  1. This is a sarcasm thread, right? What 'loot'?
  2. I actually attended a luncheon--our college district annual semester luncheon--many years ago where Ray gave a talk. What an amazing mind he had. And yeah, the Martian Chronicles (along with Issac Azimov's I Robot) is my favorite book.
  3. I have never played CoH for the new-shinies. I run iTrials because they are fun. I love the camaraderie and the satisfaction of working toward a common goal with friends and strangers. It's a Band-of-Brothers kind of thing for me. The new-shinies come as a matter-of-course; they are a side effect of playing normally. From reading this thread I just realized what a complete lunatic I must be
  4. I feel abliged to express my extreme excitment related to this project, DR.

    YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!
  5. Hey Crazy Mike! You rock man! But like Hyperstrike said, I don't think it's likely that the deployment of updates can be easily modified. I'm pretty sure that it is more in NCSoft's hands than Paragon Studios.

This a great shield choice for StJ! An energy shield that allows punches to go through it from the inside out but not vice versa makes great design sense.

Agreed. Now if they would give us a way to invite our own alts to a SG (without needing someone else or creating another account) that would be the terrific--How about 'SG Invite tokens' that we could mail to our alts?

    Sorry for the slight thread-jack.

What is a statement like that even supposed to mean? "Serious Players"? I can only speak for myself, but I go out of may way to NOT do what 'most serious players' do.

And I still find Ice Slick very useful. Much more situational no-a-days. But still a vital power in the right situation.

    Yes it does.

To clearify, the bind is: /bind lshift "powexecname teleport"

Pressing "Esc" does that too. It also detargets anything you have targetted.
  12. Went through a major surgery that saved my life. I spent a month--3 weeks of which I was in a coma--in the hospital recovering. And the whole time I was missing CoH! I lost track of how many characters I created and played in my mind.
  13. Be socialable--unless you are RPing someone who is not

I always say hello and like making silly comments about situations during missions and the like. Teasing people who almost die or for doing something crazy. We're a team of friends, working together toward a common goal. I love the band of brothers feeling of a great team.

You're not alone. So did I. And while I picked 'New Powers', I'm also very interested in how much easier teaming would be if 'Cross Server Teaming' were implemented.

This MUST be remedied! I wanna play it now!

I have an Electric/Electric blaster who is a Japanese school girl! What of it?! I'm on Virtue and I haven't seen another Japanese school girl looking character for quite awhile now actually. There was a Japanese school girl super group about 3 years ago. When they all got together and hung around AP that was a sight to behold.

I completely disagree. I like seeing other players around. The NPC's walking here and there are also nice. But seeing actual players going about their business (street sweeping, sitting or standing around with other players chatting, etc.) makes me feel like I'm in a real world. It helps a lot with immersion for me.
  18. I love Sister Psyche too, Black. But I wouldn't assume anything about her future. She could be mindriding somewhere. She may very well show up again.

And, dear Devs, I look forward to Issue 23! Thank you.

This is an issue I'd love to see resolved someday. Someday soon.
  20. It was a flesh wound...

    Bah, beaten to the punch
  21. Reminds me of a player that I group with now and then who we call Bar Code. Their name is actually something like: IIIlIlII1ll

Not exactly, but you get the idea.
  22. I'm very practical. I use Mutation almost exclusively now for one simple reason: The Mutation SO's are the easiest to distinguish from one another on the vendor. Don't agree? Try finding a Magic Recharge SO on the vendor. Now try finding a Mutation Recharge SO.

    Catalyst

This all sounds far too complication and wonky to qualify as "the way the devs ment it to work". I hope a more sensible method is implemented by the devs soon.

Yeah, I thought this was "normal". The items eventually sell at the price I listed them for. But it always appears the way they do in Emberly's screencap, at 0 each.
