Inspirations are ment to be used some why not use them

Precisely, the game is designed on balance. You attack. I defend. Move and counter- move.

Simply put; bad losers. Marquand Dance was bang on the nail, it's so daft, you're not allowed to use your powers!

Stryker had a good rule too, don't talk.

Mine is, if you are an orange name to me, i will do anything and everything in my power to put you down

    RV AV Bashing

Just a tiny bit of notice then!??!

Ah well, if it comes up again, let me know

  4. YES! At last! We have a decent SG, it is fairly active atm, and wehave all the basic parts of the base installed so its nicely functional but we haven't been able to expand for ages!

This is good news Keep it up Posi!
  5. This is most certainly a personal request but hey, you don't ask, you don't know, right?

The last couple of Hami raids that have been planned have all been for a Monday evening. I work Monday evenings!

Just wondered if they happen on other nights and when/if they do, sign me up, I am gagging to get stuck in from what I've heard.

And no I can't plan/arrange one, from the details I've read on planning them... I take my hat off to those heroes.
I'd be willing to help lead a squad though.

    debting

Not sure if this was implemented to 'lessen' the debt from a kill, but one thing is for sure, you WILL leave debt.

I was never bothered about the old system, a mob kills me = debt happens, i accepted this as a peril of the pvp zone.

I love pvp but fully understand it when after 2 hours of fun, you hobble back into the PvE and shake your head at the new debt you have to work off.

Change it back! Or rule out debt in pvp zones all together, we're there to pvp afterall.

And on topic, it sounded quite callous, probably not petitionable IMO. Best plan: gank the nonce via tell and pvp friends. But tp foe sounds good too.... but that works both ways....

    This is great!

Good, glad to hear it. I too, like the stalker AT but there is still a considerable amount out there that [censored] about the AT purely for [censored] about the AT. Ignore them!

And you don't need to gank, you just have to play the stalker AT properly.

As an aside thought, I believe the stalker gets a lot of bad press because a lot of new players go straight for it because of the 'easy kill'. Nowadays, with the right playstyle, there aren't really any uber builds...
  8. Same here, stuck to 3 attacks, when Knockout Blow came (Super Strength's strong punch ) I got that for 4 attacks.

At lvl 30, he has a travel and fitness (much needed) and has all the available defensive powers so far.

He rocks and is quite often last man standing

So, you're doing fine. Unyielding? A MUST, for the reasons given in earlier post
  9. I saw this comment is another posting.

Just thought I'd put out the word in case people here are finding it difficult!

I'd noticed that when lft in CoV, there are loads of blue names, loads of messages in the search box saying 'lft' and occasionally people use the search icons themselves.

So I took it upon myself to form teams, my search comment also states that i'm willing to form teams. I've found some awesome people to team with and we've banded together a lot recently.

The toon in particular now gets tells asking for invites and people comment that they have been 'lft' for ages or 'Crikey, this is a big team!'

Long story short, if you are 'lft' on Union City of Villains, look up McCabe. He's sitting at the Lvl 30 mark, but accepts LK's (within reason) and Malefactor's.

Leeches and PL'ers will get thrown from a great height, so don't even think about it

Here's to more villains starting a team!
  10. Nowt wrong with claws buddy and i7 gave the set a nice dust off.

My stalker is Claws/regen and he is one of a few that will stand and fight quite happily.

There is some myth against Claws, I don't think its true. I built a Claws/regen scrap on RV test, he happily took on 2 brutes.

And yes I know scraps and stalks are different blah blah blah, as the claws set goes, its just fine
  11. Skipping most of the OT stuff.

I have an NRG/NRG blaster and he does just fine against any AT, some better than others. It has a nice cross between range and melee.

With any build it comes with its own flaws, so keep that in mind, everyone dies at some point.

PvP in general, movement can make or break a fight.
    Know your toon.
Stock up on the insps you'll need.
Stamina and Tactics a must. Aid Self depends on you.

    Hope this is mildly useful...
  12. All well & good being a 'defensive tank' but if you LOOK like your doing nothing, I'd kick you too.

My tank has most of his defensive set but he has a healthy choice of attacks too.

I agree with the above, fighting helps draw the aggro to you, throw some taunts around and you'll help your team LOT more than just standing there.

With all the above ingested, feel free to look out for any Paragon Knights or contact me @War Borg (might be one word...) as I have alts at differing levels. I also don't mind exemplaring/sidekicking within reason.

    Good luck tanker
  13. All in good fun, The Paragon Knights may just be interested, I'll put it to the team.... oh and best grab a Raid tp too...
  14. Gotta be an un-teamed Empath primary surely?

But joking aside, I have an NRG/NRG blaster and does fine in PvP, put CM on him and he rocks, -fly me and I'll still be firing and meleeing everything i can (Aid Other is nice too ).

Ice/NRG is quite popular and gets very good in places like RV.

To be fair, I've seen all sorts of builds in PvP and it really does depend how you use them. I've seen spines/regen last forever and i've seen some dropped in seconds, sometimes its the same one!

Go with something your good with, and work in some PvP useful powers.
  15. Just a thought, but if you have your hero designed and they pretty much DO NOT have specail powers, they just train hard etc...

What travel do you choose, because each one is a power in itself.

Admittedly, you can write around it e.g. Bob has a tp device on his belt or antigrav boots/nano vest.

But typically speaking, there's no official travel power for them other than Sprint......

The jetpacks and so on, the temp powers in CoV could make this possible....

    MMs and PvP

    [ QUOTE ]
I've already had heroes whining that bodyguard mode needs to be nerfed, so it's all good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

omg, nerf the 'easy' AT, no, the BG mode really picks MM's up.

I hope that nerf bat wielding PvP'er thinks to their self.. 'maybe I need new tactics...'
  17. The Raid telepad is a separate kind of telepad ... for the base raids and is quite large. You can get tp rooms big enough to house more basic telepads in less rooms.

Currently having a BASIC tp suggests, I say suggests, more advanced tp's may arrive or were at least considered during concept.

I have 2 small tp rooms at present which cover all the hazard zone beacons so far.

I used the Faultline one by accident once and didn't know where I was because i had never delved that deep in that zone in the 2 times i'd been there before!
  18. You can tell from some of the posts and now from 'Uber Builds' floating around that there are a lot of people who really don't like losing; I mean REALLY don't like losing.

I'm okay in the old PvP, I win some, I lose some. I couldn't give a monkeys about uber builds, I personally, find it more satisfying that:

    1) I take my concept built PvE character into PvP and try my luck.
    2) I tweak said character to better suit PvP without being untrue to my original character design.
    3) I enjoy losing as much as winning.
    4) I like the challenge of being beaten and saying 'Right, new plan....' then winning with new tactics.
    5) I think its funny to solo my buffbot against 20 enemies get ganked and then mock that team of 20 uber-built gankers on their fine moment of triumph against the outstanding odds of my lvl 25 Empath.....

Seriously guys. Go out there and try your best. What's the worst that can happen..... losing? Oh. No.

When the right crowds are in there (they're quite a few currently) it can be just as funny to die as it is to win.

I was on my 'squishy' blaster the other day teamed with at least 2 Spines/regen (the FotM) and they died just as much as me. Uber build? Hmmmm....

    Have fun people!
  19. [ QUOTE ]
a large (more than 8) group of villains was base camping the heroes in Sirens. So we got a team together (only 6 of us). Buffed up, charged out, annhilated the villains. Who then accused us of ganking (this is the same people who'd been TPing any hero who stepped out of the hospital). Even though we were outnumbered.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aww man, this always cracks me up. Those people running on Broadcast after a tussle stating "I can so definately pwn you, you noob"
The reply? "i'm still standing here waiting for you to leave the base and pummel me "

    OR the classic,

"Dude, I would so pwn the living bejesus out of you if it wasn't for the fact you actually use your powerset....." You get the idea and I'm still lmao in PvP thx to big mouthed players
  20. The way I see it, and I'm new-ish to MM's and to Bodyguard mode.
You set all your henchies to Defensive/Follow. They will attack when someone or something attacks the MM itself.

So in theory with a Heavy as well it work this way.... (not tested, all theoretic)

Henchies in Body guard mode, separately attack with the heavy using the pet panel. Once it starts the aggro. Attack with the MM. If and when the turret start firing at the MM itself, your henchies should be 'defensive' enough to engage it. Click the attack on your heavy again to ensure it maintains the aggro.

Just a calculated guess, please pick fault if need be
  21. Thank you, it's glad to see this attitude accepted by a badgehunter himself.

I like my badges too, so all who come you come to PvP, whether you want to or not.
  22. Sorry to hear you won't be returning as there are many decent and polite players on both sides.

It's sad to think they'll go off saying they were 'pwning' stalkers, when it was 100 vs 1 gank fest.

If you know who are and are reading this, feel ashamed, it's not very talented and not particularly challenging to gank someone.

On an aside, I went toe to toe with a spines/regen (which are VERY popular right now!) and stood my ground for the most part with my stalker, it can be done I eventually lost, my endurance finally gave way before his then it was a sorry slope after that then we stood and chatted about play styles and then before parting ways we thanked each other for a good fight.
  23. Look around for Massatron as well, he's in my SG and needs the Spelunker to complete that Medallion!

    Cheers
  24. I've said it before I'll say it again.

If I'm in a PvP zone I WILL attack whoever I please when I please, I expect the same to come back at me.

No-one has the right to dictate what you do in a PvP zone. Ever.

A quote nearly as old as time but 'You enter a PvP zone at your own risk. You WILL be attacked by other players' This applies to everyone, including 'Badgehunters'

I'll get my badge when I have ACTUALLY got 1000 pillboxes, no rush, they're not going anywhere.
