!

Bad Necroposter, BAD!! Now go to your room and await your DOoooomM! -
I'd just say go for it. This has definitely been a good read and I definitely will be trying to remember to have pen and paper when I sit down to play.
-
Happy Anniversary!!
And an unconditional thank you to all of you who created and maintain COH!!
OH yeah and you are all Doooooooommed!! -
Nice post, Tpull. All rants should be like this.

That was a good one TPull. Now I know what I am facing as I knock on the door to level 42.

Tsoo pronounced Sue just seems dumb, no offense.
[/ QUOTE ]
None taken, but most of us that call them "sue" are doing so as a joke. -
[ QUOTE ]
So basically.... we got
tsoo (the name) is hmong
sorcerers have the chinese look
crane warriors have the japanese look - you don't see many chinese ninja
thus I guess the tsoo are suppose to be "asian like" instead of a particular ethnic.
Consider I'm more of a visual person, I'm going with "sue" sound than the hmong version.
[/ QUOTE ]
You don't see many "chinese" ninja, but they do exist, at least in Mortal Kombat. Lin Kuei anyone? (I do believe they are based on fact somewhere as I seem to recall a Nintendo game by KOEI that had chinese ninja in it. -

Interestingly enough "Tub Ci" is the leader of the "Txhu"
Tub in Hmong means "Son" (and is used in phrases to describe different groups of people like messenger and soldier) and "Ci" means bright or to shine. So his name might mean something like "The Bright Son".
[/ QUOTE ]
The Hmong descriptions makes more sense than the one I was talking about, especially with the direct reference to the Hmong from the pedestrian, and the name Tub Ci making sense in the Hmong language. I have a recollection of seeing that ingame before. I wonder which map? Talos perhaps?
Upsen.
[/ QUOTE ]
So if you defeat Tub CI, we should ask for a badge. It could be called "Tub Thumper" of course! -

I keep the T sound at the beginning, like in the Japanese ABCs...
ta chi tsu te to
like the tsu in tsubasa or tsuki.
Yeesh my explainerisms are nots working today too well.
Oh I got it... it's the same tsu as in "Tsunami", which is a Japanese word that most people know. 8)
edit - man this is hard to explain, it's not a soo-nami!
Upsen.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't worry, I understand what you mean.
And I'd like to add, this isn't French, where one out of four letters isn't pronounced (stupid french). So it's T-sue.
All you people saying it's pronounced "sue" should be ashamed of yourselves.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why would I be ashamed of calling them "sue?" I can kick their butts now. Hell, I may start calling them "nancy."
Of course my lowbies will call them (F$&^$%#%$#@%!) -

From the History of Talos Island:
[ QUOTE ]
In the last climatic battle against his arch foe, the Chimera, Talos and the serpentine beast clashed beneath the waters of the bay. A mighty battle ensued, shaking Paragon City to its foundations, tearing a giant rift in the ocean floor from which earth and lava rose to form an island. Known today as Talos Island, it is said that both Talos and the Chimera are still locked in mortal combat within its stony embrace.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you THE PLOT:
"Oh no! The Chimera has broken free and is terroizing the city! We need YOU to go and get Talos free as well, so he can help us! You have to wait until the moon turns red and the sun rises in the west! (1000000 points to someone who gets the reference.) Then, the two will battle it out in the BATTLE OF THE GIANT MONSTERS!!!"

Was that the one with the giant eyeballs that would float around the various zones ?
I was pretty new to the game when that one happened, but it probably was one of the major "Wow!" factors that got me so hooked - As a lowbie back then, it was *coooooool* to sit back and watch an army of heroes flock to a scene to wipe em out
(Though since I've now been on a few Hami raids, it was small scale compared to the hordes of heroes to hammer Hami

No, the eyes were the forerunners for The Shard. The Ralruu, if I recall right. (I guess I better remember since I am going to be going there in the next month or so.)
The Rikti Invasion was on the last night of Beta. Gigantic Ships filled the sky and newbies like me got owned repeatedly by rikti monkeys. -
