And we have a new Lois Lane
From Smallville guest star to Lois Lane - she's come a long way. Good choice for the part; I'm looking forward to seeing what she brings to the role.

I'll take anyone over Margot Kidder. Watching Superman on TV the other night, I was struck by just how unattractive she was. The hard-boiled reporter she had down pat. The romantic lead, not so much. She looked like someone's grandma.

I'm not familiar with Amy Adams, but from that pic of her in the article my immediate aesthetic concern is that I hope they dye her hair for the part.

She can flat out act when given the chance. She tends to due the overly bubbly character as her best, but she's got range. Even if I didn't like the movie overall, she was amazing in Junebug, which she was nominated for best supporting actress, but didn't win.
The bright side is that given the folks in charge of the reboot, they could cast almost anyone and id be interested in seeing it. So Adams could work out, but ill reserve judgement until i see some trailers and hope they arent influenced at all by Millar's movie concept.
I'll wait and see.

She looks cute, but I also am hoping they'll have her dye her hair.
I don't care that she's older than Clark, but if they are planning on doing a series, I hope she doesn't start showing her age after the first film or two.

The cast looks decent. Now if only we can get them to replace Snyder with someone like Pierre Morel. That guy can do action flicks.

You haven't seen any of the films she's been in? She can pretty much play any part -- bubbly ditz to intelligent minx.

I was hoping for Rachel McAdams but this will do.
I've yet to see Amy Adams in a more aggressive or ambitious type of role, though.

Just saw her recently in The Fighter and she, along with pretty much everyone else, was excellent.
From what I understand, that role was somewhat against type and she was thrilled to get a chance to show that she's not just bubbly/nice and such.
She was coarse, grumpy and anything but bubbly.
And... are people really worried about the hair color? I mean, as though they wouldn't dye her hair/give her the right colored wig, hehe?
Most of the news from this project is sounding good.

Still more worried that Zack "Slow Mo fetish" Snyder is directing it.
It just doesn't bode well.
I'm looking forward to seeing Amy Adams as Lois Lane. She's a beautiful woman and a darn good actress, IMHO.
Looks like Amy Adams got the nod. I like this pick, but I've started my stopwatch to see how long it is before somebody starts wanking about Lois being almost ten years older than Clark.

I love Amy Adams. I think she will do a much better job as Louis Lane than any of the previous actresses cast in the role.

Oh, OK, now I remember posts about that. I guess I must have considered him forgettable since I'd never heard of him.
Just a matter of wait and see I suppose.
Adams looks like a decent choice, and I'm pretty sure it's logical that Lane would be older than Kent anyway since she already had a name as a reporter when he shows up.

Having just watched Amy Adams in The Fighter last night, I've changed my stance from "this is acceptable" to "she'll do great."
