Inventions ? Sure sure, but where are the gadgets ?
elaborate? what kind of weapons and temp powers?
I agree, I've wanted more craftable stuff in the game (even before hitting Aion.) Costume bits, base bits, whatever.
Given all the temp powers we *have* in the game, I can't imagine not crafting some of them - 10 shot rifle, for instance, a temporary "disguise" (no aggro unless you attack a specific group) - say, 15 minutes on that or single use. A crowbar to use instead of the baseball bat. A sword (no extra effect on anything, necessarily, but we do get one in croatoa.)
Funny, I've been thinking of something a long these lines as well, basically a series of temp powers both craftable and purchasable designed to assist as inf sinks in the game, the trick would be to make them powerful enough to be worth going back and getting them regularly you run out, but not be a game breaker, but I also figured there'd be two for each origin and they would be sold at the enhancement stores.
One you could just buy like a Raptor pack, I'm thinking maybe 75-100,000 inf since you're getting a freakin' power here, and not exactly one to completely sneeze at.
Plus, these purchased ones would be more effective if you were the associated origin, to let people's origins mean a little something.
A second one would be a little more upfront effective regardless of origin, but it would be a recipe you must purchase and then craft. The Recipe possibly costing the same amount.
And finally, a purchasable heal other temp power, possibly similar to the one for Day jobs but I think that by giving it only three charges per-purchase could keep the day job power desirable.
Although for fun, here's my suggestion for an alternate to it being a copy of the dayjob power:
Medpack, moderate ally heal, 5 second cast and interrupt time, requires melee range with target. You're character will do a jazz hands as an animation.

I wish we could craft the weapons multiple times so we didn't run out of "ammo" in the middle of a mission.
Ideally we would craft these powers and then use influence to "fuel" them so we wouldn't run out ever, but that's just a pipe dream, I'm sure.

Some kind of 'Bounty Hunter' style store would be nice.
A place to either purchase or craft items that do special damage to certain mobs:
Vs. Robots
Vs. True Undead
Vs. Fae
Are there any other Vs. types?
So things like EMP gloves, EMP grenades for robots
Holy Shotgun Shells, Holy Water, Silver Bullet Crossbows/Rifles, Ghost Traps for Undead
Banishing Staves and..um.. well, not sure about the Fae as we currently only have the wand thingy from Buck Salinger. But you get the idea.
I was thinking about this in terms of a new AT earlier in the year but, due to the limited number of 'special' damage attacks, it soon turned into a regular AR-style set with not enough stuff in it to make it any different from existing sets.
I think there are a lot of temp powers that you only see for a little while and disappear from the game forever, these can be used as craftable inventions.
I think I remember an old Steel Canyon mission vs Council that had you picking through boxes that had temp powers (one I think was a teleport power that gave you short-term intangibility). It disappeared right after the mission tho.
Or what about those self-buffs from destroying that lab equipment. Maybe you can invent a type of portable version of this? The balancing factor being it can't self stack and still be random?
I'm sure there are alot of temp powers that people enjoy using but they run out of juice eventually.

I dunno about you, but I'd love to be able to craft a jar of bees like the ones in Vernon Von Grun's arc. Bonus points if it actually requires Hamidon Goo and a Jar of some kind (perhaps simple chemicals...)
We've had inventions for a long while now, but the devs have failed to add an new craftable powers. It's pretty hard to imagine no one in the game world is intelligent enough to craft weapons and other such powers.
So here's to more craftable temp powers!
