Hi im starting wonder why there are more Heroes then Villains ?? its not very fun PvP'ing if there isnt anybody to PvP with
[/ QUOTE ]
Which server are you on? On Union WB and Siren's Call have more than one team of heroes and villains in frequently and RV is just starting to get busy with a PvP night being organised for Thursday Nights. I have to admit there are more people on heroes than villains though. I think its because heroes came out first and prefer being good.
[/ QUOTE ]
And in RV the Hero Epic powers being much better than the villain patron powers also comes into it I'd imagine.
[/ QUOTE ]
Heroes are stronger than villains and nobody likes being pwnd all the time hence there are more heroes than villains. QED -

Nah... I just got Sands of Mu. Any yes, I know I can't slot it.

Love Shadow Maul so much I've got both :P
lvl 6 to 20 were simple -

So far I have avoided the fitness pool on all but one of my stlalkers. I found that unless I was in a protracted pvp battle I had few endurance issues.
Personaly AS is one of the powers I would consider holding off on getting its nice but often there are powers that are quicker anc can cause a lot of damage too (dark melee is a good one for that).
There is still a lot of room for individual builds on stalkers, its only if you go for common pvp builds that you tend to run out of room :P
[/ QUOTE ]
Dark melee is one of the most stamina hungry sets, to try and level without AS or stamina is going to be painful. -

Well you're all exemped/SK'd to the same level, so no, you shouldn't feel any remorse!

They works in theory.. however in practice you have to figure in SOs and slotting and that makes a big difference.
I've tried PvPing and find it irritating and frustrating so tend to stay well clear. Also the changes to both the hospital and now the removal of call contact has pretty much lead me to boycot PvP zones for anything other than Shivans and Nukes.
I hate the fact that you 'have' to team to do PvP, I hate being ganked and I hate the fact that heroes are stronger.
There is a lot wrong with PvP and the attitude of other players is only a tiny part IMHO. You can't blame a stalker for stabbing you in the back when thats what he is designed to do, no stalker with a brian is going to drop hide and go to to toe with a scrapper who does more damage, has more hitpoints and has better Epics... -
Don't try and play a stalker without stamina!!!!
-
In paper missions stalkers can also run past anything that looks too hard.

I've just recently started one - got addicted to the idea of striking from the shadows again.
So far, I'm loving it - it is completely different from playing a scrapper and, now that I've just got placate, I'm loving the sheer gumption of the whole set. Drop one, fight the next, wave hand in final opponents face, before dropping them again.
Haven't felt this evil since shooting someone in the back of the head with a gun during Issue 7 test.

That perfectly describes the stalker mindset
BTW It gets better as you get higher.. stalkers are late bloomers
BTW.. If you are having trouble levelling find a friendly Dom.. they love the damage you love the hold/crits. A perfect symbiotic relationship. -

plain and simple reason for me
VERY easy to lvl VERY fast in PvE to 50 via paper missions, going to end, gank boss/room/glowie rinse.repeat.
only reason to own one imo :P

Also best AT to get Nukes in Warburg -
Have 3 stalkers Claws/SR - lvl 40, Spines/SR lvl 34 and DM/Regen lvl 23.
I love the sneakiness of them and as mentioned before the whole seat of the pants style of playing. The are actually my favourite AT. You do need to understand that STALKERS ARE NOT SCRAPPERS. They require a different mindset, and different tactics. -

She's slower to level than my blasters. Shame really.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is surprising.. I find stalker level quite quickly as you can do missions without having to rest much at lower levels due to the AS quick kill abiity and not having the massive dependancyy on stamina that brutes and corrupters have. -
I'm currently working on a DM/Regen Stalker and am rather enjoying it. DM gives a nice attack debuff with every hit and regen does the repair work when a hit does get through.
-
It's actually for my new EM/Elec Brute Im thinking about, end doesn't really matter once you get towards the top of the Electric Armour pool
-
Is it worth taking the Leadership Pool as a Brute..
I am toying with the idea of getting Assault and Tactics, anybody had any experience of running these in a brutish AT? -
Is this the episode where Eat Electric Death crashes for no reason and has to sit around watching all the files verify before he can log in again???
-
Gratz on the Ding - was teamed with you at the time.. Kitty followed a scant few hours later
-
Defiantely take Air Support and Touch of Fear. Thing to remember about DM/DM - End Redux is your best friend. I'd also suggest picking up Oppressive Gloom when you get the chance.
I personally didn't get Midnight Grasp.. for DM/DA you end up running out of endurance in the space of a single scrap.
Tried it, didn't like it, respecced out of it. -

Have you really spent any time actually PvPing?
Perhaps you had a few bad experiences, we have taken many Villain teams out and wiped the zones, pushing them all the way from our base to theirs.
it can be done, and is done ALL the time, its a team game, build a team, work together and you will beat them.
I do realise that the Villain ATs are more complex in as much as there is more room for error, the Heroic ATs are much more defined imo, and yes PPPs are no where near as powerfull, but villains are by no means useless. If were talking Sirens Call, the average hero team can be undone fairly quickly if a villain team works together, it does seem that villains have more of a "solo" mentality when it comes to PvP.
[/ QUOTE ]
Funny - I've tried PvP with Brutes, Stalkers and Corrupters and the only time I ever have any fun is when the villains out number the heroes and actually have a chance or when it's 1 on 1.
Equally matched the Heroes win 9 times out of 10. -
Until villains can hold there own against hero's there is never going to be a fair balance of heroes and villains in PvP.
Who wants to log on and spend the evening face planting and waitng for your rest to recharge in the hospital. -

PvP sucks for villains tbh.
[/ QUOTE ]
Please explain why.
[/ QUOTE ]
Scrappers have highest damage modifier in the game
Controller and Defenders have highest buffs and debuffs in the game (empath heal makes a team almost unbeatable)
Every hero group now has tactics so stalkers are pretty much made redundant
PPP are appalling when compared to hero epics
Blasters can do more melee damage than Brutes and are capable of 1 shotting stalkers -
Yep.. although SR is great in PvE because of the inherent advantages that the heroes get in PvP it's pretty much gimped and useless.
My SR stalkers can run around in PvE sticking two figures up to anything then ASing them into oblivion but in PvP she gets hit by just about everything.
PvP sucks for villains tbh. -
/SR gives you more chance to get off crits and Assassin strikes as you get hit A LOT less often and /SR also gives you quickness which give + Recharge.

I like this thread already.

Me too
PvP is not ballanced in the slightest.
