In '08 I installed SP3 and then rolled back to SP2 because of the same problem I'm having now. SP3 installs, but doesn't seem to recognize my video card. It won't allow me to select 1680x1050 resolution and Device Manager does not show my video card.
CoH I20 apparently won't work with SP2, so I have to solve this somehow.
I have already tried reinstalling the video driver, and it seems to have had as little effect on the computer as a bullet bouncing off Statesman's helmet.
Edit: (This is a Radeon 4650, but during the same fiasco 3 years ago, it was an Nvidia card in the same machine.) -
Trouble with the new patch, so Nightfall Ace may not be joining you tonight.

Thanks for the welcome! The time slot lays great for me, as I'm an east coast public school teacher with an early bedtime. Your level of in-character falls right along with my natural style. I will try to come by next week with Nightfall Ace and get to know you all. I'll be glad to read up on anything you point me to, but I'm also fine learning the characters in-game as I go. See, Ace has been out of the city for a couple years, and the force has a lot of new people he's getting to know.
7 Tuesday in front of the Kings' Row PPD? -
Hey, I haven't read all 11 pages of this thread, but I'd love to drop by one night for the RP portion and see if I might be a good fit. I have an existing PPD-based character, just level 18. How often do you meet, please, and are newcomers welcome?

Mmm... ramen.
I get the same issue on my 6000-series card... pauses, that is, thankfully not crashes.
The way the AE works, it unfortunately makes more sense for players to congregate in one area to find teams easiest. Atlas and Cap win because everyone can get there easily regardless of level. But, yeah, when it's just my buddies and I, we usually work out of Talos instead of Atlas for performance reasons. And you've still got a WW, trainer, and stores very close by. Only the Hero Corps liason is a bit of a flight. -
I think Paladin means no OOC pouting and power plays.
Welcome to Virtue, Paladin! I'm a light/action RPer myself, so I can't offer much help as far as recommending a supergroup.
But if you're heavy RP, you should check out the Mission Architect. Write some good stories for me to adventure through! -
60 secs is a lot, but I like the idea of being able to use clues to find the right glowie. It lets a player using his or her head save some time.

and why would splitting teams take a long time? just divide by 2. or pick captains schoolyard style...

I was on a team once that regularly had 8<attendance<16 and we had no trouble sorting out two teams and getting going quickly. We tried to balance each team for healing/damage, etc. -
Hello, there.
I just read the first page and the last. 7:00-9:30 is a great time for me. If you all are still playing in that slot, and you have room available, I'd love to get it on it.
I may not be the perfect candidate to join you though. I may miss about once a month, although I don't mind levelling in the off-time to catch up and be ready for the next week. I like to RP within the context of missions, but I normally don't like standing around advancing RP storylines when there's black hats that need blasting! I try to create strong, memorable characters, and just RP them in the course of the action.
Let me know if I might fit in. -
