  1. Ice/Energy used to be extremely popular all around. Very fluid single-target attack chain with added control. Doesn't have a snipe and Bitter Ice Blast only has a 50ft. range(still better than most tier 3 blasts) but it's still effective. I'd also recomend Archery.
  2. I've got 3 Colds and several Rads I don't play so much anymore. Both are great sets but in thier own ways. While both debuff and buff, they do so in different ways making them rather hard to compare. Bottom line for me, the only thing Rad does that Cold cannot is heal, lower To-Hit and +rech. The first, I could care less about. The second is replaced by shields and the third...well you got me there.

    I play Cold because it's a diverse and very potent powerset when played in the right hands.
    Theres always something to do and it does it well. I can say no evil about Rad but honestly, if you fail playing a Rad, theres more at question than which powerset has bigger nuts.
  3. Because unlike Peacebringers, Warshades offer a whole new play experience unlike any other Archetype. Sure, some of thier powers are based on certain Dark X powers but many of them are quite unique or have an extra something added rather than the Copy+Paste list Peacebringers have.
  4. My very first Corruptor was an Energy/Dark. It was quite fun. Until I ETed everything out of my Tar Patch and away from my anchor target. I promptly deleted it. That was my first and last Energy Blast character.

    I see AR around every now and then but never Energy. Can't say for Archery as I just returned and haven't been over Redside much but I'd also put Ice Blast down. Ice/Rads used to be everywhere. I kinda envied them, being Fire/Rad(Ha! I showed them!). Most of what I see is Fire, Sonic and Elec. I remember once upon a time when Ice had a solid, fluid attack chain. Then they screwed with the animations and my Ice/Cold has gather dust ever since
  5. Yes. I have a Human-only Warsahade I play here and there. I really like the forms but while leveling, slots are so tight I just cannot effectively slot for tri-form and be effective. In this day of steamrolling content, even while leveling up on PuG's, by the time I get rolling, the spawns wiped out. Since the change to toggles not dropping, some of the human shields are more attractive and I'm nearly high enough for Eclipse so survivability really shouldn't be an issue anymore. Just blast-troll in Human and let the poof balls supplement the damage. Works for me, anyway.

    PS: Can't say for PB's. Highest I've gotten one is about 18ish and I just couldn't stand the sounds and bright lights. It seemed more like a Energy/Energy Blaster with special effects and some added survivability at the cost of damage.

    Good catch there on the KB...I completely forgot about Ninj's lack of protection there. I knew I was over the cap on def but I was worried a bit about debuffs, if they got through. Thanks for the input.

    Yes. DM/Regen -> FM/Regen

    Don't regret it one bit, even though it was my first and oldest character. Stronger, Faster and Funner. Gave me an excuse to run all the old school TF's/Trials again.
  14. When I used multiple accounts, I'd always use gamecards for the additionals. I'd always check Gamestop first, as I have not one, but 2 of them within 5 minutes. They never, ever have time cards. They sometimes have game copies of CoX, but that was it. At one point I asked the managers why stock an MMO, a successful one at that, and not time cards when they've got an entire display full of WoW products. More or less the same answer, noone buys them, the sipments haven't arrived, sold out...yada yada. Needless to say, I don't buy games there anymore. Best Buy always has them but I don't like driving 30 minutes for a time card. Never shopped at Walmart so I couldn't tell you about them.
  15. I'd say Psy and Electric. After the teens, you just don't see many Psi Blasters outside of PvP. Electric just doesn't make up for it's own shortfalls and is further brought down by naysayers.

    Fire and Ice, as always, are all over with Sonics now coming out of the shell. AR is see plenty of. Archery is shown more late-game. Energy, I'm seeing less and less of these but Eng2's are still around.

    And I'll add in myself that when I first rolled a WS after hitting 50, I went several levels(10-12ish..I remember going through Atta in Human because of it) after picking up Nova, thinking I had to train for the Nova form attacks. I don't remember exactly how I found them but needless to say, I felt pretty stupid
  18. As a Human WS, I did take it for the sole reason that sometimes, you just don't have any bodies around to leech off of. For me, that alone makes it worth it.

    I'm not sure how it'd go on a PB but I'd most likely take it since you don't get SC and CP isn't going to be up all the time.
  19. I enjoy my Human WS. I tried many times to fit in the forms, though I like, I flat out could not afford to spread so few slots around and still be effective at my current level(33). Though the non-mired damage is nothing special and the AoE is harder to use, there are several unique, cool powers that makes it work. I imagine once I get my Essence slotted up, my damage will take off, fixing the one hole I mind, just in time for Eclipse.

    My plan is to later down the road use my 2nd build as a tri-former with a strong emphasis on Nova/Dwarf. May be a pain due to the 15m cooldown(which is retarded) but I should be able to tell ahead of time which I'll need.

    Grabbing that 2nd group the rogue Blaster/Scrapper waded into, wiped and now agroed on the rest and going back to my business.

    Letting the Blaster that opened with Fireball die.

    Task Forces. The original ones. Though repetitive, the new stuff doesn't have the same allure the old TFC/Hess/Trials have.
  21. Wow. never thought an Ice/Ice would require dipping into Fighting. Never played that combo but my old Ice/EM never required it, even before IO's. Ice also actually felt pretty tanky, certainly no problems getting agro, nor surviving it. Ice Melee I've only limited Test experience with but from what I've made of it, your mitigation would be pretty crazy with IA. I'd make one myself but the piss poor ST damage keeps me away for now. Guess ymmv.
  22. Huh. I know why they did it(Guilty, I admit) but I could have swore they had made it so if the team fell below the required number, it disbanded. Must be losing it.

    Maybe now I'll finally be able to get some merits if I can solo them on my own time.
