This is great!
well the only problem I see with pvping as a stalker is that you will be ganking alot as a stalker. Depending on what your pwoersets are you may be getting alotta bitchin'

you don't have to gank or to be ganked if you do it right...its a bit harder with chars like tanks or scrappers now since the toggle drop nerf (normaly you could drop em..then imob then, stun them, juggle with em)..which is a bit harder now..but its still fairly easy to make solo kills:P
Good, glad to hear it. I too, like the stalker AT but there is still a considerable amount out there that [censored] about the AT purely for [censored] about the AT. Ignore them!
And you don't need to gank, you just have to play the stalker AT properly.
As an aside thought, I believe the stalker gets a lot of bad press because a lot of new players go straight for it because of the 'easy kill'. Nowadays, with the right playstyle, there aren't really any uber builds...

I'm going to sound like a fool here, but can someone explain ganking? I used to think it was ganging up one one person but I'm not sure...

It's true, I can quite easily two shot a spines/regen on my Stalker... err, I mean... no uber builds here!

Yeah, it's a bit like that. Basically ganking is a PvP phenomenon where a team of players all gang up on one or two players, usually out of nowhere with no chance of that player running or fighting back. People often do it because they feel "hard" and "tough", when in reality they're just picking on the defenseless and they often get very upset when the tables are turned.
Unfortunately it's quite common. I saw it happen in Bloody Bay last night - some villains were riling up and ganking a lone defender (who was a healer with very few offensive capabilities). They were saying how tough they were and how the defender was a coward for running and not fighting. Then a few more heroes came into the zone and started fighting back, pretty successfully I might add. The villains were then spamming broadcast with obscenities.
What build have you gone for?
I tried a spine regen stalker and hated it but fell in lobe with Claws SR
well we're villains, what do you expect? :P

I see, so how would that be viewed with a Stalker? I suppose if I killed somebody and then kept going specifically for them then it could be classed as the same thing due the the nature of the AT. But I always feel way guilty when I PvP, so I can't see me going to grief one person.
I also hate running away, but by that I mean myself. A lot of my alts are really good at it, but if I'm in PvP and I'm getting severely beaten by another player I won't run as the way I see it they've got me and earnt my kill. Maybe I'm just strange that way.

I have a Martial Arts/Super Reflexes Stalker. No hidden agenda there, I just though MA sounded cool and I love the second roundhouse attack (so watch me squeal in joy as I unlock the later ones ). I took SR because I once fought a */SR Scrapper in PvP and couldn't hit them for anything and liked the idea of me being able to do that too.
I have a SR stalker and love it like a big fluffy sock filled with kittens.
Nothing finer than firing AS on a placated foe and seeing "DODGED" come up as his mate tries to hit you to break the animation.
Good luck to you!
I've been playing almost every other AT under the sun (save the Epics, still chugging my way there) and now I've just rolled a successful Stalker and I have to say I'm loving it.
At first when I tried playing this AT I hated it:- Hide, hit something for 4/5 health and then get pummelled by everything else around me.... But I've just made Scintilla and I have to say she rocks!
I'm still only level six, but when I play her I get that racey feeling I felt when I was completely new to the game. She's not perfect to one-shot most things yet, and she does miss a lot but I have yet to let that get to me.
It's sort of funny really as personally I find Scrappers inanely boring to play, but I'm really starting to get the grips with this AT.
Also I think at some point I might want to venture into a PVP zone ( ) as normally I'm so unbelievably rubbish to the point of where I run to the enemy and just stand there! So bear with me whilst I learn the ropes, and sorry to say you'll have yet annother Stalker to watch out for
Horray for Stalking!!
