  1. Well, they can also run each arc once per character for a non-timered reward.
  2. I see you're on a VIP account from your gold forum name, so there's not much else in the store to enhance your performance. You could get enhancment boosters, but they're terribly expensive to use on any meaningful scale. You could get the insps or temp powers, but spending points on single-use items is silly.

How many points are we talking about spending here?

If you don't care about buying any of the powersets (remember that Staff Fighting and Titan Weapons are coming "soon"), maybe stuff like XP boosters could be a good option?

    Lore pets

I disagree. I wouldn't find a nerfed-but-perma version as useful, and I also don't want all my characters to turn into masterminds that have to micromanage pets all the time. I play a mastermind when I want to do that, thank you.
  4. You have 6 LotG 7.5's slotted, so the Rule of 5 makes one of them worthless.

You've taken Hover, and appear to be relying on it for defense, but it's not slotted for speed, which reduces its usefulness in combat. Maybe move the BotZs over from Fly? You might want a +fly enhancement in Swift, rather than the +run, for the same reason.

You will probably have moderate-to-severe End problems, unless maybe you're planning on Ageless?

The slotting in Tough is rather silly; the status resist is unnecessary when you have actual status protection from Active Defense, and it's underslotted for resistance. You're also using a rech/end which should probably be a res/end or pure resist.

Deflection and True Grit are imo underenhanced (for resist and health, respectively), although YMMV on that.

As mentioned, the scrapper version of Melt Armor is really terrible, don't bother.

Do you have a particular attack chain in mind?

Since you have Musculature already pushing you way into ED territory, you'd be better off with the acc/rech in the purple sets, instead of the pure damage enhancement.

You will want Active Defense long, long before level 49. Even if you're already 50, you should move it to earlier in the build in case you ever want to exemplar.
  5. Pets generally have more than one attack, so the mouseover in the enhancement screen can't tell you how much damage they do per hit because there's no single answer to that question. However, the detailed info view lists their attacks, which can be expanded to show details like damage.

Note that the attacks granted by upgrades can also be viewed this way in the details of the upgrade power; since the upgrade itself isn't slotted for damage it will only show you the base damage, but when the pets use the attacks they will indeed receive the damage bonus they're slotted with.
  6. The categories are named in a potentially confusing way. Account items are once per character, and character items are once per account. For clarity, it's better to think of them as "available to everyone on the account" and "available to one character".

So yes, 4 XP boosters means you can take 4 charges for a single character, or 1 charge each for 4 characters, or some other combination totaling 4, but NOT 4 on every character. The Experienced vet power, on the other hand, is given to every character.

There's no reason not to Claim All in the Account tab other than maybe avoiding clutter. The Character Items tab should be used more judiciously.
  7. Honest question: what part of Conditioning does Mids not already reflect? I thought the higher recovery and regen were all the power does.

Scrapper damage scale (1.125) x Scrapper damage cap (5.00) = 5.625 before counting criticals, 6.1875 if you average in the 10% crit rate most scrapper attacks would have against a single hard target

So scrappers end up slightly ahead at the damage cap. They also (for "most" primaries and secondaries) are slightly ahead in the absence of damage buffs. With moderate damage buffs, the gap widens, but the brute's higher cap lets them almost catch up at very high buff levels. Brutes can get Gloom though, which counts for a lot on single-target DPS.
  9. I know that the weapon pieces are available in the store; I'm not certain if they're included in the pack, but I would imagine so.

I like this answer the best.
  11. Add me to the list of people who will pay real money to get these pieces from character creation.

No, it isn't. Siphon Speed uses the normal flight speed cap, it can never be as fast as Afterburner.

To put numbers to that - normal flight caps at 58mph by level 50. Afterburner can get you well above 80.

Edit: To put more numbers to it, the speed difference between Afterburner and normal Fly is about as large as the difference between Fly and Hover!

    Afterburner

    Totally agree.

I like the little shockwave when you activate it, too.
  14. Well, it's called a uniform for a reason, after all.
  15. You can, but it rounds to the nearest day until you get under a certain amount of time left (48 hours?).
  16. I know that, but Spring Attack has a longish base recharge, so you still wouldn't get much use out of the proc.
  17. Even if it did work, it's a terrible place to put the proc, anyway.

Now that you've adjusted the base tohit*, Mids is showing your actual chance to hit +4 enemies. So, preferably, you want 95%.

*I know ultrawatt said 38%, but paragonwiki says 39% is the base tohit against +4s.
  19. Ice Armor is based on typed defense. There is little reason to worry about your positional defense when your typed defenses are already capped.

No, it doesn't. It gives 3% defense to everything, but only enhances the resistance of the power it's slotted in.

As I understand it, power boost doesn't work on resistance because of something about how the code works - resists would actually be boosted by +damage, if they were flagged to be boosted at all, and it would be silly for Build Up (not to mention brute Fury) to boost resistances.

Sorry I can't provide any insight into why set bonuses favor defense over resists, though.
  21. 139% accuracy is excellent... if you're fighting enemies your own level. 95% accuracy is all you need in that case. But against higher-level enemies, that 139% turns into a different number. To find out what your chance to hit will be against higher-level enemies, go to Options -> Configuration -> Exemping and Base Values -> Base Tohit, and change the 75 to 65 (+1), 56 (+2), 48 (+3), or 39 (+4).
  22. Hey, Afterburner gives me more uptime on Marauder in Lambda because I can follow him faster when he leaps. That's a straight dps increase ;P
  23. It sounds kinda like a PYEOOOOOOWWWW mixed with the rumble/hum of dark powers, I assume.

  25. Sadly, even if there were a blast/defense AT, pistols/shield would still not be allowed, for the same reason dual blades/shield isn't allowed now.
