Here are my few ideas on what could be done to diminish the issues.
1.Make Placate an inherent power you receive when you take AS replace it with a PBAoE attack almost every Stalker primary has had an aoe removed and that alone makes them half crippled on large teams.
2. shorten the interrupt and animation times on AS its only use full in hide as it is and since you cant be seen in hide the idea of siting still that long is just pointless from game play stand point
3. Spawn the fear/debuff pet off the caster not the target so it wont be useless if you kill the target.
4. remove crit from hide from all AoE dmg but increase its base dmg of said attacks yet still keeping them below scrapper equivalent.
5. expand the crit chance buff area of effect to something useful on most teams. A few extra feet would make this far more helpful
That's 5 thoughts of things that would help stalker without changing how they play/where they stand.
That leaves the smaller Issues that can never be fixed in order of there danger to stalkers
1 Ambush seeming infinite perception number
2 Placate bug
3 long animation attack that has a team steam roll past them every few seconds making them seem useless causing them to be ignored by the player base
4 Sheared aggro, not the big issue is it.
IDK it may just be me but the statement you started this thread with seem like you are righting off an AT as un-fixabull and that kinda makes me angry just a bit. -
Sadly the trial accounts were being abused by spammers so many unfortunate limitations were placed on them.
A trail account can however be invited to a team by a none trial account,
IMHO the trail account system could use another going over, its just not very "New Player impressing" as it should be. but YMMV -
This tends to happen if you log out in an area with a spawn near by it seems and not just in cap but any zone the server will decide for what ever reason that doping you there would be bad so it drops you in a defaulted location every zone has this "if cant spawn at x spawn here" it seems.
I have had this happen so many times i just roll my eyes at it anymore, Remember that your toon actually drops "in game" before you have control over it i think that this code is to prevent spawn death that would make players rage. "note if you log out when dead it seems to bypass this effect(this has not been tested)YMMV" -
Normly affter you pick pick up a few powers i would say drop the nova form the WS has so many ways to destroy stuff it dose not need "blaster" mode. in fact its human/dwarf forms alone can put out stupid lvl of dmg if you get the timing of the mire down
-
Well since we are talking blasters it shuld be a easy matter to immob somthing as almost every blaster secondeary has an imomb power as its first manditory pick,
With that its a easy task to set a boss on fire and walk away, greanted its not as effective as if you had imobed a huge spawn in a tiny spot ond set them all on fire but it defintly provieds a good amount of alternative dmg type to a boss/eb/av fight.
AR main focus is cones so using ignight as a keep away power is actuly more helpfull in the long run as you can cover a large area with cone shaped death with only min +rech -
-
If i recall the last time this came up the thought was it be to easy explot lvl something easy in the low lvls and respec to somthing that lvls slow in the low lvls but is beast in high lvls.
The other reson is its just not needed with out buying any extra slots you get an amazing amount of slots to make ALTs dont like that one make a new one.
The main point for me is this game is not about beeing at the tip top hake most content drops you down lvls when you up that high unless you just love to spam ITF LGTF STF/LRSF in mass that gets dull mighty fast, the point of this game is building a toon from lvl 1 -50 and all the time inbetween unlike some games this game is ment to be re played over and over to try differnet things different storys i read just the otehr day of a guy who only streaped sweaped is way to 1-50 solo like a super hero taking the fight to the streets old school.
So its HIGHLY unlikly we will ever see AT respecs, it would fly in the face of the point of this game and the community in general some would like it most would have blind rage flash'es. IMHO -
From my understandings you can contact the US based servers from anywere, you would need a EU acount to contact the EU servers
-
I have used it a number of times on toons that it just "fit" normly sloting it with range and 2 end reducers is more then you will need. remember the end the power uses dose not chane just because you can telaport a few extra 100 feet. 2 range-1end or 1 range 2 end tend to be my norm for it or use BotZ it has range and end reducers + nice set buffs on top of that id stil slot an extra end reducer tho thats just me :P

Is it so hard to have one of them click options on this thing, we have it on how many other popup windows!
And i still cant belive people are crying over the tiny debuffs that the MF power has
omg -3% tohit il never pwn face now ....really....just really.... -

Yes it is a +res power in a +def set
There are two strong things this power gives SD,
One; a fall back for when DDR that the set is lacking fails
Two; a Massive +recover and HP buff
With one slot set for End mod this power has a 42.7% recover buff thast almost as good as a three sloted stamina (49.8%) thast with one slot if you put two in it you blow stamina out of the watter with 55% ontop of that you can slot +res or +hp just one lvl 50 heal IO grants you 533 HP's
Now that said i would LOVE this power far more if it was effected by +rech it is skipabull if your not having issues with Shilds low DDR but if your runing into huge def debuffs it can keep you out of the fire fairly well. -
Your data link dose not work, and you did not post the data chunk as a back up, plz edit and fix this so we may help you wwith out doing math in are heads.
-
Im going to say it can be done, however its going to take a huge amount of +rech, if you have managed to perma hasten your likly alrdy very far on your way to geting it done.
I know there is a knock back set that has a nice +rech buff at a 5 slot cost and that will help unless your willing hunt down Perp IO's they do provide the largest +rech in bouns terms -
Your going to need it in a soft caped build, as you will need to run alot of stuff to keep it working for you, i built a nice Elec/3 softcaped to ranged dmg with end sapping for melee def its fairly hard to fail with :P in fact here is the build it might save you some time working on yours if you ahve a starting point alrdy at softcap.

Best advice I can give you is try and remember that unlike Wow this game is more about the trip to the lvl cap then a race to it. There is a Huge amount of stuff to do all the way up and some great story lines to experience.
as every one has said,
Freedom - is the high pop server you will find pug (pick up group) teams here the easiest.
Virtue - Is the RP hot zone if you want to really pretend your in paragon this is the server for you, its also the second most pop'ed so teams are easy to come by.
Some find this game a bit odd compared other MMO's since its HIGHLY instanced. meaning most players will be on a mish map and not out in the world wee they are easily seen, this gives the impression sometimes that an area is deserted when in truth there may be half a dozen teams running about.
Anyhow Welcome to the City of "X" Good Luck & Have Fun :P -
Im fairly sure this is to push a number of bug fix's from test to live (respec bug), also there is that LGTF bug and the the one that prevents some mob from beeing mezed. any of them geting fixed would be awsome but that NPC Mez bug is the worst imo.
-
Quote:I did read that an as far as i know thats parity much how it works, Slow>Immob for incoming dmg decrease yet Immob > Slows for Control and escape. So, tl;dr version: Yes, as far as I can tell a slow reduces the number of incoming attacks more than an immob does for as long as the enemy retains a perceived path of approach and does not reach melee range. However, with a few exceptions this is difficult to properly leverage; an immobed enemy will stay immobed pretty much as long as you feel like, while a slowed enemy will still reach melee range unless you stop attacking to run away.
Any time you can cause the Ai to try and run affter you will make them attack less, They have a one track mind) Run-stop-shot-run, repeat were as if they stand still its just shot-recharge-shot repeat if you have high -rech immob will be just as effective at this but since most slows alsp have - rech and slow effect from a dmg mitigation front Slows are better, for a keep them there so we can rip them apart with aoe stand point immob is better -

I'd suggest that the devs put an XP rating on each arc so that players can tell ahead of time whether an arc gives decent XP. I like a good story as much as the next guy. But I like a good story that gives decent XP even more, and there's no reason you can't have both.
QUOTE]
Hmm, I like that idea, it be a realy usefull bit of info about an arc. They would have to come up with some kind of scale and system for it but it would be nice QoL AE improvment
As for the nerf's / bug fixes no overly bothersome the res thing has been needed for a long time, all player res powers has an invunarability phase to them so why not have the npc have the same efect.
Ally buff bots need the nerf bat pwning, sure they were not as bad as the minto farms(omg that was lame) but still fairly bad. I have ran a few of my arc's that have ally's and noted no signifacant drop in xp/inf so im thinking one or two is not going to gimp your arc. -
The thing is the game is now in compation, so any info they give out can be used agenst it. There trying to keep ther plans safe form copy cats and the like.
At the moment there is a number of Dev post about what Ultra mode will be best run on its not to crazy high end.
Just keep in mind that alot of there time is beeing pressed into GR atm alos we just coming out of the event storm that starts in holloween and ends about valintines in that string of time patching and updats are slow do to the dev's not wanting to mess up there work on the events. -
Geysers in my experience is a skill that must be mastered, that is to say some people say never use traval powers were others rely on them to over come the limitations of the Geyser system.
There are two things i recommended to anyone who is trying to navigate the shard with powers other then fly and tp
1; Make sure you are entering the geyser from the front, there is a path leading in to the geyser entering them from any other direction will do strange things to you normally resulting in a long fall and starting over.
2; buy a jet pack just in case..... even when you have got the hang of the geysers sometime seems they just don't toss you were you expected them too, so geysers even seemed aimed to do just that.
The only other thought i could think of that may be helpful other then the old mantra.
"If at first you don succeed try try again then buy a jet pack"
Would be download the map pack from the badge-hunter, the vidiotmap pack shows were all the geysers go they have green lines that depict were they will shot you off to helpful. -
