    Looking for a SG

You would probably best be served posting this in the Virtue server forum.
  2. I liked the part where UnicyclePeon admitted to getting naked while playing videogames. I think that's something we can all get behind.

    Lore for tankers

Just a quick thought on the Fortitude buff given by the Seers. It appears that as of right now it only give typed defense bonus, and not positional defense bonus. No idea if this is WAI, but I was highly disappointed on my Fire/Fire Tank.
  4. I haven't been this excited for something in April since I was told the story of zombie Jesus as a child.
  5. On higher population servers I doubt it will be an issue. On lower population servers you will have to do what is done now for some of the taskforces that aren't run regularly. Schedule them on the forums or with your Supergroup/group of friends.

Then, when the new carrot is placed on the stick everyone will want to get their characters ready and prepared for the new shinies and we'll get hit with an influx of people wanting to do the old stuff.
  6. Hello,

My name is @Tubby and some of you may or may not remember me as @Kid about 2 years ago. Used to be the PvPEC rep for Guardian before leaving the game due to a nasty bout of lung cancer. Found some free time about two months ago and decided to resub to the game, and accidentally resubbed the wrong account, so now I'm @Tubby for good.

I was a sad panda because Noire apparently forgot who I was. Although it was nice to talk/play with people I hadn't seen for a very long time. Between work, school, kid, and wife I play about 3-6 hours a week and I've been having a hell of a fun time.

I'm usually on my tank, Pixie en Fuego or on my Brute, Chainsaw on Fire. If you ever need anything, feel free to ask.
  7. Something else to consider would be picking up Maneuvers instead of Hasten to allow greater flexibility with slotting options. Especially with Siphon Life. That power slotted up for max heal, max recharge, high accuracy, high damage, and high end redux is amazing. Getting a 400-500 point heal every 4-5 seconds is amazing when it comes to survivability.
  8. The end cost difference between both builds is 0.07 per second. Pretty much completely negligible. The loss of 1.8 total max endurance won't be noticed either. Not only that, but Findulias's build has the attacks slotted for better end management so you will find that the build will use less than you used to. When slotting always remember that attacks > toggles for end reduction.
  9. So, I've been tinkering with my Claws/Fire and I've been thinking about dropping Follow Up. Normally this would be considered blasphemy on a Scrapper, but with Fury that power pick could be spent elsewhere and the 30% damage increase doesn't seem to be that much. Even when I have it double stacked for 60% damage it's nice, but I just don't know...

    Any thoughts?
  10. Changed some things around to allow for higher recovery to offset the cost of adding Weave to the mix. Unless you are planning on adding the Glad Armor +3% IO then that seems to be the easiest to get you to the cap on all three positionals. You lose Static Discharge, so you may not like that. You could easily swap out Repulsing Torrent for Weave and keep in Static Discharge. I increased overall recharge and regen as well, although you lost a slight amount of +HP. At least it's something to think about.

  12. Post it and lets see what you've come up with. Let us know specifics, such as how much you are wanting to spend on the build, powers you enjoy, powers you don't enjoy, and what sort of concept you are trying for. We can help you out with more specific information given by you.

    @Dacc

Ghosts sit around the campfire and tell stories about @Dacc.
  14. My advice would be threefold:

1.) Have two separate builds. One for agricultural engineering and one for normal PvE play. Trying to do both will leave you with a build that isn't optimized for either.

2.) Don't try to just cram in a bunch of S/L defense unless you plan on hitting the softcap. Even then, make sure you aren't making sacrifices to your build. Brutes are massive damage dealers, and your attacks aren't slotted nearly well enough to do what you should be doing. Try to aim for about 32.5% S/L defense so that one small purple inspiration will softcap you in most PvE situations. Trying to get your E/NE defense up to around that level would be nice as well, but it is incredibly difficult for Fiery Aura due to no native defenses. 20% E/NE defense would be a good number to hit as well. Two small purples will get you to the softcap, and inspirations fall from the sky nowadays.

3.) If you really want to be an agricultural engineer with this character, then go for it. However, Battle Axe is not a well known damage dealing primary. You stated it's for concept reasons, so I am inclined to believe this character would be better suited for PvE gameplay over sowing the soil. However, as I said, this is your character and you gotta do what you enjoy.

I rolled up a Claws/Fire thinking it would hit similar numbers as the SS/FA Brutes in this thread, and it isn't even close. I stripped it down and turned it into a regular PvE build, so I guess all you have is my word, which probably isn't worth much. I was greatly disappointed.

You could've just as easily posted a super-cool one liner, or meme, but your willingness to take the path less travelled is commendable.
  17. Quick build of something possible. Kept out most team powers as you specified this would be your solo build. The build maintains survivability by capping defense to S/L and Energy and one small purple inspiration away from softcapping to Negative Energy damage. Maintains 64.75% damage boost while solo (30% damage buff with no teammates). Hasten is permanent with no Incarnate abilities. Endurance consumption may be an issue, but that could be rectified by slotting the Cardiac incarnate. You could easily slot slightly differently to allow for less recharge if you plan on slotting the Spiritual incarnate ability, so it's up to you. You can seamlessly chain Power Bolt ---> Power Blast ---> Power Burst together for single targets and you still have respectable AoE as well. Enjoy.

Everytime I see this sort of idea posted on the forums I get a bit squeamish. A good team leader would always love to build the best and most survivable team, but that will not always happen. You will have to play with what is available unless you want to sit around and wait for the best available. I know that since inherent fitness hit the live servers people have been picking up Leadership, but I don't see the vast defense buffs while playing normal content that people keep talking about. Being survivable while solo should still be an idea to pack into a build as you can't always rely on your teammates, especially in pickup groups.

  21. Yeah, after reading this thread I decided to start leveling up a KM/Dark Brute. Like I needed another freakin' project. Thanks Dechs. /em angryface
  22. Couple of changes to the build to allow for better end management and slotting of key powers. The idea of having Vengeance in the build is definitely intriguing, but the group I routinely play with have a habit of never dying. Of course, that's usually because we are trying for "Master of" runs, so for now I'm gonna leave it out. I will more than likely have it in my Agricultural Engineering build for the added layer of protection.

As always, I am open to suggestions:

Slightly more global recharge, end management, KB protection is now at 12 points instead of 4 originally, Kismet slotted due to no native +To Hit outside of Follow-Up, and Burn is now 5 slotted compared to the original 3 slots. Definitely an improvement in my eyes.

  23. Well, my new favorite project is striding close to 50, and I have a build worked up that I believe will be rather survivable while allowing a seamless attack chain of Strike--->Slash---Focus with Follow-Up thrown in as it recharges. I would appreciate any feedback as I am unsure how well the build will hold up. It is one small purple inspiration from softcapping to both S/L and E/N. Any thoughts or ways the build could be improved?
