vBulletin can just be glitchy like that, is all. I hardly notice because I'm constantly switching between the work and home computers and it's ALWAYS all screwed up for me.

The Hall of Valor is a satellite in geosynchronous orbit 22,000 miles above Paragon City.

Quote:True, but I usually got enough cash for all my TOs from selling the big Insps you get from Outbreak anyway. I'm seeming to find it more handy in the 10s and 30s so far.
Street_Wolf has one method:
I just rolled up a new alt earlier today, and while I was playing, frustrated by my attacks missing so often, I realized, "Hey, wait a minute! I can send myself some influence and buy those TOs now!"
In the past, TOs have sort of been a thing to laugh at. Now, I just have to send a few thousand inf to my global, and I can pick it up on a lowbie to by a few TOs which previously would be far too expensive for being that low of a level.
The bonus isn't much, but it definitley gives me a bit of an edge at the lower levels and makes leveling that much easier.
(On top of that, the new mail system is especially useful for when you can start slotting DOs and SOs since you don't neccesarily have to save up for them) -
He didn't free any slaves! He just jumped all over Leigh Taylor-Young!
Not that I wouldn't, mind you... -
The OCD picture method. Place picture code. Close windows with actual pictures on them. Delete cache. Preview post to make sure the host allows remote viewing. There's so many out there that don't now, it's good to check.

Quote:I mentioned that to an SG-mate just this morning as one of the many nice little touches in the new "Dark Mirror" arcs. Also enjoyed the "earpiece" updates with my contact doing something more than just giving me an address and going back to filing their nails.
Starflier liked that too:
Honestly, the one mission where you enter in one zone, go through some sewers, and come out in another. For some reason I find that interesting.
The construction of those arcs is head and shoulders above what we've come to be used to and makes me REALLY interested now in what GR is going to be like. -
Quote:Big Greco-Roman style Empire? There's got to be slaves to free.
The_Killbot_5000 will let those people go:
Because...Praetorian Clockwork is PEOPLE!!!!!
I've said it a million times, eventually my ranting will overcome Tyrant's propaganda.
I AM SPARTACUS! -
I'm in a huge SG and didn't get to run it for the 30 seconds it was live, so yes, I'm quite interested.
Bring it back, PvP and all (although I liked GG's NPC raid idea as an alternate to that)! -
Sky Raiders do this with their FF bot, too, so it's not like there's not precedent.

Quote:Man, I sure did today on my 28 Blapper. Just could not take him down before he'd kill me. Luckily, I put out the call to the LoV and got another five members to come and help. We reset to AV and took him down. Those two arcs heroside were great fun! Content-wise, this issue's a major winner!
Golden Girl tells me NOW!:
If you need help with Protean, just let me know and I'll hop on and help you. -
Quote:You're such a noob you actually use three letters to spell "you". Loser!
Samuel_Tow uses better English than natives:
This is an interesting one. So I'm running around Sharkdead Island with my shiny new Demons Mastermind, minding my own business, when some odd person whose name ends on a question mark calls me up via tell. We have the following conversation:
[Tell] Guy?: would u like some mega xp?
[Tell] -->Guy?: No, thank you.
[Tell] Guy?: lol u turn down xp?!
[Tell] -->Guy?: Precisely.
[Tell] Guy?: u must be a noob nm lol
[Tell] -->Guy?: *Polishes 66 month badge* Ayup!
[Tell] Guy?: 66 vet and ur still a noob shame
So, there you have it, folks. The big news for today - I'm a noob. And here I always thought I was just a garden variety idiot. The more you know, I guess. -
Or just that they were outside their "home turf" playing an "away game".

Quote:Vext, Greek God of Murphy's Law!
Benchpresser should read this:
As for a god... would Murphy's Law Count?

Quote:Well, yeah, but who doesn't? Even Chuck Norris looks up to Blue Steel.
Golden Girl shows the commonplace:
And the rumor is that she has eyes only for the trainer in Kings Row -
Hmmmm...you may be onto something there. It takes away from the pervy jokes (or does it?
), but it makes a bit more logic.

Quote:Heck yeah! First thing any of my characters do upon entering Faultline for the first time is shoot through the donut hole!
Johnny_Johnny notes:
That badge (The Old Fashioned badge) is not new....it's been around since issue 8.
And my "Mighty Thunor" wears "Old Fashioned" for his badge title, 'cause he's around 1300 years old. -
I advise just learning a little at a time, in this case, just the ones that that particular Scrapper might use. Learning the sheer tonnage of info on IOs is a pretty big bite to take all at once.

Quote:I suppose it's all a matter of perspective. Although I find "missionary position only on Saturday night and not enjoying it" to be more lazy and unimaginative than perverse.
Hyperstrike has angles:
And that's not perverted HOW?

Quote:Hee, I can always tell the "older" players because they still use /em when /e does the same thing.
StarGeek shows age:
just type /EM... -
Quote:The Clockwork King only has eyes for Penny.
cursedsorcerer should know this pervy story:
So, let me get this right...
On our Earth, the Clockwork are Cute Rusty Windup Toys of Death. In Praetoria, they are Sleek Sexy Maintenance Drones of Death? -
Hot, though.
God, I'm sorry I'm so juvenile... -
Well, your use of "enemies" kind of clues me that you didn't have it down to the last ONE yet. That might have something to do with it.
EDIT: Erp! Don't listen to me! According to the Wiki, that last "spawn" should show, so I'm talkin' out meh hat! -
Quote:It's higher than that, for sure. I've seen way more than that in Rikti raids and the various invasions, and those aren't the only people in the zone.
SkeetSkeet thunderstorms:
Not to rain on the hyperbole parade but there's a limit on how many people can be in a zone at one time. Beyond that it creates a new instance. I don't recall what that number is off the top of my head, I'm sure someone else can chime in with the figure, I think it's in the neighborhood of 50 people.
Quote:Excepting events where there's a concentration of people all firing off powers--hami raids, rikti invasions, mothership, etc--if your computer is giving up the ghost just trying to travel across a zone where there are quite a few people, it's time to take a look at your setup and see what can be improved because that really shouldn't happen.
Quote:I'm not talking about going out and buying new hardware either, but rather tuning up your software. I speak from experience in this regard, having spent a good deal of my playing time on a vintage 2003 laptop. -
Heh, not that that's bad, but they look like a Yuppie motorcycle gang.
