Quote:I also enjoyed arch for a while, but then I just lost it. I had physics issues with the number of arrows I was able to shoot/carry on me. I disliked being able to arrows out of thin air with no explanation.27 levels of it, no RoA yet, and I just can't get over how fun it is to send arrows all around a room picking off people as they scatter (The best part).
I think perhaps it's the speed (is it really faster than other primaries though?) or just the fact that all the projectiles look the same, and end with an enemy getting stuck. Especially Snap shot->Aim Shot->Snap Shot->Fistful, it feels so right.
In any case it's a boatload of fun wherein before I thought it'd only be mildly satisfying like assault rifle was. (with the exception of AR Snipe, that is still awesome.)

What sets put you in your 'happy place'?
Now, if they made arrows out of elec/energy/psychic/dark/fire/rocks/pie, that'd be an entirely different story. -
Quote:This. Right. Here. Does the MMO market really need more medival content? No.
My mother's mother was a Danish immigrant, and I still say "No".
This is a SUPERHERO game, not a Medieval/Fantasy game. We already have plenty of magic/time travel/fantasy in the game.
We need more Tech/Future/Sci-Fi.
We need a Moon/Space Zone. Maybe even an Underwater Zone. We don't need more historical/fantasy zones. -
Without ED, the game would have died.

I have an elec/elec blaster in the late 30s. As others have eluded to, I've found I do better playing to drain the green bar rather than the blue. However, I primarly solo. So apparently end drain is intended as a team tool than a solo tool. Thats fair I suppose, but ultimatly I lost interest in the toon since his secondary was borderline meaningless to me.
Geez. Come to think of it, I haven't played my elec/elec since before IOs. I wonder if IOs would turn me back onto him. Have to look into that. -
Don't tell anyone that I said this, but...Dragons Tail is so fun, I actually use it on single targets on a regular basis.
-
I hate it when that happens.
I wish there was a way to earn a Primary/Secondary/AT respec. I think that would be groovy as hell.. The low level content wouldn't get so old. -
This is a sad day. My cubical at work has be rearranged such that both my monitors face the door. It wasnt just me but everyone. Thus, people can easily see what Im doing now. There is no good equipment or bodily re-positioning that I can do and my rear view mirror rarely helps.
How am I supposed to monitor the forums now?
Devs: Please redesign the forums so that they look like a MS Office application like Word or Excel. -

Quote:Actually I don't really see a problem with this quote. I see no real insult here. I don't belive that I would be offended by someone offering this opinion to me. It really depends on what "tone" you read it in. Tone can be misread easily.I am so happy to be here now more than ever! i love you guys! :P
This is just one of the responces i got
My god man wake up! WAKE UP!
You are now playing a competative game!
You are now in the fighting game genre.
Fighters, Shooters, Strategy. These genres are CUT THROAT.
There is no mercy. noobs die and pros win. Survival of the fittest is the code.
fun aye
I'd look at it as a sort of RP'ing in a way. Competitive vs cooperative and all that. People discover 'secrets' and don't want to disclose them in competitive environments.
I'm not sure there is a way to nerf personalities. -
The best answer to this is subject to other conditions. Good contributor is tough to define as well. Against tough mobs, I think the best blaster would be one that can survive the agro he creates...So that would generally mean focusing on single target style and +def inventions. (Again, if youre on a team that is facing tough-hard-hitting mobs)
Against easier mobs, or if you have lots of protection in the form of buffs/debuffs/tanker, then an AOE blaster would generally be a better contributor than a ST oriented blaster.
Based on this high-level view, a ST blaster will generally be better for a team as he will bring more to the table when the team really NEEDS it.(i.e. kills single tough mobs faster rather than lots of easy mobs faster.)
Debt is generally meaningless these days. Off the top of my head, Id say two average missions will clear off max debt. If you want a 50 blaster, Id just finish off that 50 fire/fire you got.
Generally, AR/Dev would be considered the Weakest team blaster likely the slowest soloing blaster But can still do some things that other blasters cant. -
I just want to add that if universal slots(US) are coming, I'd really like to see the requirment for obtaining a US be smoething other than raw farming.
I think it would be good for there to be a requirement for content requriements. Such as:
x number of badges.
Accolades x, y and z.
x number of contacts completed
Teamed x number of hours
x pvp kills
x number of oroboros.
dayjobs x y and z
Defeated AVs x, y and z.
defeated GMs x,y and z
etc.
My math is a little weak, but according to my calculations, 114% of toons are created for the purpose of farming.
Seriouslly though. Reward game content...not farming. -
I have at least one in the 1800 days as well. Might even be 1900-2000 by now since I havne't even touched tht server in a long time.
Sometimes though, those numbers seem to add up quicker than they should. I've suspected a bug there a few times...probably just perceptions issues on my part. -
Every single time...I forgot to use those damn bees when I needed them. Every single freaking time.
-
Batman can "plan" to be any AT he wants.
-
Planning DP/Energy or DP/Ment. But I might modify it based on how the set plays.
Hoping it's focus is single target...50 levels of AR has me turned off of AOE attacks. -
I actually made a Batman inspired toon out of an AR/Trap Corruptor. Yes, he uses guns, fire, poisons and explosions, but it still worked for me.
-
I had a spines/fire for a while. The animations for spines got to me and I also had trouble 'explaining' how this guy protudes spines AND blows fire from his bodily orifaces.
Doesn't bother me to see someone else with the powers, but I have this 'thing' with having my toons powers make sense. -
Quote:...I'm really interested in trying out the Arachnos soldiers and Khelds and such. SO I know I need to get something to 50...
Frankly, the epic builds are not worth the grind you're about to go through. But to each is own I suppose.
Yes. Scrapper. High AOE builds/damage aura builds will be heavy on the endurance early on. But after you deal with that, they will be the fastest from 40ish to 50-which is the longest chunk of the game. -
Quote:Thats a control/buff/debuff build. It'd be fine for farming if you have a couple blaster on your team.Looking for a unique farming toon. So i made a earth/cold controller. But i feel there is not enough damage. any one have any comments or tips?
Solo farming? Late game a bit maybe if you really love the toon, but I'd think it be slow. -
Someone should also mention, that probabilty-wise, a purple should drop in about 1 out of 5000 kills. Of course, individual results vary.
I'm not sure who said that, but I've seen that number posted a few times. So I cant point you a source right now. -
It's probably all they had time to do.
-
It's posts like this that force me to make a new alt. Thanks alot. I still don't have a level 50 hero cause of people like you!!
-
Anyone who disagrees with my views is evil. Therfore, I am lawful good.
Seriouslly though, my main hero would be lawful good...kindaof a a weird blend of Superman, Cap America and Neo.
My main villain would have to be chaotic neutral. Blend of Batman and a basic merncenary. -
I'll trade vet costumes pieces for more power slots.
