Infamy Charging Farmers

What is going on here. You go into atlas park and its just a bombardment of spammers, 10mill per run AE farms. Players have gotten so bold as to broadcast web address's for purchasing infamy. This is insanity, why do the GM's do nothing to get this under control. I expect there to be a certian amount of this in the game of course. But to so boldly broadcast things like this in atlas is nuts. Those of you that approve of such actions, take it into a private room so the rest of us dont have to deal with this nonsense. I have sent several petitions to the GM about such issues, and will continue to do so.

isnt any worse then the usual spam that goes throughout atlas.i know everyone likes the dissagreements and name calling.but yeah theres gotta be something else in that chatter

and it would be easier if you took yourself into a private chat ..its called broadcast for a reason

Just be thankful the devs implemented the ability to run teams at x8 difficulty. Before that the spammers were incessantly haranguing everyone to pad for them.

It used to be so bad that the message I put in team search said "No padding!" I still got flooded by obnoxious "can u pad 4 me?" messages. One time I asked the guy why he was bugging me even though my message said I wouldn't pad. His response: "i dont have tim 2 read that!!!!"

Yet somehow he had the time to waste sending tells to people who won't pad for him...

Meet me in Virtue Pocket D and we'll discuss this over drinks and roofies.

Yeah this is what I do whenever in those zones for any length of time. But I can see it afffected you a great deal since you brought it to the forums after not posting for 4 years. Believe me it use to be a lot worse.

I have no issues with people offering a service and charging for it in in game currency.

After I run the sewers in Atlas, I never go back.

I dunno. I like to go through AP with the Walk command, reminisce about how big the zone felt when I first started, heal lowbies working on their "arrest five Hellions" missions, etc. You learn to filter it, I guess. Or you get numb to it. Same effect, different journey.

I've done that before, sans the healing.

For long extended walk sessions while I'm doing something else, I prefer PI or Talos. Hmm, can you swim using walk?

I think you just swim at walk speeds, but I don't recall the exact mechanics. Easiest place to test is Ouro I guess. Drop Ouro, you have a water patch right in front of you when you step off the pad.

Walking in AP is fun. People start walking with you and local-chatting, just cuz. I once had a chain of four random lowbies follow, and we chatted about everything: Leveling, powersets, game social avenues, etc. When a group of mobs would appear next to us, Dr. Turg's "Gale" took care of 'em rather easily. That always get the laughs.

Yes isn't it terrible when a person goes on and on about a single subject in a public location with a message that doesn't apply to everyone.

Shameless.
