    I already stated that I was able to solo an FF/Ene Def from 1 to 12 at what I considered a "decent" pace.

    I found it "decent" in comparison to the other sucktacular for soloing archetypes/powersets.

    Anything in this game CAN solo at the base difficulty without vet powers. I have incontrovertibly proven this to be a factual statement.

    If people don't find a given combination from a given archetype "fun" to solo, perhaps they should choose an archetype\combo more suited to soloing.

    There is a reason that I do not play defenders, or tanks or stalkers or controllers. I do not find them "fun." However, I also do not seek massive game-wide changes based on my opinion of those archetypes.

    Such an action would be an ignorant waste of time for everyone.

    I deleted my level 50 Peacebringer. He was one of the first non-PLed Kheldians on Pinnacle to hit 50. I deleted a level 50 EM/FA Brute, my first villain to 50. He had all the power buff accolades.

    Only my main is safe from the delete button.

    Endurance management isn't fun. This is true. It is a nuisance before stamina. This is by design with one of the reasons for its existence being that we feel more powerful later on in our characters' "lives."

    Ultimo deserves neither respect nor tolerance. His posts are always full of lies and idiocy and this is why I also have him on ignore. He does not deserve thoughtful replies because he puts no thought into anything he posts. This has been and will forever be the case.

    No, I did it with an FF/Ene Def and got him to DOs to prove that anything can solo. if you are soloing, you build for soloing. You can't build for teaming and then gripe about lack of solo-ability.

    50 is the max level. 50 is where I work on builds. 50 is where my characters get IOed up.

    The only judging I do before 50 on a character is whether it will be fun enough to play to 50. Beyond that, due to how quickly levels go by, there's no point in bothering to analyze pre-50 performance.

    On its own merits, the set works well enough for a solo player that enjoys looking cool.

    Compared to the other defense based sets, however, it just doesn't offer the same level of mitigation. It's weaker. It's got larger holes. It's got a great tier9 and if you leverage on that as much as possible with global recharge buffs, you can do some cool things.

    I have gathered the following:

    The 5850 is cheaper than the 5870 by a margin that surpasses the difference in performance.

    The I5 proc is just fine for this game because CHV doesn't really utilize more than two threads anyway.

    I bet that with those 2 items, Win7 64 and 4-6GB of RAM, you'd be a happy camper.

    There isn't a link that I've seen. There's been nothing more than guidelines.

    I can tell you this, however:

    You didn't give enough info to answer your question.

    If you're planning to play at 1920X1200 resolution and expect 60+ FPS at all times, then the rig doesn't exist that can do it.

    If you're ok with tweaked settings for maximum eyecandy and performance that fluctuates between 20FPS (this occurs during zone travel in some of the poorly slapped together redside zones) and capped 60FPS (turning off vertsync I've seen as high as 200FPS in door missions) due to vertical sync usage, then my current rig is doing fine.

    I scrap solo.

    I generally keep to myself, do my own thing, prefer not having any help to accomplish anything.

    I'm pleasant to those I encounter until given a reason not to be. When that reason is given, I see no reason to hold back on the retaliation.

    I have no fear regarding diving into situations where I have no concept of the outcome.

    Apparently my in game lifestyle is no different than my real lifestyle. Well, except for the baby eating thing. I've yet to do that in real life.

    Having forcibly removed myself from the tech side of things, I'm prompted to ask due to some PMs I've received:

    What exactly are we supposed to be telling folks with legacy hardware that can't install the 10.4 or later catalyst versions? Tough titties? Upgrade or suffer? Open a ticket with NCSoft support?

    You an use that to adjust game settings outside of the game. Set the resolution using that and then see if the problem persists.

    1366X768 is the native full screen resolution for your laptop?
    In game you're choosing the resolution that has (Desktop) next to it?

    That being the case, I'd ask to be named Rook. My game avatar would be a Stone/Inv brute. And I'd never tell anyone who I used to be.

    Single rig, two instances, full screen, no changes to settings from running single instance. Alt tab between the two. Go from vert sync capped FPS to 30FPS.

    Fury generation is a non-issue with claws as long as you lean on your early attacks.

    Anyway, masterminds are a redside AT, so I don't see them summoning angels any time soon. Even with GR around the corner.
