I think I'd rather use Resuscitate. Bigger chunk of HP at once. Especially if you can find a HP-capped tank that likes debt badges. Using both together would work even better.

Some of the resist-based melee sets which can't quite hit the resist cap on their own, can do so with sets.

No other cap that I can think of can be reached with your own powers and set bonuses only.

    Custom Logo

Also, only YOU would see the custom logo, everyone else would see the one you replaced. And if you ran into anyone using the image you replaced, you would see your custom logo on them.

    EDIT: Damn you, Sun Gryphon!

Find the "Forum Trolls Beware" thread in City Life for redname posts.

Short version: Mods are fed up with trolls. Comments no longer can be viewed.

    Capes?

Shoulder capes as a vet reward.
High-collar capes from the Magic Booster.
    Arachnos capes on Soldiers.

One or two others that I'm missing.

Edit: Valkyrie capes from the Mac Edition! That's the one I was trying to remember!

Furthermore, the devs have said at various times that there is and is not a relationship between the two. I have no idea if this one is on flip or flop at the moment, and I doubt they do either.
So, when I said that the two had nothing to do with each other, you felt the need to correct me and tell me they had nothing to do with each other... why?

It is a 35-40 hero arc, actually. I am not aware of any villain arcs by that name.
Yeah, I screwed up here. No idea what I was thinking, obviously some wires got crossed somewhere.

    So this isn't exactly "news".
The devs have explicitly stated that the Nictus Romulus Agustus, and the Warshade Romulus are NOT the same person.

EDIT: Also, "The Path Into Darkness" is a Villain arc, therefore, it could NOT have been in the game when it went live.

    Zoom question

It is NOT a result of ANY settings in CoH. I have the same issue: My scroll wheel is really slow, if it has any effect at all, for zooming the camera, but scrolls at a reasonable speed in chat windows, and in any other program. However, before my old mouse broke, the scroll wheel worked fine for everything, including zooming the camera. Also, when I plug in my backup mouse, it ALSO works fine in all parts of the game. Both my old mouse and my backup mouse are Logitech. My new mouse is a Microsoft mouse. I suspect that the culprit is something in the mouse drivers, or the program which controls the dynamic mouse functions.

Whatever the source of the problem is, adjusting settings in the game will NOT fix it.

The hard part here is that different groups have different spawn rules. I have been running a lot of preatorian missions recent, and team size 3 gets me bosses about every 3rd group. Team size 4-5 doesn't boost that rate much

Lost/Rikti will spawn bosses, with a teamsize of 2.
Council will rarely spawn bosses even at a team size of 6.

I have no experience with the new slider and igneous speciifcally, so try 3 and see whats happens.
Actually, you should set your difficulty to NO bosses.

The bosses will still spawn, but will be scaled down to Lieutenants, just like the old Heroic setting. Lt versions of bosses will still count for badges, but you will kill them MUCH quicker, resulting in you getting your badge credit quicker.

In fact, the power_name itself could have been listed as Web_Envelope instead, and it would still work just fine... but in the case of powers, the underscore can only replace the spaces, and not be inserted randomly. Either way, you still need to have the space after the command itself.
Yeah, I somehow missed both the real erroneous underscore, and the other post saying the same thin I did.

    Oops.

    /bind LSHIFT "powexec_name "Web Envelope"$$team "$name is Grounded!!""

Yes, the nested quotes work when used correctly, but I do admit they are not actually necessary. It's just an old programming habit of mine. lol

A "cleaner" command that still works is:
    /bind LSHIFT "powexec_name Web Envelope$$team $name is Grounded!!"
Underscores are for readability only. I personally use powexecname. p_o_w_e_x_e_c_n_a_m_e would also work.
  12. I've always liked Radiation Emission for TFs in general. +Def isn't going to be super useful on ITF, unless it grants Def Debuff Resistance (I don't think any support set does), because the Romans will strip the extra defense rather quickly.

Rad gives a heal, recovery, a rez, some REALLY good debuffs, plus a few situational powers.

    10+ what per day?

Even though the badge gives a Swift Steel gladiator, it is not earned by killing Swift Steels. You have to kill Ancestor Spirits to get it.

Edit: Also, you're capable of removing tags that you put there
    More or less.

The name of the program is "Mids' Hero Designer". If I search for Mids' or even Mids, anything tagged Mid's won't come up. For the same reason, I try to avoid tagging threads with power combinations, instead, I use my two tags to label the two separate powersets.

I've seen, on my home PC, that when you tag a thread, it tries to auto-complete for you. Maybe the same thing happens when you search. I wouldn't know; I spend the vast majority of my time on the forums on a text-only browser, meaning that fancy things like that don't work for me. I may be in the minority, but I'm surely not the only one, so I try to make sure that the right tags are used, when I use them.

As far as the "Mids' not Mid's" tag goes - it was just a humorous poke at whoever had tagged the thread; no offense was taken or intended.

And as much as I think the tagging system has the potential to be a useful searching tool, tunnel cobra eggs vs infected bacon pie and other joke tags render it all but useless.

I'll even change the tag, just for you.
  15. I used to play CoH on my laptop as much or more than I did on my desktop. I now have a new laptop, because my viddeo card literally melted parts of itself, as well as other heat-related issues. Most netbooks are even smaller than laptops, meaning that ther will be less room for heat to circulate and escape.

I suspect that you would NOT want to run a game on a system like that frequently or for long periods. Quick logins to check the market or such? Sure. Running more than a few missions at once? Probably shouldn't. Teaming or Task Forces? Bad idea.
  16. Are you, by any chance, in a busy zone, like Atlas or Talos, on a busy server, like Freedom?

The search window only shows so many people. If you do a broad search ("All players", "Everyone in Atlas", "All level 45-50 scrappers"), not everyone will fit, especially on busy servers. Some will be left off the list, I'm not sure how it's decided who gets dropped.

To be sure that you aren't being excluded from the list, open the search window, make sure that all dropdowns are set to the "All" options, and type the first few characters of your name in the typing field. If your name shows up, then everything is fine. If you don't show up under those circumstances, then something is definitely strange.
  17. Concerning the OP's question about redoing the Ouroboros Initiation:

An arc can be repeated via Flashback once you have outlevelled it, or, for missions that go to 50, when you reach 50. Since the Ouroboros Initiation is level 25-50, you can't redo it until 50. If you ARE 50, you will find it in the "Hero of the City" section of the crystal.

It's not an exception. Next time you're on a TF or Flashback, open the mission window; the mission will be listed under YOUR name, regardless of who has the star.

In TF or Flashback mode, every teammate is the mission holder, just as if the team all had the same mission from the same contact in the "regular" part of the game.
  19. I'm not going to answer your question because I don't honestly know. I just wanted to mention something that you might not have been aware of.

You don't want to farm Family.A few issues ago, it wa decided that they were too easy, and all Family critters in the 45-54 range had their rewards reduced.

Likewise, Freaks very recently had their bonus XP removed, and a small XP penalty put on some (all?) ranks, because they tend to be FAR easier than intended, resulting in them being over-farmed.

I've heard that one of the Praetorian groups had extra attacks added to make them more difficult, though I'm not sure which it was.

However, I also sincerely doubt they'd lock someone from unlocking one or the other based on being middle of the road. The most rational options are, again, to either let starting Hero ATs unlock HEATs regardless of their morality status at level 50 (and ditto for the Villains and VEATs), or to let your morality at the moment you hit level 50 determine which EAT is unlocked.
Sometimes, you lose access to EATs. The solution is to log in an existing level 50 to reacquire them. I suspect that unlocking HEATs will be tied to ATs that are "supposed to be" heroes, and VEATs to those that "should be" villains, regardless of morality. Otherwise, you could just have your 50 switch sides, and have both unlocked.

Yeah, I basically got the same out of it. Like when they changed the Unique Chance for Build Up IO so that it actually WAS Unique. Anyone who didn't respec, lost the extras in their build.

Of course, then people screamed so much that we were given a freespec, even though the number of people making use of that bug was reported by the devs to be incredibly low, like 1% of characters or less.

Nope. Not much at all. Not even close to enough, even adding you and the "Karma" guy together, to offset the +rep.

Too bad you hadn't signed it. I would have given you +rep for trying.

Being in TF/Flashback mode, in a SG base, or inside an instanced mission will prevent you from ever timing out.

The only reason you should have to worry about timing out while afk in a mission is if your computer's settings will let it slip into sleep mode.

I farm at -1x8 and only half my Pool A drops are 49 - Pool A's drop at the level of the enemy you are fighting, and I farm radio missions. Since I'm not on an outdoors map, half the enemies are 49s, the rest are 50s. A minor quibble, but worth being aware of.
