Quote:Just wanted you do know, the leader of Venice was the Doge of Venice, not the Dodge.Yes there is a semi-Easter Egg in the address clue "7337 Dodge Ave." from the first mission.
The second mission in the abandoned lab, is located in Crey's Folley. Crey's Folley neighborhood was known as Venice before the invasion. The Dodge was the leader of historical Venice Italy. So when thinking of a street name, I just thought of something that would relate to Venice, Italy. -
Quote:I can't remember a proposed feature that the developers put on a timeline before GR. I guess the level 40-50 content for both COH and COV would count. But they have always done their best to not say "We will have this done, then we will do this, by this date." Precisely because if it doesn't happen for some reason, people complain. Oh yeah, the City Vault would count I guess.Out of curiosity, can anybody name even one proposed feature that the developers have put on a timeline for after Going Rogue? I can't think of one. Which means that we have even LESS assurance of a future for City of Heroes, if Going Rogue isn't a huge hit, than Tabula Rasa subscribers were being given right up until the day before the shutoff date announcement.
So the fact that they have not announced any features for after an expansion that won't even be out for 6 more months, doesn't bother me in the least. They haven't even gotten around to announcing stuff for the next issue (Which will of course be garbage, just ask EvilRyu.) so why would they be talking about what is coming out next year?

That one is easy. Ship raids. I got it when it was 10,000,000 debt paid off on my tank by doing them. The debt from dying was wiped by the xp inflow so quickly, I rarely end a raid with any debt.

COMBINED
Powers
General
- Walk Power - All characters will now have access to a new inherent power -- Walk! This toggle power enables characters to move at a comfortable walking pace.
- The Walk power is an Inherent toggle power given to all characters at Level 2 (like Sprint).
- Please Note that powers or jumping (i.e. pressing the Space Bar) cannot be used while walking.
- This power is not intended for use in combat.

I assume so, because I had the sound FX problem and it went away with the fix. I was on my Inv Tank and no headache from the constant start up.

Thanks for the review and the feedback in game. As for it still being a Work In Progress with 70 plays, you should have seen it at the start. The 3rd and 4th missions were completely different, the Minions spoke fluent English (I missed that they didn't speak it, and no one pointed it out until there were like 30 or 40 plays.
), and out of the 70 plays, I have received 30 comments, including yours. A dozen of them were of the "Great arc!" variety, which are nice to receive but not very useful for correcting mistakes.
The typos and mistakes you pointed out were the most anyone as sent me in game. And they led me to a sentence in a mission complete text that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. I either switched from active to passive in the middle of the sentence, or vice versa. I can't really tell from what was written.
When I found out that the Minions don't speak English, I had the problem of getting their expostion into the missions some other way. I went off canon by having one of the leaders learning a small amount to fulfill his mission. I did have Talshak mention that in the mission return text, I will go over it again to see if I can make that clearer.
I had hit a wall the last time I went over it to make it more friendly to non-trilogy players. I think I have been away from it long enough to see it with fresher eyes, so I will give that another try.
Thanks again for the review. I look forward to seeing your take on the final arc. -
One irritating thing. If you search for "wiki City of Heroes" you get the results, do the removals and move Paragonwiki up and it is remembered. But if you search on "City of Heroes wiki" next time, it is a different search and the wikia results are back.
The paragonwiki.com URL never showed up when I searched for City of Heroes, so I added it. But they used the wiki.cohtitan.com/ URL for it. The paragonwiki.com URL does show up in links for sub-areas of the wiki, but I never saw it for the main page. -
Since they are not done working on it yet, I doubt the Devs know exactly what the specs will be for it. If you would wait until it was closer to going into Closed Beta (In probably 2 months) then someone might have an idea.

They are not stored client side, unless you do like I do and copy&paste them into a file on my computer. I have every bit of feedback I have received in game on all of my arcs. Which can be a bit depressing when comparing how much the various arcs have gotten.

No wonder I didn't make it. I only had #3 and it was only 1 mission out of the 4.
I don't know how I will get in next year, #1 is a killer. I am lousy at doing little girls.
Wait, that doesn't sound right. -
2 of them I don't. The Blue one was my team, but we left it to go to the purple long before the barrier started coming down. The little bit we did there may have been enough to contribute to lowering the barrier, or someone else may have shown up and took over 10 minutes after we left. If so, there were not very many of them, because it was a fairly small number of people in the zone.

Mine is the Death worshiping BS/DA scrapper. Complete sociopath, covered in magical tattoos, figured out that if he just kills "bad guys" the so-called "heroes" will leave him alone. Every time someone says it to him, I think, "And he would really like to meet them sometime. Alone."

It is possible to make the banners vulnerable without having people at all of the banners fighting. I was in a group in Faultline the first night and almost everyone was at the purple banner. They became vulnerable with about 5 minutes left, and everyone proceeded to quickly take them down, getting the last one with about a minute to go on the timer, so we all got all 4 banner badges in one go. Eventually that alt will get the GM badge. Maybe.
OTOH, my main, which is my badger, has done the event 5 times now. And has 3 of the banner badges and the GM badge. Crashed out of Talos on Virtue twice last night, the second time just seconds before getting the last banner badge. I am going to avoid Talos for the rest of the event. -

Well, since my first arc is in the contest, and my latest is buggy (Need those spawn bugs fixed please.
) I guess I will go with my second.
Title: Simple Times
ID: 70801
Levels: 5-14
Keywords: Solo Friendly, Canon Related, Save The World
Description: Talshak the Mystic has asked for your help with a minor clean up mission in a warehouse. Happens all the time, no big deal, just giving someone a quick helping hand. At least that was how it started. Sequel to Future Skulls, 4727. [SFMA/LBMA]
Yes it is a sequel, but I have tried to make it stand on its own as well. -
Quote:Unless the GM appears on top of the drones at the AE building and nobody gets anything for 20 minutes of beating stuff up.
Greater Mystic Aspect (Giant Monster) Reward Table and Merits -- Unlike other GMs where you or your team needs to do at least 10% of the damage to get credit for the kill and Merits, the Greater Mystic Aspect is more like the final Hamidon, which means, all you have to do is do at least 1 point of damage and be nearby (probably 250 ft) in order to get the Merits and the Reward Table.
This means that there should be no need to rush to the Aspect and start killing and doing a lot of damage before others show up. -
Quote:Sorry, I know 4 or 5 people in my SG that have more time in than you. And a couple more that started at the same time as us. Then there is this thread from some months ago, that had people here that already had 60+ months, and this one that is specifically for people that were 60 month veterans, back in May. So there are many, many more people than 5-10 that have played longer than you. And yes, I am one of them, I will get my 66 months award next week.Dude how long have you been playing?
Because I have about 54 heroes and 28 villians I have been playing for 58 months I know when something is boring. I only seen about 5-10 poeple who played longer then me lol
The only think I haven't done is the STs and the 8 teamed TFs.
Now what is new about Hollaween?
P.S I have 6 level 50s : P
Oh yeah, and I only have 1 50. And 60+ alts in various stages of growth. Which suits me fine, because the fun is in the getting there. -
I just got back on since this patch went through. I noticed something that I have not seen in any of the patch notes or known issues. Where did the alternate animation for Footstomp on Tank Super Strength go? Also, the changes I had made in my costumes and power customization on that character were reset, so I had to re-do (and re-buy) them. I am guessing this happened because of the removal of the Ground Punch.

Actually, there is a spawning bug right now, it mostly affects groups that have different mobs that spawn at different levels, so you can end up with greys and purples in the same mission. But it also sometimes makes either all standard mobs or all custom mobs spawn in custom groups that mix them.

He can edit them on his system, but that will not add it to the published mission in any way. If he doesn't care about keeping that old mission up, then editing the files on his system (I would strongly advise making copies of both and working only with the copies for this. Especially the new mission, since you always get a fresh copy of the old one.), unpublishing the old version, and publishing the new version works.
The only way I can see getting it added to the published mission without unpublishing, is doing a copy and paste of all the text to notepad, then recreating the new mission in the published arc while editing. -
But it is very irritating, you have to go talk to him, to get any farther with the contact that sent you, but as soon as you do talk to him, his arc is open and you either put up with him on your list or run the missions.

Quote:I pretty much agree with all of this. Although one of my insane characters does wear a kilt. (It isn't the fact he wears a kilt that means he is insane. It is that he wears a kilt and his travel power is Super Jump.On all toons. From level one on up. Especially low level toons which have so few slots to begin with.
Vet Rewards are a mixed bag. You get four per year and you can't expect every single one to be super awesome. I expect something awesome at least once a year.
I love Reveal. I thought the 5 Merit reward wasn't worth the effort.
I love the Wings and Trenchcoat and Kilt. I thought the Boxer Outfit and the Greek Letters weren't worth the effort.
But hey, free stuff.) And I have yet to actually claim the 5 Merits on any of my alts. I suppose I should, they spend like ones you earn.
Quote:Once again, I declare the vet rewards working as intended. Some people complain about them being too much and they should be available to everyone. Some people complain that they're lame and should be bigger. Since we're getting complaining on both ends, the reality's probably in the middle.Or unlucky and it unlocks late or not at all.

Quote:For shots of your Enhancement screen, that is in fact the only way to do it. Hitting Print Screen will capture your Enhancement screen and your costume in the Tailor or character creation, but it will not place a copy of the capture in the screenshot directory, it is just in the Windows clipboard. So it is a good thing you were not trying to use the other method for getting those shots.I've never messed with the settings for showing the UI in screenshots; what I've always done is grab the shot I want, then alt-tab out to Paint Shop and click Paste. This is only good for one shot at a time, of course (since you're just using the Windows clipboard), but then I'm usually just taking shots of my power trays and enhancement screen prior to a respec so I can remember where I had everything.
Now if you're looking for multiple shots in sequence, this method is probably not what you want. But for quick & dirty, it works.
