i saw an Angel Furry on Champion the other day. Funny thing is she had no animal features at all.
So far i've seen some "uptightness" expressed, but the only real hypocrisy has been from the OP.
Personally i'm fine with MRP, but prefer to keep my ERP RL. IMO it's much more fun that way.
Still, i don't care what two consenting adults do out of my line if sight, or even in it most times, as long as they don't assume i'll play along. -

Ah! A Rikti Monkey!

Love, Fusionette"
You mean that message? -
Quote:coldmed is special, but very honest. He carefully selected his name to reflect his most obvious characteristics. However, i would like to point out that there are coldmeds with non-drowsy formulas, and not everyone ingests at least twice the maximum dosage as a matter of course.I see. We're all stupid or deluded, but you're the font of wisdom?
It's funny to contrast coldmed's posts, as a presumably native English writer, with those of Samuel Tow, who writes English as a second language. Samuel's posts are well-written, both in terms of literacy and clarity of ideas. coldmed, at best, tends to be incoherent in his posting of exaggerations, opinions stated as facts and provably incorrect "facts".
(Not trying to drag Sam into this, it's just that he comes most readily to mind as someone who is not a native speaker of English who still communicates very effectively in English.)
As far as publicity and marketing and dev communication goes: States was prone to posting whatever came into his mind and making promises that required extremely contorted logic to accept when they didn't turn out to be vapor. This also irrelevant to what information is released by marketing, especially on the Going Rogue site, which does not appear to have been updated since shortly after it was put up. Honestly it seems that there's been very little marketing activity since the Architect Edition campaign; both within the playerbase community, and among gamers in general. i hope this changes soon. Even adding a short video clip of the Hero Con Dual Pistols demo to the GR site would be nice as a bare minimum. -
Quote:Title of thread: The solo leveling limit conjectureFWIW
Edit: Assuming a team of 8 of these and getting the 2.5x large team bonus that would be 1-50 in 6.5 hours
Edit: While i find many of your comments interesting you seem to keep missing the explicitly stated point of the challenge and dwelling on conditions that are mostly irrelevant to it. -
Energy Aura? i haven't paid much attention to it for a while, but it finally got buffed? Nice. It used to rank near the bottom for Stalker secondaries.
Edit: Or was that Brutes only? -
It's also a 60' sphere. Tactics from a Defender grants a 12.5% tohit bonus before enhancing, so a Defender can cancel out most of Group Fly's penalty with fully-slotted Tactics.

Having it is even better than saying it.
And a warm welcome to Dangioffre. Like others have posted, Freedom and Virtue are the two most populous servers. Which one to play on is a matter of taste. The PvP vs. RP thing is only really significant if either one is a focus of your play time. Creating alts on both servers and trying them out is a good way to decide.
i'd also suggest getting the hang of the global chat (Paragon Wiki link) system. The global chat function works between all servers. With various global server channels set up in chat tabs it's easier to find out when events you'd like to join are happening on any given server.
(Edit: 6k posts. i guess that's a good time to catch up on my sleep.) -
Quote:So that's a statement of support for his political blog? (And not every political statement takes that route in response to a question. More often it's those who don't know enough about the topic to say anything relevant, or the topic is embarrassing to them.)Formulaic political response actually:
Restate question. Declaration of inflated personal ability.
Disregard all issues.
Tenuous link to question. State latest agenda. Optional "I'm one of you." localism.
Back on topic. Earthquake's -def is flagged unresistable, does that include AV resistances?
Back to topic.
As i recall unresistable debuffs are affected by the purple patch/rank scaling, but not the AV's own resistances. -

Quote:If they just keep giving me respecs, costume tokens and the occasional additional salvage and recipe slots i won't complain. From the looks of it, vet rewards are gonna be on a kind of weird bell curve. They want to reward long-time players, but not to the point of putting them significantly ahead of newer ones, so the newly introduced rewards are probably going to be less fancy than the ones before.

Quote:Aaaand unless you know about the emote already you won't even know you have access to it after completing the TF.I've suggested a long time ago the Lobbyist / Crooked Politician Exploration Badge located on a Casino in Bloody Bay.
Spanky Rabinowitz' cousin Charlie 'Big Buck' Rabinowitz owned Big Bucks Casino. It is said much of Spanky's campaign money came from the take here.
Then you can unhook that emote from the Hess TF since it doesn't make one lick of in-game sense for that Easter Egg to be there.
How about Burkholder's Bane unlocks the Giant Robot Claw costume piece?(You too can have a big metal claw for a hand, just like Burkholder!)
When i think about it, villains really deserve some unlockable costume pieces of their own. -

Well, it's more accurate to say the Dev in question stayed with Cryptic to work on the Marvel MMO, and when that was canceled Cryptic purchased the rights Hero Games' Champions and redid the Marvel game with the Champions characters and storylines. i'd hesitate to say Cryptic used the Hero System/Champions mechanics despite the AT/Class-less system since in most of the details it bears little resemblance to the actual Hero System and reminds me more of the original Marvel Superheros pen and paper RPG in that you acquire complete powers and later add advantages to them. The Hero System is considerably more free-form and granular in power design.

Quote:Still not the same as the negative energy lighting oil slicks, but it does make the combo more workable. Also, by that standard you could be using Ice Blast to light Oil Slick by slotting the proc into its AoE's.Procs. You'd be surprised how often the "chance of energy" damage hits and lights 'er up if you have it in TT. I have it in TT and NightFall on mine and just shoot in the vicinity of the Oil slick. I do have the origin power for backup when they don't work after a couple shots though.
Still, i'd rather make sure i had an origin power as backup than counting on a proc to work every time i need the slick lit. Faster cycle time and all that. -
Quote:So you're saying all three secondaries are superior to Sonic in terms of damage? Interesting.Im soo going to get Flak for this..but...theres 3 builds that come to mind when it comes to outright damage and survivability for a Defender....(In my eyes atleast)
Traps/Elec #1
Traps/Dark #2 (Wicked fun)
Rad/Rad #3
This is my personal opinion with exp added playing these builds. -
Passionate rhetoric combined with incoherence and irrelevance. i like it. Have you considered taking up political blogging?

Condensed reply: Most robotic units have high levels of protection to the fear effect of both powers, but all the other power components affect them normally. Fearsome Stare's -tohit component is still very effective, and Terrify's psionic damage still hurts them, though most robots also have fairly high psionic resistances.

Yeah, once you hit the hard cap set by the game it doesn't matter whether your slotting is near the ED cap, additional enhancements have no effect.
For traveling the Shadow Shard Teleport with 2 range and Hover is pretty much unbeatable. Of course by the time i'm running Shard content my endurance outside of combat is nearly unlimited for most purposes, so Teleport doesn't need much more than the 2 range. Slotting it with a set like BotZ or WG still has appeal though, and it's very fast either way. -
Quote:This. We're not denying it. We're just saying that it's not 'gold farmers'. Do you even know what a gold farmer is?
i'm also one of those who will either let salvage bids sit at the price i'm willing to pay for a week or just go run a few AE arcs if i want the piece right away for my own use. -
If it was 6 levels higher i might be interested. Beyond a few of the special/proc pieces i usually don't even bother selling or crafting set recipes below level 30, i just sell them at the first store/quartermaster i encounter.
...
Took a quick look at the market blueside, and it looks like someone's been targeting that recipe in the 23-26 range. They all show recent sales at about 25k to 50k inf, while recipes immediately above and below that range seem to go for around 12k or so. (Some for as little as 10 inf.) Odd. Nothing comes to mind offhand to make that range especially desirable -
As i recall, at the time of Hero Con the Devs were still trying to work that out and everything i've seen since indicates that no one else knows yet. Even if you're hoping for a Dev response i'd guess that it's unlikely to happen until mid-week at the earliest, and i have a hunch that the most likely answer is that it's still not determined yet.
