Question about Rep Bars and how to read them
I always assumed that after so many bars they just switched colors. Everyone with high rep is like that. Nobody is bright green all the way through.

Yeah see, we both have 5 bright bars. I think bar 6 and after is just naturally dark for some reason.

Funny, it's actually mentioned in one thread over on "the other forum". It's like leveling up in D&D, so many rep points gets you another bar. For whatever reason, after 5 they change color. Right now you have as many bars as you can get with five bright, and six dull.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?
A: You crash into another one.

Okay, thank you both for your clarification.
Rep is mostly a silly and meaningless thing that can be turned into something silly and fun as long as people don't take it serously. It does help, however, to quickly identify someone as a troll.
Or someone who unintentionally irked someone else who has a sizeable rep reserve. As I understand it, the more rep you have, the more your vote affects others' rep.
Not as much as you think. I'm maxed out, but I can't reduce or increase another poster as much as a single bubble in 24 hours. And the forums are set up so that you can't rep the same poster too often. Sort of.

Since then, I've come to agree with you for the most part.
Like I said, I thought I was getting a stream of neg rep and wanted to know if I deeply offended people lately.

Sun_Splitter has 11 pips of negative rep.
Also, with a defaut vBulletin installation, reputation is supposed to be 5 dull pips and then indefinite bright pips. For some reason, our forum has this turned around.

In other words, we're going green by not.
Two things:
1) lolREP
2) I miss having my comments all in one place, they were the best part of the whole system.

Knockback threads are amazing engines of change where rep is concerned.
Blue: ~Knockback Squad on Guardian~
Red: ~Undoing of Virtue on [3 guesses]~
It changes at half way from red to green and at 3/4th to full from solid green to dark green. But it doesn't change colors at all while in the negatives, which is too bad.

Note: I am NOT asking for rep nor trying to troll. Please don't view this as a request for points.
Okay, see my rep bar? I've noticed that I have bright green bars and dull green bars. Also, that my dull green bars have been the ones increasing lately, as opposed to the bright green ones.
What does this mean? If it's a bad thing, I'm absolutely okay with that. If it's good, that also works. I just want to understand what's happening with my rep so that I can review by posts accordingly.
Thanks!
