If PvP still mattered, I would've said that's overpowered. But now? I guess it's welcome
fire/cold or ill/cold for me. This is very good news. I really wanted /cold for trollers.
I might have to re-roll my ill/ff as ill/cold. Oh, the possibilities.

Unfortunately, I have a rule about not repeating powersets within ATs, so I'm SoL for Fire, Ice, Ill, Earth & Plant. Grav/Cold or Mind/Cold doesn't really do anything for me. Maybe I'll reroll my Plant/Thermal as Plant/Cold? I'm not that sold on Thermal and Snow Storm would help w/the fliers.

Wondering what Fire Imps in covered in Cold shields will look like.
For that matter, what Frosty will look like in a Cold shield--all spikey, like "Ultimate Jackfrost"
You won't be able to use the Cold shields on the Imps - due to thematic reasons they'll melt as soon as you apply them (or the Imps will die, not sure which yet).

The thermal shields work just fine on Frosty, not sure why cold shields wouldnt work on imps.
Ice/Cold/Cold for me. Ice is the only primary I haven't run yet, and Cold should help with some if its problems (in my eyes, anyway). It can make Jack buffier, and alleviete those end problems (with Heat Loss), and Sleet is just fantastic with any set.

looks like you should be able to get the imps up to 37% def (sheilds, manuev+ 2 def procs, arc fog). That is some pretty tough imps. I like my fire/storm troller, but fire/cold seems like the 2.0 version of it.
The thought of playing another fire troller with bottomless endurance (other than kin) is tempting.
I will make Earth/Cold since Earth Control is my favorite control set.
I will also make Fire/Cold since Fire Control and Illusion Control are tied for my #2 control set. Also, I have one of every Fire Controller combo at level 50.
I dont like the idea of Illusion/Cold, tho, or any of the other /Cold combos, conceptually. I'm sure they will rock, tho.

Never seen the episode of the Simpsons where Burns and Homer get stranded by the avalanche. Plentiful illusionary damage/army being used in conjunction with cold
I said it doesnt work conceptually for me. It still doesnt. One can certainly justify any combo conceptually, but they dont all work for everyone.
"I got injected by psychic nano-bots that allow me to generate illusions and cold powers!" ... easy enough.
The combo just isnt for me.
