Are street spawns doing new stuff?

So I was leveling a Scrapper in the Hollows a few days after i17 launched, and I saw a female NPC doing the "Cheer/Yell" emote over and over again by a building, I ran over to see what was going on and she said

NPC:Stranded Woman: Got another sucker for you, daddy

And then two Bone Daddies popped out of the door behind her and attacked me, I've also seen Tsoo trying to "purse Snatch" from old men carrying big green bags named 'relic Hunters" and I don't think I've seen that before

Is this stuff new, or am I just unobservant?

That was added when War Witch revamped the Hollows a few Issues ago; she put some fun stuff in. Someone I know mentioned Tsoo rappeling out of trees (like the Mastermind Spec Ops summons) and attacking her.

Both of those have been in for a good while. Sometimes you go to a stranded woman and get a small influence bonus instead like when you save a street victim. Usually it's an ambush though.

Sillier, you have Freakshow in Brickstown who'll lay on the street while his comrades ask him what's wrong and call for help. I've never seen that not be an ambush but they still laugh as though they tricked you.

The relic stealing Tsoo have been around for a while as well. I thought they were trying to steal a giant green gemstone. not a bag. Then again, I never looked too closely.

All of those have been there a long time. The Tsoo the longest, actually, they've been pulling at things from people since the first time I entered Talos...

War Witch's new dialog in the Hollows was an awesome addition. I love the sandwich conversation.

I saw some Hellions or Skulls (can't remember which) in the Hollows talking about getting new gang outfits because hockey players change their jersey's all the time. Does that hint at a model revamp??

War Witch is constantly updating the dialogue in the game. The other day while flying around behind the Faultline dam, I find a bunch of Sky Raiders engaged in target practice. That's nothing new. But their 'leader' shouting at them:

"That's not a barn, it's not broad, and you're not hitting it!"

That was.

Then there were the four or five Arachnos patrolling back on the hero side of the dam, who as I flew by, commented (or words to this effect):

"You know, we should find some hero and lure him off a cliff. Bonus if he's a super speeder."

Outcasts.

The one thing I have seen them doing more of myself is being more active. Now that sounds odd when describing street mobs, but my impression is that even Skulls and Hellions are engaged in doing stuff now, be it planning something or active vandalism or even congregating in what I'd call 'gang' numbers now instead of just ones and twos.

I love listening to the Skulls' girlfriends gripe and moan. Makes me almost feel bad about whaling on them.

I've most all of these, except for the Sky Raider berating his team, and the "good" variation of the stranded woman trap.

The first time I saw the injured Freakshow, I actually went up to them, wondering what was going on. Then they attacked me.

I did see a group of Freakshow and a Warrior in Talos running around, for absolutely no reason... I had one of the group targeted from outside of agro range, turned around to look for something else, looked back and they were gone! They'd run down the street a little ways. I followed them, they ran to another spot down the street, chilled for a moment, then ran back to their original spot. It was really weird, and probably some sort of bug.

I've found that those, a lot of times, are someone's ambush mob that chases them, then loses them when the player enters a mission, goes through a gate, etc.

The one of those I know of that's different from that is in King's Row. At times you'll have clockwork moving off, all in the same direction. I believe it's when they gather around a Paladin. They'll generally ignore you, but I decided I'd attack one. It came back, and as I dropped it, a few others came back and attacked me. I was taking them down when more came back and started zapping me. Finally there were enough that I decided discretion was the better part of valor and I took off. I really like that they can do that, though.

My personal favorite was two Hellions sitting on a bus stop shelter and calling out to a passing civilian "Hey lady! Later on we're gonna steal your purse!"

The other day I was running through Talos and saw a Warrior beating on a Circle of Thorns guard guy with a baseball bat while the CoT plead for mercy. I figured that had to be a bug because everyone knows the Warriors are the ones constantly getting picked on in Talos

I've never seen the civillians acting as bait before, that's a new one to me. I have seen the Tsoo playing tug of war before, but never seen them rappeling down.

Yeah, I've had a Hellion insult a character recently too. Unfortunately for him and his friends she was 40 levels above him and her M30 was well-slotted.

Huh, apparently that's what was going on. I was on a lowbie Spines/Elec Scrapper, and thew an Impale at a lone Clockwork, only to wind up with a constant stream of them running in from all over. They were a level under me so were hardly dangerous, except that they just kept coming, the scratch damage kept adding up, it's not like a level 8 character has defense or regen worth crap. Finally the tide slowed down, just as I leveled. I must have taken out 30 of them.

Oh yeah, a while ago (... couple years lol) I was chillin on a roof in Kings Row, watching a Circle group intimidate their hostage at the side of the rooftop. With crossbows. It was pretty intense.

I also like the "I hope you get cut on the clasp!" that a purse-snatched woman yells

If you know where to look in KR, you'll find a Skull that got the purse.

That one came with the zone revamp, actually. Well, with "throw" instead of "lure".

To come back to this, I was in Steel Canyon the other day and saw some Tsoo and Warriors squaring off. Nothing unusual in itself, but one of the Tsoo were juggling a knife from hand to hand, and I was sure I hadn't seen that before. New or old?

Medium. That animation's been there for a little while. It is fun to see. I seem to recall other gang-type NPCs doing it.
