  1. Pretty sure provoke requires accuracy, you might want to squeeze some in there. Your global acc bonus will make the power useable, but you might struggle to hit bosses/+4s.
  2. I would probably go for both sets if they were awesome.
  3. A suggestion I saw on these boards but haven't tried yet (I haven't played on my mm since I read it) is to keep your 3 small pets in bg mode always, and use the 3 bigger pets to attack a specific target. It sounds effective to me.
  4. I see pets as the easiest power to skip on a dom. Without a buff/debuff set pets just don't last long enough for me to use them.

*except carrion creepers, if you want to call that a pet.
  5. Drain psyche is one of the most awesome powers in the game. /psi is worth it just for that.

Have you tried to translate your concept into a Dominator? The controls give you the mitigation you lack as a blaster but still give you a decent amount of ranged attacks and damage output that is almost as good. Perma dom gives you the mez protection that you lack as a blaster which can be more important to most scrapper lockers.
Lol yes. Every time I play a squishy and get stunned/held/slept/etc I get more pissed off than just getting killed right off.
A well built dom can run with the scrappers without breaking a sweat.

A fix for the problem at the character selection screen should be coming in a future patch (Soon™)
The misspelling is also in the costume load screen. I havent seen it anywhere else yet.
  8. Seems like I have seen a thread showing what attack types staff is going to have. Since I'm super excited for it, I would like to start planning a build already.

Also what secondary will go best with it? I'm thinking energy for my concept, but could change it when I see how the attacks work.
  9. This is pretty strange. I made this character, then loaded into the game to see I spelled the name wrong. I came out to delete/remake, and see in the deletion prompt that the name is spelled correctly there.

Is there a fix for this?
  10. I made and ice/storm corr focused on -rech, it didn't feel effective. I deleted by 25, so maybe I just didn't stick with it long enough. I'm pretty sure I was getting over -100% rech by then though

With drain psyche should be nearly perma capped on recovery.

Yep this is what I do, though I was wondering what the best strategy is now that ambushes have been nerfed?

Shadow Puppet would be sort of an enemy-targeted Soul Extraction. You would target a defeated enemy and raise a version of it with an appropriate spooky aura as your pet for a limited time. It would obviously need limits, although how cool would it be to raise a friendly AV Ghost Widow and turn her against the other patrons?

What are you hoping for in the tier nine?
This would be awesome, but make it a shadow clone of a live enemy. The tech already basically exists, as seen in Posi tf. With possess and haunt I expect dark control to be one of my favorite sets, with a shadow clone I might never play anything else.
  14. Lol man people are just giving you a hard time because you are so sure of autumnal with very little reason for for it. If autumnal comes out and its not a rehash of fire/ice/dual blades that would be great. Maybe instead of rain of fire they will get rain of leaves. Maybe we will get a power that turns an npc costume brown before doing knockdown. Maybe anything. Until the devs say more you shouldn't get too Hung up on it.
If you are right I will give you an e-high five for your ability to read the devs minds, but until then I will call this set idea silly.
  15. I would love to have a T9 pet with invisibility so it is really hard to see, and a fear aura. And have it be as huge as possible. A big scary ghost...

They use psychic melee on that, and as previously posted so does psylocke.
If there was a powerset that consisted entirely of telekinetic thrust from psi assault, I would play it every day. I love throwing baddies with my mind.
  17. I like to keep dom on autofire, and stick hasten in the middle of my attacks. That way I get both as soon as they are ready.
  18. Use 5 luck of the gamblers in defense powers, then look for +rech sets in powers you are going to slot heavily. Expensive purple sets make it easier but aren't necessary.

Outside of Super Strength have you got any other recommendations for a good /FA Brute?

    Thanks.
Consume only protects against -end, not -recovery so It isnt perfect. But -recovery powers dont usually last longer than it takes for consume to recharge in my experience.

My fire brute build isnt really done yet, so psi is still a problem. Getting perma hasten so the heal comes back faster would always help though.

Mine is fire/fire for concept, it works fairly well at killing things. The knockdown from ss or any other set with some kind of mitigation will survive better than my fire/fire though. Im not very familiar with km.
  20. Since someone always tells me that consume is "bugged," here is what it looks like to take down a malta sapper with only consume and blazing aura. My end bar stayed completely full the entire time.

I was torn between Electric Armour and Fire Armour here, common sense said Electric as it covers the holes that FA has, however I've seen posts saying that Incarnates and IO's make Psi and -End a non issue.
/fire brute with consume is immune to end drain. That is the best thing about fire armor.
  22. Has there ever been an aura/path/costume piece tied to a new powerset outside of the veats?

I'd still rather honestly see the Build Workshop idea being put toward each individual AT rather than being lumped into one sub-forum though.
A build subforum in each AT forum would be great. It would get used more, and it would be in a logical place to find the build you want.

if regen is not the answer to this then plz suggest a set i will be comfortable, thank you vauluur and gavin for the info.

EDIT: i want a set that can do everything, thats my question so to speak, that can solo mobs fine, got good damage and mitigation, the has no end problems, can solo av's and gm's and hold his own on solo content aswell as teams.
I would reccomend kat/wp or some other /wp. I love regen a lot, but I consider it more challenging than survivable.

I remember attempting some math on that for a scrapper and finding by the time the res got high enough to help, it wouldnt be enough to keep you alive. With a tanks higher hp it should be better, but still probably not enough to stay alive. Ill have to check that out.
