    Dark Assault

I basically copied Dark Manipulation to Dark Assault. Dark Manipulation was already pretty assaultive and not too manipulative, so I only made two changes:
Replace Touch of Fear (single target Fear) with Fearsome Stare (cone Fear).
Replace Midnight Grasp (single target melee superior damage immob) with Blackstar (PBAoE nuke).
Why would a Domi set get a nuke? Soul Drain would also be a no-no since Domis can get it in their PPP.

I'd remove Soul Drain and make the Tier 9 a version of the the Dark Dwarf Mire with a Chance to Fear thrown in.

Dark Blast, Gloom and Moonbeam should also probably be in the set too (even if I hate snipes). Dark Blast as the Tier 1, Gloom in Soul Drains place, Moonbeam replacing Dark Pit.

Even then the set doesn't have any ranged or melee heavy hitters and seems pretty weak. Maybe Moonbeam should be Siphon Life or Midnight Grasp (or a sorta combination of both, use Midnights animation & keep the DoT but give the caster +regen for a few seconds)

    My version would be :
    Dark Blast
    Smite
    Death Shroud
    Shadow Maul
    Gloom
Fearsome Stare (although I'm not convinced it shouldn't be Nightfall instead)
Dark Consumption (isn't this in the Soul PPP though?)
Midnight Grasp (or Midnight Grasp without the Tentacle effect if that causes issues with Dark Control, the immob isn't the good bit of this power anyway. Maybe it could give you some Regen for a few seconds instead and thus be a sort of Siphon / Midnight Grasp hybrid)
Soul Mire (copy of Black Dwarf mire with a 25% chance of a Fear thrown in). The ToHit/Damage buff would probably need to be half of what it is in the Warshade Dwarf version to maintain balance.

Nope, it's the German for forbidden. Like lots of words it just sounds cooler in German.

You could also leave the sets it takes alone, Lightning Storm fires bolts which are technically AOE, but takes single target sets rather than the Targetted AOE ones.

As it was, we were waiting for our uniform vender's website to update, and not be able to access it.

IE6 supports PNG files. Although if they have transparencies they render with a lovely blue glow about them (honestly). I still have to write pages which will at least work in IE6 (they don't have to look nice particularly, just function).

Elec/ is one of the few control sets I truely trust to cover survivability without padding lots of defenses from IOs and epic sets. Domination with Synaptic Overload is one major reason.

Domination only works with the initial blast of Synaptic Overload, it won't spawn down the chain. Mind you that's often good enough anyway.

Because all of my ports are stealthed at the router, and nothing from CoX/NCSoft is given specific permission on my PC firewall lists.

But that right there could be the problem if opening port 80 can help all by itself. Of course, good luck trying to get an ISP to change its "security measures" of blocking incoming port 80 packets.

I cannot see how having incoming Port 80 open or blocked should make a difference for the Launcher. Most Routers provided by ISPs block incoming port 80 packets anyway as it's a sensible thing to do, you have to change the router settings to let them reach your machine.

There's no particular reason the launcher should be listening for incoming packets on the HTTP port anyway is there? It's not a web server.
  7. No, but flip it. Let us disable more Primary, Secondary and Power Pool aura FX so that our Cossie Auras can be more easily passed off as the source of buffs.

The fact my Plant/Emp/Primal has to be Rainbow Brite if she wants her resistance shield is really annoying. I want to have just the Fireflies cossie aura to represent it.

    Eco.

Well there is the new Praetorian zone coming with i21.

Pity that's only 5 levels worth of content in a levelling range (20-25/26) where there's already *tonnes* of content mind.

I dont find myself as useless at all.
I find Elec Control is one of the better / more useful control sets on rolling teams thanks to the quick recharge of a lot of the powers compared to other sets.

The propagation time of the confuse can be annoyingly slow, trick is to get there before the rest of the team and fire it off, so by the Tank / Brute / Random Leeroyer hits the spawn half of them are shooting each other anyway.

Either way, you do not have to use your Veteran Rewards to unlock the ATs.

    .
Which kinda sucks for me on my US account. I'd prefer being able to select them as Rewards rather than it being hardcoded.

It does mean they'll be unlocked for my old account though and that's the one which is likely to stay premium, and I do have multiple high level controllers, Masterminds and a Warshade there too.

That must mean you're Irish but not actually in Ireland at the mo, because the evil daystar isn't making much of an appearance so far this "summer" in Dublin.
  12. Why are Recovery, Regen and Adrenalin Boost so underslotted? Not slotting Fort for Defense makes me sad too. Set bonuses are all well and good but going after them at the expense of the 4 best powers in your secondary is a huge mistake IMO.

This. Not sure why search was changed in this way but it was. Yo can still figure out the total number of people serch reports, you just have to count the number pf pages of 50 results returned from repeated clicks of the search button.

I'd certainly recommend leaving it until the 20s anyway, AOE Immobs have a tendency to get you killed before that.

But with Fling Thorns, Thorn Burst, Creepers, Roots and APP / PPP AOEs you'll become an AOE monster and expert at setting up Patch of Death.

If you also play Plant Domis then I'd highly recommend the AOE Immob for it as well. It does decent enough damage and AOE Immobs are nice with Confuse powers IMO because the Confused enemies tend to first clump together which makes them ripe to be AOE immobed and then followed up by other AOE powers.

So my question is, am I doing something wrong, is this a crappy level for Dominators in general, or does Ice Control just inhale end like a cocaine addict?

It's a combination of the two. Arctic Air gobbles up End like no tomorrow and Ice Blast is a quick animating, lowish damage set which means it tends to go through End quickly as well. Plus Domis are always slot-tight so slotting for End Reduction is tricky as well.

It gets better once you have AA slotted to the ED cap for End Reducation. You might also be able to get some Acc/Dam/End IOs cheap and frankenslot with them in order to save on slots, although that might take until the mid 20s (27 is usually when I start doing that)

Erm, no offense but the entire board is littered with a myriad of different Brute Builds in various threads.

I'd suggest looking through them and seeing what you fancy playing first and then maybe starting from there.

Claws, Dual Blades, Super Strength and Elec all have decent AOE. Fire, Shield, Elec and Dark also come with more AOE.

There's still some low hanging fruit lying around which could be proliferated relatively easily. Traps for controllers isn't too bad, you can give them the corrupter version.

Melee sets are generally fine between Brutes, Tanks and Scrappers. Stalkers are more tricky but still doable. Broadsword or Katana are more questionable in terms of Parry on a Tank or Brute.

Not that I'm for selling them in the store, simply because I think Jam Tomorrow (ie having people ingame, striving towards a certain goal such as IOing out a build) is better for the long term health and active population of the game
