Supergroup Advice, please. :(
Ok first off congratulations on finding an SG/coalition that fits your preferred playstyle. My advice would be to simply ask your SG leader. I promise you he has heard the request before and already has an answer.
Will your 2nd account be VIP? Currently only VIPs can create a SG, pay rent, or edit the base. In addition you presently have to have at least 1 Paragon rewards token before you can join an SG on live. (i23 will let free players join SGs, but there is no info I know of about whether they can create, edit, or pay rent.)
It's not how many times you get knocked down that count. It's how many times you get up.

this is prolly what you should do
Does this SG/Coalition have their own Global Channel? If so it wouldn't really matter how many solo SG's you make, you'll always be in touch with the SG/coalition. The only thing to remember is that your different accounts would each need to join the Global Channel.

if the sg/coalition is large enough a global chat channel would probably make more sense for easier communication since chat channels can have like 2500 members and they use global name instead of each individual toon (so each person is only using 1 space in the list instead of 4,5,6+ space in the sg)

My second account will be VIP. But I am not sure if I can still even create this SG, will I need 5 people in a group at once to make or can I make one by myself and simply recruit? I think I will start by asking my SG leader. They also have a have a Global Channel which I can use to recruit from both Hero and Villian Side for events which is really helpful so I can hold my planned AE events in the Rikti War Zone. I don't group much anymore anyways unless it's for an Incarnate Trial prefering those over any other group activities right now.

This is not a guild from EQ or some such.
SGs are a minimum of one person, and that is all you need to form them.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.

A premium player can edit the base as long as his rank in the SG has the appropriate permission. You are correct that free and premium can't create an SG.

Currently, your second token is what unlocks the ability to join a SG. A free player gets their first token when they create the account. They get their next token when they either buy points (turning them from free to premium) or if they subscribe as VIP.
No that 5 person minimum stupidity is reserved for other MMO's. Our devs wisely chose not to inflict that imbecilic bs on us.

Agreed. Now if they would give us a way to invite our own alts to a SG (without needing someone else or creating another account) that would be the terrific--How about 'SG Invite tokens' that we could mail to our alts?

Sorry for the slight thread-jack.
This is one of those topics the devs have repeatedly said will not happen. We again asked the devs just a few months ago about offline SG invites and we were told that if they ever added such a feature they would deliberately code it so we could not send invites to our own characters on the same account.

But yeah, create a new group if you'd like and go with the channel thing as (unless This has changed) you can only have 5 coalitions per group as well.
I am considering making a Supergroup for all my Brutes, but the problem is, I really like the Supergroup and Coalition I am already in. But they have a limited number of slots available and they are a power player supergroup with players that can and usually DO get from level 1-50 in a day! So no suprise they are making LOTS of toons. In fact, the leader himself actually owns 4 to 6 of his own supergroups on both Villian and Hero side. Right now, they say they will delete inactive characters if they need to, but that rarely happens. They just treat folks right and are very generous. You never need to borrow infamy from any of them, because they do alot of task forces and AE farm Missions and love to have you join, so you just join and usually you earn enough currency to simply buy your own SO's, easily, even though the leader can easily flatulate 50 million infamy. I fear advertising them because I don't want people taking advantage of these folks.
So what I am considering doing is simply asking the supergroup and coalition leader if I can make my own Supergroup and have it join the coalition. I am not doing much in game these days, except spending a great deal of time working at my job, and when I do play the game. I am mostly focused on making my 8 AE Story Arcs which are actually just stories, not farm missions and creating my Brutes in Praetoria and playing them there until they hit level 20, then go to Sharkheard, turn Rogue, Rob a bank in a mayhem mission, then go to First Ward and do it's story arc. (Don't do this it's WAY slower doing the sewer trial over and over.) I do group ALOT in game By the Way. I got Brutes that are level 50, so I just sign up for incarnate trials and I got one with all tier 4 abilities and about to get a second one!
Can I just make a second account later this year if I get approved, and then create the Supergroup and then recruit all of my brutes? I also don't want my second account to go to waste, so I am considering all Masterminds and an Arachnos Crabspider on that account, but the short duration of most buffs actually turn me off and I want a Mastermind that will be useful in Incarnate Trials by himself with no pets, except for the BAF. I don't think soloing is really an issue, I guess I just use my Brutes to level myself and refer to the Mastermind Forums for advice on how to do incarnate trials before asking for one. But what Mastermind should I start out with?
