  1. This is cool. I'll have to transfer to Virtue, but that's no big deal.

From Statistical Mechanic to Datapimp, this statistician continues to do it with random deviates.
  2. I too have jumped to TSW; I'm hooked after the first night of the free trial. Currently only the one character:

Charles "Datapimp" Merchant of the Dragon

"Statisticians (and Dragons) do it with random deviates."
  3. That would be the end of the world, or at least my free time. :-)
  4. @Axeus; Shane Cogan in RL. Axeus, Sting Thing and others on Pinnacle.

It was my opinion that Sting Thing ought to win every costume contest ever, retro- and pro-actively. :-)
  5. Two standout moments for me:

Three perfect pulls of the STF lieutenants using Shuriken on my scrapper.
Tanking a successful MoBarracuda with my PB.

    VIP Status

I am but one datapoint, but I did not lose VIP status.

So very very true. Back in the S/HO only days, I had 12 Centrioles slotted on my Claws/SR/Weapons scrapper. I'd kill entire spawns without being in melee range.

    But I am concerned.

Without regular floor level inspection, we will be faced with a "rise of the dustbunnies" of epic proportions.
I sense a new invasion event.
  9. Yay! <flailing Muppet arms>
  10. Another data point, after having check my account history: I appear to get my VIP PPs the first Wednesday after my bill date. This is consistent over the past three months.

To the OP: you're talking to other players here, and frankly I haven't seen any checks from you ever.

Also, you were getting support for the time that you were paying. You stopped paying, they stopped supporting.

Dark Armor is already paying the price you mention.
I meant having a 0% resistance to a damage type, e.g. Electric Armour vs Toxic. Dark as it currently stand has no holes, only a thin patch. What are you willing to give up for capped resist to Neg Energy?
  13. I hesitate to ask for capped Neg resist for DA to bring in in line with the other elemental armours because most likely we'll have to pay the price they do: a huge gapping hole against something else. I like the fact that I have at least some resistance to any of the typed damages. I'd go for changing the psi/neg balance however, as long as it doesn't drive the psi resist to low.

As for game play with DA, I solo a lot and in the lowbie days I adopted a very lazy style of setting Brawl on autofire against the LT/Boss, and letting Oppressive Gloom and Death Shroud take care of the minions. You can go through a surprising amount of content that way.

  15. This is an awesome idea. GC is my starting zone of choice and it will be dearly missed. You may rely on my support.

    Internet speeds?

I sometimes play at work with just a regular T1 line (1.44 Mbps). No problems even during a ship raid.
  17. At lowest settings, CoX is quite smooth on my first generation i5, and playable during a Rikti mothership raid so I'd say there won't be a problem.

It has _nothing_ to do with the bitness of the OS, and everything with how the variable is defined in the programming. I've seen quad-precision variables (128 bits) on 32-bit hardware/OS combinations.
  19. Stats monitor. Powers - Combat Abilities - open up the categories to see what's there - right click to add to the monitor. You can have up to 10 items in the monitor.

Sad that the game has moved to this...
First, welcome back. You seem to be but one of many returning players, and that is a good thing.

Second, _nothing_ has been taken away in the year you have been gone. Go do what you used to do before the incarnate system.

Thrid, Pinnacle is my home server, and at the times I log on is usually the fourth or fifth most heavily loaded. Join the PinnBadges channel to get in on the action.
  21. Ping and packet loss have become problmatic for a lot of us on the old "North American" servers as well.

Oh, for the good old days when Pinnacle was less than 10 miles from me.
