  1. i wish i got a chance to participate in the special invasion, although i do have to admit rikti are getting old to use for invasions.

    why not reintroduce the rularuu invasions, or create new invasions altogether such as an arachnos invasion on heroside and longbow invasion on villainside when someone completes the STF or LRSF respectively. theres plenty of enemy groups out there to choose from, and it would be something new and fresh instead of perking up the current invasions, which a LARGE majority of poeple hardly even participate in anymore unless they need the badges.
  2. they used to have a transfer from NA to EU servers and even gave a badge for it, passport i think, but that was discontinued a long while ago.
  3. thats one of the only things dont like about the SSK system, the only thing you can really do is pass star to higher person and if a mish is up, just select a different mish.
  4. i know the drops per lvl range vary some, but the cost of merits is static at 20, so whatever you decided to roll will be 20 merits. i know some people say the 35-39 range is good because you can get miracle drops in that range ad a majority of people like most any of the IOs in that range.
  5. for merit rolls, i do a random roll whenver have enough merits to do so, as for the lvl range of the roll, i pick whatever i feel like that day.
  6. i do understand about casual players and stuff, i dont think they should scrap the current events, just create something different and alternate between the old event and the new event each year.

    while it is true the "bigger isnt always better", they have them for the length of time so everyone can participate. what they need to do is something completely new, like redo the whole event so its not the same every year.
  8. i do think the holiday events need to be changed more than they have. the raid type events are annoying as anything. i would welcome the idea of more instanced mishs (or changing the mish as in the winter event or valentine event).

    but overall the holiday events have become rather dull after 3 years of nearly the same thing (as in my experience).

  10. i dont think they minded the farming so much as the exploitative farming. yes, a farm tag would be nice, but think about it...

    you add a farm tag to ANYTHING and it will be hunted down by the AE worshippers that despise farming and be reported into oblivion. granted a tag on it *might* mitigate them into not caring as much, but thats what i see happening if a farm tag was added.
  11. im not moving any toons off of victory, always played there and playing on other servers feels wierd to me. all my friends an my good vg is on victory so no reason to transfer anything.
  12. i like the axe, especally in the lower lvls with the damn ghost typ enemies you have to face in the pre lvl 30 game. sands sucks in my opinion because if it misses you have to actually watch the whole animation (same as shadow maul) which leaves you open to enemies, the short redraw animation is much better than the long animation. in addition the -tohit is small, on the order of mabe -7.5%, which is almost neglibible against anything upper lvl or AVs. the axe can do a good bit of dmg and can 2 shot things in the ghost/undead category
  13. yeah, that complaint didnt make a lot of sense to me either, as im part farmer, i would rather the farm be extremely easy. but a complaint saying its not hard enough to be farmable, kind of boggled my mind there

    Allies question

    allies are really good if you make the correctly, allies that do dmg will reduce rewards of the enemies they helped kill, and most of the debuff/buff sets are very buggy with the ally AI. if you need pointers on them, can always pm me in game or on here
  15. the ally AI is horribly buggy in AE, from what i noticed with pain doms is they will use th single target heal and world of pain only affects themselves, they wont use any other powers. the emps wll only use single target heal, cm, and fortitude, and VERY rarely RA (i think RA is used based on their current hp).

    the allies will heal and stuff as long as you have them on aggressive with few primary powers and less allies, more han 3 allies and they will only start buffing each other occaisonally hitting you with a buff

    theres bugs with nearly every debuff/buff in AE for allies
  16. interesting idea, but i do agree that the fog needs to go. an idea that i got from reading yours and would be much easier to implement is during the day (in-game) the fog would lift, and adamaster would only spawn during the nighttime similar to some other things that are in the game. other than that they dont really need anything else in the zone except maybe change what spawns during the day. but according to the background concepts of dark astoria it is supposed to be "eternal night", the fog itself i dont remember the reason it was there, but the background information can be found on paragon wiki
  17. its not impossible to knock down an AV, on teams some AVs can be knocked down fairly easy, the ability to knock down the AV is dependant on the AV, cause some AVs have no knockback protection without the purple triangles and some automatically have 100 mag kb protection on top of the 50 from the triangles. lord recluse for example has 100 mag kb protection + 50 kb protection from the purple triangles. nictus rommy in the ITF has 0 base kb and just 50 from purple triangles. i have fought both enough and never seen recluse knocked back/down at all and have seen rommy get knocked back/down when they get hit with enough kb attacks.

    the current defender inherent provides an endurance discount for more poeple on the team, supporting the fact they are supposed to be team dependent.

    i dont mind defenders too much, but to me they are very underpowered compared to corruptors and way too team oriented for my liking.


    as for the topic of the threat, i think the problem was fighting a custom enemy. custom enemies are insanely overpowred compared to any normal enemy, even with the same sets as a normal enemy. yes i do feel defenders are weak, but they would be able to solo a EB with the right inspirations and correct slotting.

    yes you can get 5 different things from the first time you get it, once you have 1 instance of the 3 temp powers and have the costume piece, the only thing it CAN give you is the inf or inf/prestige

    having other things besides this that would actually make it more of a mystery even when you have the temps and costume piece would be better than nothing.

    they really should be reworked some because it is true its not a mystery after a bit, even awarding a present inspiration in addition tothis would be better.
  20. energy melee should get better AoE dmg, the longer animation times dont really bother me at all, but i hate how i cant kill larger mobs fast enough, yes ST dmg is good, and the stackable stuns are very nice to take out boses or EBs, but the sad pathetic amount of AoE dmg is horrible, whe i first used EM, i thought TF would have been a AoE similar to thunderstrike, they both have the same animations and yes, TF does a lot more dmg than thunderstrike, but i would give up TF for thunderstrike anyday. they both have the same dmg types (energy/smash), same animations, but TF does slightly more dmg but it cant hit more than 1 target.

    the EM/SR brute i have now i hardly ever play and never even took taunt on because he cannot handle the larger mobs because of a lack of AoE attacks, if it gets a buff to set, i would gladly respec him if they changed EM at all.
  21. this would make an interesting addition, from what i have heard, they might be working on some new inspirations which provide 2 bonuses of current inspirations, like a heal and end inspiration instead of currently the 2 seperate ones.

    according to paragonwiki there were about 6 new insprations added to the training room during the winter event 2009 patch, as far as i know they dont exist in the live servers, but they might have something more in the works

    this i agree with, the only tfs that prolly do require 8 poeple to do are STF and LRSF, ITF i think is 6 poeple min, but could prolly be done with 4 if everyone was purpled out. most all of the other tfs dont need more than 4 poeple minimum.
  23. yeah, some of the vet rewards are a little "meh" to "worthless", but they have 22 vet badges which award some type of reward, im sure they are just trying to think of new ideas because if they wanted to add a vet reward with a power, they would have to design the power and all the internal stuff to go along with it. a good suggestion would be to start a thread in the suggestions section about stuff for future vet powers.

    NPC raids would definitly be the way to go, but then thats a lot of internal work for the devs to set up that kind of stuff, but linking an NPC raid to something you do from the sg mish computer would definitly be cool

    the vanguard pricing is kind of high

    yes, you can make an enormous amount of merits doing ship raids, but you need 2+ teams for the raid, and enough poeple to actually want to do the raid, if you do all the RWZ contacts, the most you might get if your lucky is 100 merits.

    i agree that either the pricing needs to drop, or make vanguard merits drop more often outside of the ship raid.
