If I had only a single character, then what you say makes much more practical sense. Also, if you tend to take long breaks from the game, I wouldn't expect people to remember every little thing their character has gotten over the years.

I hope this clarifies the perspective I'm coming at this problem from.

Edited: for grammar and spelling boo boos.

Not sure I understand your confusion here. ALL your characters from now to death of the game have all the Vanguard costume pieces, so you never ever have to buy one again. Different characters that you have don't have different ones unlocked. Characters you haven't even made have them all unlocked.

(Note that I'm not saying the devs should not take the costume items out of the purchasable list. It would be much less cluttered to have them removed. But there should no longer even be a reason to go into that sub-tab in the first place.)

    Missing Auras

First, did you mean Independence Port Tailor? Talos doesn't have a tailor at all.

Second, you did a hunt from a tailor and not the City Rep? If so, you unlocked a costume slot, not the Auras. The Aura mission comes from the City Rep herself in Atlas. The Aura mission is actually a talk-to followed by 3 consecutive hunts, (Freakshow, Rikti, Devouring Earth though perhaps not that order - all found in Crey's Folly) then I think one last talk-to.

Third, I can't remember the exact time auras unlock, but it is probably when you turn in the mission to the Rep.

    Fourth, there is no fourth.
  4. Um, no Agge. In terms of contacts, Rogues are treated as Villains, and Vigilantes are treated as Heroes. Therefore, you can be a Rogue and do any standard Rogue Isles contact. Similarly, Vigilantes can do any Paragon City contact. If this were not the case, Rogues and Vigilantes would be restricted to Radio/Paper and Tip missions for all leveling. A character visting the opposite side is restricted from normal contacts however.
Regarding the Arachnos Patrons and their storyarcs, a character must be either a Villain or a Rogue.
  5. One thing that surprised me is that the 'Join Trial in Progress' only takes effect when a trial drops below the minimum requirement. With the number of pre-forms starting with max participants, the chances of half the trial all deciding to quit might as well be zero. If the devs changed it to being below max participants, the people in queue would have a better chance of at least getting some kind of participation.

That said, I can imagine some kind of programming difficulty due to the need to hold spots for people that DC partway through.

The Atlas Medallion is not 'gated' or level-restricted in any way.

I say this with absolute certainty because I got the Atlas Medallion on a LEVEL TWO character TODAY. And, after I got to level 3, it occurred to me to copy him to the test server as proof in case anyone ever disputes it.

BTW, Badge-Hunter.com does say you can't get the Atlas Medallion until level 7. But it's wrong.
In this case, Paragonwiki is wrong too. http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Hero_Accolade_Powers

I tend not to get accolades until my characters are pushing 50 anyways, so I can't say otherwise from experience. All I know, is that when the devs first removed level limits on Hazard Zones, they put locks on the accolades that required entry, similar to the one that won't let you earn the Vanguard Recruit Day Job badge until 35. I remember that the progression bar hint mentioned the unlock level. Given the Hazard Zone level removal was some time ago, it is entirely possible they removed those locks without my noticing.

    lvl 50+

At one point, the Alpha boost was showing up in the Info window, but that was the same time all the IO set bonuses were not showing. When the bonuses came back, the Alpha slot left again.
  8. Honbrid

    End regin

I am aware of this, hence the term "Old" requirement. But that is why Atlas medallion is still gated at 7.
  9. Honbrid

    End regin

Min level on Atlas medallion is 7, the old Perez Park requirement, as there is a plaque for the history badge in there.
  10. There is no add-on trial for Going Rogue. However, our free trial for the entire game allows access to Going Rogue features (ie Praetoria) for the duration of the trial period (along with all the usual trial limitations such as inf cap, chat restrictions, and level restrictions). What you can do is start a new trial account to experience some of Praetoria, and if you decide you like it and want to get GR, upgrade your existing full account instead of the trial account.
  11. I believe the constant field is what suppresses your O-portal while inside Ouroborous.
  12. As far as zones that Kronos can't spawn in goes, I tried to spawn him in the RWZ recently by using my SG base teleport, and he never showed. I then proceeded by SG Base teleport to Independence Port and he showed up there, within spitting distance of Statesman.

Well, I'm not sure how much a year's worth of soap is going to be, that depends on the quality and location.....

As far as the game's subscription goes, a year's sub is $143.40, equal to $11.95 a month.

You should be able to see it on the list even if you don't have the merits for it, assuming you haven't bought it. Just be sure the toggle for (something like) "Only purchaseable items" is off. It's on a drop-up/down on the lower right of the purchase window.
  15. Yeah, every 30-ish seconds after you start that fight, TD spawns a clone of himself somewhere in that room. Often on the complete other side of the room - there are designated spawn points that I'm not sure they can move from. As long as it is alive, TD gets a massive Regen boost. The thing that annoys me is that if you die and go to the hospital, he keeps spawning them while you're gone so there's a roomful of them when you get back. I had that happen a time or two.

Edit: Ah, took too long typing that up. Anyway, I think it's in the briefing and/or clues somewhere that he found a way to effectively clone himself with his powers. Would have to look up exactly where. Good news is that his clones are all Minion rank, not EB rank, so they're easy to splat if you see em.

No, your first merit is still valid. You can just make one purchase per 20 hours, whether that purchase is 1 merit, 2 merits, 30 merits or more. So you can buy two one merit purchases on two consecutive days while working on your third merit. If you save your first two merits until you have your third, you can make a two merit purchase one day, and have to wait until the next day to spend that third merit. Once you have a merit, you keep it and it is good as long as you don't change alignment.

As Soul_Stormer said, there's no purchases between 2 and 30 merits. So by stockpiling them intentionally instead of spending as you earn them, you are delaying how quickly you can buy things.

I just don't want to make another mistake as I already have.
FYI, the Cardiac comes with Damage Resistance, not Damage. Would have thought it a typo, except for making the same mistake twice.

Simply reuse the code behind the Ninja Run power and change the animations for it.

Actually, the Prestige Sprints set the precedent if I'm understanding the situation correctly, that this is a separate power from Ninja Run, and not an animation choice. My understanding of the difficulties with pool customization is that of knowing which of the powers are in the players build and an associated UI. (I suppose they could just put ALL the pool powers as customizible, similar to how they did Primary/Secondary powers, but then your costume file would be big, causing some lag in crowded areas (Ship/hami raids))

    Startup Problems

Well, I don't have a clue myself, as I can't interpret that tech stuff, but you might try in the Technical Bugs and Issues forum in the Development subsection. Lotta tech heads there.

To clarify this: In the same list of optional debuffs is a drop-down menu allowing you to set a timer for 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours. The mission you are using the timer for will not fail if the timer runs out, but you get a big red Challenge Failed across your screen if the timer hits zero. You may be able to use this feature to artificially set a timer on just about any mission you like, and just hit "Quit Task Force" in your team window if you fail.

If what you are looking for is a mission that comes with a mission failure timer of 30:00 or less, the only missions that immediately come to mind are Efficiency Expert Pither's missions, which are not Ouroborous accessible. Most timed missions have 90 minutes to 2 hours on them I believe.

You could try the Paragon Wiki for a list of timed missions, but I don't know how to find it there.

The Pit is the big strip mine in Sharkhead Isle. As the name implies, it is a very deep pit.

I ought to look this up (but don't feel like it, correct me if I'm wrong), but I believe the Eye of Horus is the name of the ship which caused the oil spill. Probably the same one you found, as I don't know of more than one spill. (Again, correct me if I'm wrong.)

As for the proc being 10% instead of 10 points... it doesn't really change the results.
Using my example above of 115 endurance, the 14% enhancement (of 1.67% base) would be 0.269/s
The proc (at 10%), would be 11.5 every 50 seconds, or 0.23/s, which is still lower.
One problem with your numbers Master: you aren't getting 14% of your base recovery boosted, but 14% of the increase to base recovery given by Stamina, which is around .42 end/sec. So that 14% is giving you an additional .06 end/sec. Compared to the .20 for the proc, I'd pick the proc, unreliable as it may be.

The Clockwork pet will spontaneously do animations if you stand around long enough. Maybe the Mekman too, I don't remember. I'm pretty sure the others don't though. No attack/snowball animations.
  24. To kinda steal Rajani's line, this section of the forums is more for asking questions like "Where are the Lost in Kings Row?" Questions about gameplay itself. A question like this, especially due to the heavy technical knowledge required, might be better served with a post in the Technical Issues and Bugs forums located here. I hear there's a lotta people there who really know their stuff.
  25. Also, if this is a new installation, are you running the installer or the updater? I think you need to run a shortcut to the updater in the Program Files folder (or wherever you installed to) instead of running whatever may have been downloaded from the website. (Disclaimer: I install from a disc and have not had to deal with digital downloading, so I may have some details wrong. Corrections welcome.)
