  1. I never liked this aspect of the last mission (although the mission itself is great). There really ought to be some sort of clue that the teller might not be where you'd expect them to be (that, or just freakin' move the teller to behind the desk).

Dunno about elsewhere, but there are still comic books in grocery stores around here, have been ever since I was a kid. Not in vending machines, mind you, that seems like kind of a silly concept, but they're with the rest of the magazines.
  3. Virgil Tarikoss soloed the Apex and Tin Mage Task Forces on x8/+4...at the same time...at level 1.

    "FREEEM!" was his idea.

He uses only level 53 IOs in his build.

He is...The Most Interesting NPC In The Game.

I guess I don't really understand this. People do this all the time. I generally try to make a habit of doing one of the arcs that unlocks EwtS on new characters, but sometimes I forget, so I'll just hop over to some place populated and ask someone to drop it. It's not a big deal. Just repeat to yourself "It's just a game, I should really just relax".
  5. What level are you? If you're level 40 or higher you can get to Recluse's Victory. If you're not level 40 yet, well, if all you're concerned with is the Alpha Slot, you don't need to worry about it until level 50 anyway.

I assume the arc you're referring to is Echo down the Aeons from Marshal Brass. If you're no higher than level 29, one of the missions of Vincent Ross' arc also grants the badge, but apparently only if you choose to free the demon Botis.

If none of the previous statements apply to you, then I guess you're out of luck. Personally I think you could just get over the begging thing, go to the Cap au Diable Black Market when there's people there, and ask someone to drop it. Someone will probably do it on your first request.

That was the Vanguard Storage Sack. It's not a recipe drop, you craft it with Vanguard Merits in the Rikti War Zone.

This is going to be hard for you to hear and possibly even understand, but you were the rude one in this situation. You were stepping all over another person's enjoyment of the game for no reason other than correcting spelling in not-even-a-document that is 90% intended for that person's sole use. Not only that, in doing so you also stumbled into a consequence that ruined your own enjoyment. So nobody wins. Clearly worth it for correct spelling and grammar.

I would consider this a lesson, myself.
  8. You could go to Brickstown, then to South IP from there.
  9. I can confirm that the Energy Manipulator proc does work*, I have one in Conductive Aura and one in Electric Fences. It doesn't trigger often, mind you, and ultimately I'll probably drop it in favor of slotting an actual enhancement (it was kind of handy in the earlier levels, though), but it does trigger.

*Um, I should qualify that: last time I checked, probably a few months ago. Hell, I guess can hop on and check right now.

EDIT: Yep, it works fine (er, that is to say, it works; "fine" may be an overstatement). But it's a moot point as far as the OP's question is concerned, since Gremlins won't take EndMod sets.
  10. How would they differ from what can already be created with existing archetypes? I actually made a Dark/Psy Defender in Praetoria with a Carnie-ish costume named Dark Ring Mistress (yes, I actually managed to get the name); with the Ring Mistress costume code, I'm playing a full-fledged Dark Ring Mistress. A Master Illusionist is just an Illusion Controller with a Dark Servant and a unique ability that wouldn't even make sense for a player character to use (Carnie post-death endurance drain).

As far as the side-switching concept goes...how would this work? You're locked into an alignment once you pick which tree you want? It changes with your alignment? Not sure I like either possibility.
  11. I guess this means the Conan Costume Creation Contest officially violates the EULA.

The OP is confused, but I don't see anybody explicitly stating why.

Warshades are reformed Nictus. Nictus are not necessarily Warshades.

Analogy: Lions are a breed of cat. Cats are not necessarily lions.
  13. That's one of the default keybinds, F9 I think. F1-5 uses inspiration slots (you can have up to 5 columns of 4), F6 says "RUN!" in Local, F7 says "Ready!", F8 says "HELP!", F10 says your battle cry. Near as I can tell looking at my keybind file, F11 and 12 are unbound by default.

Welcome to the game! I think you'll find that we're a friendly and helpful community.

EDIT: Oh, I wanted to add. "Not looking for team" is a flag that doesn't show up in your profile, but rather with the search function. You probably saw the other flags, such as "Looking for missions", "Looking for Task Forces", "Looking for anything".

Not to mention their costumes already being easy to replicate.
  15. That's not all of them. I can tell because I couldn't find an out-of-date tip I saw last night mentioning that only PvP and Hazard zones are level-locked (no longer the case for Hazard zones). Dunno if there are any others missing though.
  16. Got Devilfish on my Mastermind a few weeks ago, so no problems here.

    This is only half-true.
  18. I'm still holding out for Hugh Laurie as Twelve (since House will probably be done by then), myself. Extremely unlikely but I like to dream.

There's no such thing as griefing in PvP zones.

I'd like to see the current PvP zones converted to PvE zones (and expanded with content), with separate PvP versions for those who (lol) still want to PvP there. There's just the problem of determining how you handle sides (I guess you'd need 3 zones total; hero, villain, PvP), especially for Recluse's Victory.

I can understand that PvP badges should only be obtainable via PvP, but the badges like the one for launching nukes aren't PvP badges, at least they shouldn't be. No PvP is required to obtain them.
  20. Prepending with $$ should work. I use this to generate a set of inspiration-combining macros for new characters. An example of the Tier 1 macro:

    Quote:
    $$macro T1 "insp_combine Insight Catch_a_Breath$$insp_combine Enrage Catch_a_Breath$$insp_combine Luck Catch_a_Breath$$insp_combine Respite Catch_a_Breath$$insp_combine Sturdy Catch_a_Breath"
This along with the other macros sits in a file called end.txt; typing "/bindloadfile end.txt" puts 4 macros into my character's tray. Not sure if this will work with other slash commands but I don't see why not.
  21. I feel like this is mostly covered by the Mission Architect. The only thing you'd have to do is create an area where you can share your created critters with other players and the rest would take care of itself.

But when we will have the first art update? All I see is even in new missions they keep using old citizens, and awful costumes so I think theres nothing cool coming until they release a CoX 2 under a completely new and potent engine.

All I can dream is CoX 2 under Aion engine with David Nakayama supervising all art.
Actually, the game got its first art update in Issue 7 in order to bring Paragon City more in line with the Rogue Isles.

I'd love to see more sweeping changes/upgrades to legacy content but realistically it's just not going to happen. Ultimately it's not worth the development time. People were already zooming to the finish line of level 50 before the Incarnate System went up, now people will be spending less time than ever at lower levels. Why commit resources to content that few players will actually experience?

Says the person who clearly does not understand how to play a Brute at all. Fury is stupidly easy to generate, especially since the recent change in I18 (it was 18 right? I'm losing track of issues). But it still wasn't hard to generate before the change.

It's out of date information. Darkest Night, along with an extra 5th power for the other Patron Pools and the Epic Pools, was added later, but the plaques were never updated.
