So, as I'm making plans for which of my characters I want to be rogue, vigiliante, hero, and villain, I find myself running into little issues where information is not terribly clear.

Firstus, Will supergroups be expanded so that members that go around the alignment curve remain in the super group?

For example, my chaotic good-type archery blaster fits very well into the 'Vigilante' picture painted by various Paragon Sources. Will she be able to stay in her supergroup?

Her sister, My fire-fire scrapper, was originally a fire/thermal corruptor before I hard-rerolled her. She's very much the "Rogue" type and is only in the United States in order to pull off part of what she imagines to be a grande scheme. However, to get her back around to the 'Rogue' status, which fits her so well, I have to have to have her fall and become vigilante, become villainous, and then become rogue.

During that cycle, will she be severed from her existing heroic supergroup? If she wins salvage, rewards, and prestige, will those spoils be available to her heroic fellows?

Secondus, what's going to happen to the rules about bases being faction only? If you try to hit a base during a coop taskforce, you get booted from the TF.

Lastly, and probably what most people will consider most importantly, we know that trading inspirations between heroes and villains are coming soon.Does this imply that other kinds of intra-base trading is in the works, such as a villain dropping off enhancements in a base and then having a hero agent sell them for him at wentworths?

Currently unknown in answer to all of these but certainly questions I will be asking during the beta.

I would hope that bases would simply become neutral since it's not possible for heroes to enter villain zones an vice-versa and the only condition will be what your alignment is for use of telepads. We shall see.

I hadn't considered the teleporter eventualities. In the case that a super group can accomdate members who want to travel to the rogue islands, it seems much more likely that mah teleporter bay will be expanding.

As i recall, at the time of Hero Con the Devs were still trying to work that out and everything i've seen since indicates that no one else knows yet. Even if you're hoping for a Dev response i'd guess that it's unlikely to happen until mid-week at the earliest, and i have a hunch that the most likely answer is that it's still not determined yet.

... Why would you think supergroup membership would be maintained past a certain point?

We know there's still going to be separation between the sides (the markets aren't being merged, for instance.) I'd be *extremely* surprised (and TBH a bit disappointed) if it wasn't some sort of auto-drop for non-Praetorian SGs. Alternately, a cross-faction "coalition" so that you're automatically put in to some other group might be arranged... somehow.

I would Imagine a simple solution would be that if you go all the way in one direction, you'd get dropped, but until then, or if you stay in the middle, you'd stay with your group. That'd make sense functionally and RP-wise once you go full hero, you'd be stuck in paragon, would have functionally betrayed your friends, and rarely be able to play with your VG, barring co-op zones it'd be pretty useless to stay in a VG you could'nt really play with. But if you're a hero and go vigilante, you're still mostly a hero, you shop in paragon, get most of your missions in paragon, you pretty much only visit the Rogue isles, and even then, only to stop evil. It would make sense for your SG to still keep you, and just not like how you do things, and frequently give you crap about it. Examples being Wolverine, Batman, Manticore, Lady Liberty's Longbow, and Justice League Unlimited's Question.

It seems to me there must be some sort of flag on our characters because many many months ago I remember dying while on a co-op team and getting the option to res in the other factions base. (My character wasn't in an SG) Lo and behold I found my villain running around the hero base. I couldn't resist the urge and I tried to use their teleporters to get into the hero zones. I tried every teleporter they had to no avail. I kept getting told I didn't have access to those zones.

So after having that happen I don't see why they can't let base builders have access to items from both factions. There would just be porters heros can use and others Villains can use.

What I think their biggest concern is people abusing SG storage bins to move items easily between factions in bulk.

Yes, but You'd get in the base, and only some of you could get into the same zone at a time
Say
HEro X And Villain X are in the same group

Hero X and Villain X team and Hero X is leader, so they have a mission in Atlas Park
Hero X Uses Atlas Park Porter
Villain X stands infront of porter like a sad puppy.

Here's what I think...

When GR comes out, supergroups will become neutral. You can have one that leans toward "hero" or "villain", but for the most part they'll be just a group of players.

That is the easiest way to do it, IMO. Leave the policing to the SG Leaders.

As for portal useage, perhaps something similar to this idea could be used.

A player can access those zones as long as they're teamed, after which they're teleported to their proper region.

If there is the possibility of making a character a 'Spy' (NOT a Spy AT) as in they are still, say, actually a Hero, but 'Go Rogue' to Villain side...effectively still being a Hero but in disguise...
Then auto-dropping seems like a very poor way of doing things. I generally dislike anything automatic that can end up with bad results. Prompts at the very least let you avoid stupid mistakes.
