Any chance of new power combinations?

I wanted shields and dual pistols but I couldn't. I'd really like to see this combination but I also wanted a little more freedom in general. Any chance we could see more power combinations?

I think you mean "new ATs"; and the answer is a definite maybe. The Devs have said that they are open to the idea of new ATs, but haven't said that they are planning any in the immediate future.

Sadly, even if there were a blast/defense AT, pistols/shield would still not be allowed, for the same reason dual blades/shield isn't allowed now.

The next AT's we're getting are the PEAT Fire and Ice themed Kheldians. You heard it here first.

I've occasional considered a "Leader" AT. They'd have Mastermind pet sets, but the personal attacks would be replaced by the standard three armor toggles. Their other powerset would be attacks rather than buffs/debuffs. Their inherent would be combination of Mastermind Supremacy and Tanker Gauntlet; you're supposed to get in the thick of things and keep the mob's attention.

There is precedence for this in some small fashion of the game already. The Tsoo Swift Steels are Katana/Kinetics (which is an awesome sounding combo). Would have to get every single pool power that lets you get some mitigation, though.


11 months of all-nighters, messy feeding sessions, bath fighting and realizing just how good my son's lungs work, and I am still convinced he is the crowning accomplishment in my life. What in the blue HFIL is wrong with me?

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

A Support/Melee AT (Heroic-named Commander) and an Assault/Support AT (Villainous-named Striker).

Commander's inherant would be like Blaster's Defiance, attacks increasing your damage resistance and regeneration, while using buffs/debuffs/heals would increase your defense and mez protection. By keeping active and evenly using your primary and secondary, you would increase your own survivability to keep up with potential aggro from your actions.

Striker's inherant would be gaining additional recharge, damage and secondary-effect (things which would be effected by Power Boost) for enemies and allies in range (I would say about 12ft?). By being in the thick of battle, you gain additional fervor for the fight, increasing your offensive and supporting potential the bigger the odds against you are.


I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender
Sometimes all at once.
Union EU player! Pip pip, tally ho, top hats and tea etc etc

Love this idea... though I would go Assault/Summon, myslef.

I had a similar thought. Except it had protection primary and a pet/assault/debuff secondary.
