My search text is "Level" "Powers" LFT for "whatever arc I am trying to get through" or hero tips missions.
I actually don't mention AT, since that would be redundant as the search window already shows that. And I make sure I have my flag set to Looking for Missions instead of Not Looking. -
Quote:It is also worth noting that using Alignment Merits to buy purples is highly inefficient both timewise and infwise.Mmm...
You also can buy any Purple recipe with Alignment Merits (A-Merits)
It requires 20 Alignment merits to purchase a purple recipe, and at 2 days per merit, you are looking at waiting 40 days to get that one purple (240 days for a single set unless you are going ahead and running multiple alts to each save up for a purple or two).
Alternatively, depending on market conditions and depending on the purple set you are after, you can often purchase (for 2 merits) a highly desirable recipe to craft and resell for what a single purple recipe may cost, with some cash left over. Going about it that way, you can have your 6 piece purple set in 12 days (or less if using multiple alts). -
Knockdown would be even more appropriate, as that would simulate the enemy hitting the deck as the suppressive fire comes in.

Quote:My MA/SR Scrapper also doesn't have Hasten, not because of a conflict between that and Practiced Brawler, but because her attack chain is fast enough. She's made it to 47 fine without it. Even when I get her respecced for inherent fitness, I will still probably not take Hasten. One of those freed up power picks will most likely go to Stealth to stack with her Unbounded Leap: Stealth that she has in her Surge Sprint. The other two? Not sure yet, perhaps more from Body Mastery or throw Boxking and Tough in there, or Kick and Tough, depending on which of the two look better for her.I have Hasten on almost all of my characters . . . I don't think I have it on my MA/SR scrapper, as Practiced Brawler is a click mez protection and I have a good attack chain without it. I can see that a Willpower character could skip Hasten depending upon the other power set, but sets with a long-recharge heal or other click power will benefit from Hasten, too.
I also don't see Hasten in the old plan for my AR/Energy Blaster. I think I decided on that because I didn't want her having those retarded flaming hands, and figured that I would make up for it with global recharge bonuses.
I'm sure I have a couple others who don't have it or are not planning on getting it, but that's enough for now. -
Quote:They have a base accuracy of only 75%, so unless you are only fighting even con or lower things, 2 accuracies are needed, otherwise the aura will be missing a lot and just wasting your endurance, and your aura would be ineffective on those inane teams where they insist on fighting +4s and +5s since it would rarely ever hit.One accuracy, one endurance reduction, and three damage enhancements.
Therefore, with just generics, 2 accuracies, 1 endurance reduction, and 3 damages would be ideal. -
-
Quote:Also, any level 50 generics are not worth trying to sell crafted. Those almost always go for far far less than the crafting cost.In my experience, there's only a few things that won't sell for greater than their crafting cost. Taunt, slow, sleep, etc.
25-40 seems to be the best level range for selling generics lately.
Quote:The only problem are the level 45 and 50 Common IOs of any type. The recent Incarnate inspired teaming has created a glut of the cheap salvage to create these high level Common IOs. Unless you've already memorized the recipes, you'll be eating significant losses before you can even try to break even on them.
And on that note, time to see how Krispy Kremator and Bow Chicka Bow Wow did with the gens I sent them last night. -
Quote:I usually say ***Wilhelm*** in those situations.I like to say things out loud, like yelling "SEE YA!" as they disappear over a ledge and sail flailing into an abyss.
Just out of curiosity, why did you bleep out Slug? -
Quote:And of course the same is true in the opposite direction for a certain American term for bottom.
Reminds me of the scene in King Ralph where Ralph was a bit concerned that they were going to be eating spotted dick... (then the camera briefly panned over to a rack of sausages.)
Quote:I think my safest bet would be to simply use Spanish. Unless it's those weirdo Spaniards with their weirdo Spanish. -
Quote:Ah, you're right. It is PBs that get Vahz early on. Warshades don't get those thrown at them until the second arc. Still, it looks like both get a good cross section of all the low level factions as an "Introduction to the Bad Guys of Paragon" lesson.Strange. Sunstorm must really have it in for my lowbie Peacebringer, because he keeps sending him after Vahzilok (one reason why he's still a lowbie) The last time I ran a low level Warshade it was mostly Clockwork as I recall.
That said, my Peacebringers still managed to faceplant the zombies thrown at them before they could get into spew range. -
Quote:Actually, that would be Warshades, not Peacebringers. And both of my Warshades were able to easily blast through the Vahz in those early levels. If I remember right, the zombies would normally be faceplanted long before they could schlep into barfing range.Yes, Science origin heroes (and Peacebringers) don't realise what they're letting themselves in for.
Also, if you have a science origin hero who does primarily lethal damage (like Broadsword, Katana, Dual Blades, or Assault Rifle, you should be able to rip through the Vahz just as fast as a Warshade.) -
Quote:The one I thought would make a good Wonder Woman was that gal who played Inara in Firefly.Agreed. However, the actress they have now looks like she eats.
And really don't care for Lucy Lawless being cast as Wonder Woman, she just doesn't look the part to me either (not that the current one cast does, but I hate hearing Lucy Lawless, when it's only because she did Xena that people say it). -
-
Sounds like a random most likely one-off minor bug. Probably best to just let it go, not worry about it, and just enjoy having your final costume slot unlocked early.

Quote:Even better is confusing a BP Death Shammie before he can summon his zombies. Then it is...I love doing this too.
My absolute favorite is using Confusion on Tsoo Sorcerers. I giggle like a little girl as the Sorcerer proceeds to heal *me*, and use his Hurricane to debuff the other Tsoo in the group. It's so much fun.
It's also fun to Confuse a Sky Raider Field Generator. Bubbles for all my friends!
"Arise, my minions... Attack!"

1: Get a character to 20
2: Run tips to be able to get hero or villain merits
3: When at a level that is a multiple of 5 do random reward rolls (5 recipes per roll)
4: Craft recipes
5: Sell crafted enhancers on market
6: Profit
When the character is between multiples of 5, use alignment merits to buy one of the more desirable special enhancers at its lowest possible level (Stealth, Numina Unique, LotG Global Recharge for example), and sell the crafted enhancer for a nice tidy sum.
No sense letting the merits rack up, since there is a timer between purchases anyway. -
Quote:Plus, relying on bonuses from purples does absolutely nothing for a character for the first 49 levels. After all, purples can't be slotted until 50.Yes
You can get hasten lvls of recharge by purples but then you lose out on a lot of nice set bonuses like +def.
Anyway, I think the majority of my characters do have Hasten in their build, since I hate being slowed down (Marksmen, Cold blasts, etc). I do have a few without it for assorted reasons. But they could get it eventually when I get around to respeccing them for inherent fitness, and then, only if there is nothing else better to take.
If we ever get to customize pool powers to get rid of those annoying flaming hands, then more will grab Hasten as well. -
1: The Warlord
2: Last of the Viking Heroes
3: Forgotten Realms (as well as the old DC AD&D comic)
4: Atari Force (both the mini comics version that shipped with some of the 2600 games and the regular DC full series)
5: The SwordQuest comics DC did for Atari (Earth World, Fire World, Water World, and the never got around to doing Air World)
6: Tigra
7: ElfQuest (at least the original storyline from the mid 80s). -

I'm just relieved that he didn't pull a Zelazny/Jordan on us.
-
My first was created on 2007-04-12. She is a MA/SR Scrapper, known as Honey-Bree, a nicknake given to her by her sensei back when she began her training (Honeybee, Honey Bee, and Honey-Bee were taken at the time on Virtue, so I decided that her real name was Bree and then punned it.)
Here is how she looked when she arrived in Paragon:
The robe got swapped out when the Magic Pack was released though:
She's currently level 47, and I do still play her occasionally. But I have a couple others I am focusing on heavily at the moment. -
So basically, if they are going to add raid (league) content soon with issue 20 and beyond, we would like very raid like opponents, not just the same old thing with bigger numbers.
Understandable fear.
If we are going to have the ability to field 40 + incarnates on one team, then you know they are going to use it. And yes, that many incarnates should have something truly cosmic to fight a la Unicron instead of a Tyrant or Recluse or other old threats who managed to still somehow stay the same distance ahead of us in power levels.
Agreed. -
Quote:(an additional 6 months later)I think here's how the average user's thinking would go:
I dunno if I like this game, so I'll go month to month.
(2 months later)
I like it a lot, so now I'll go Lifetime, because it'll pay off (for me) in X months)!
WTF? That huge round of nerfs was unexpected. The game is definitely unfun now. Too bad they won't refund any of that lifetime subscription I paid 6 months ago. -
