What is your LFM/LFT pick-up line?

I'm not revealing mine, but you will know exactly what it is if you ever meet me in the game.

What is yours?

Well. Mine used to be "Level 51 (insert archetype here) looking for gullible team.

Unfortunately Incarnates killed that one.

You're not? Wow. And yet you expect others to do so... is yours like the KFC secret spice mix recipe?

Ones I've used in the past:

- Free slightly gnawed upon carrots for those who join!
- If you're breathing and have an IQ above 50 I'll take you!
- C'mon ya maggots, get in my team nao!

For my search message, I usually like to simply state my powersets and say, 'Send me a tell!'

It conveys that I would like to team and would not like blind invites, without the awkwardness associated with being invited just before logging off ("But you say you're always up for a team!") or being berated by weird anti-no-blind-invites people ("How dare you tell me what to do! I will now tell you what to do.") It also sounds friendly, at least to me.

I occasionally mix it up on some characters... t3h Ub3rbl4st3r's message is "S3nd m3 4 t311! (I promise I won't actually talk like that.)" and my petless MM has "Warning! Petless mastermind! (But please team with me anyway.)" That one has actually pulled in a few people curious about the very existence of such a thing.

When I'm actively trying to recruit for a team, I prefer to use a simple and polite, "Hello! Would you be interested in a level XX mission team? "

I tend to just say things like "STF forming - blueside - 45+, /tell if interested." and it works fine for me.

I've been known to recruit for TFs by saying "Don't go to bed tonight wondering what might have been -- join the XYZ TF!"

My ice/cold Corr. "I slow em down you mow em down"

lvl 50 LF lvl 50 teamage (shards)!!! (the three exclamation points are important)...and on this one I'm amazed at the below lvl 50 invites I get (and of course I can use my mishes and soooo no biggie).

"I'm just here for the shards" (more below lvl 50 invites of course).

My search text is "Level" "Powers" LFT for "whatever arc I am trying to get through" or hero tips missions.

I actually don't mention AT, since that would be redundant as the search window already shows that. And I make sure I have my flag set to Looking for Missions instead of Not Looking.

"Lose weight now, ask me how!"

Seriously, that's what my search message is. Only one person has ever asked, though

I don't have one.

I put up my flag and find something to do solo. When someone asks, "Do you want to join a mission team?" I say yes. When someone broadcasts, "Citadel TF starting up!" I send a tell saying I'd like to join. I never felt the need to advertise or beg. ^_^

I have this one in my search box, which I got from Animaniacs.

Good Idea: Sending a tell to team

Bad Idea: Sending a blind invite

Several times I have gotten blind invites, and the people would send a tell asking "Was that a bad idea?"

"lf [task]"

This way, I assume I'm filtering at least some build elitists, and if I don't, they had to go through the effort of looking up my AT themselves. Win/win.

(Please don't see any statement or aggressiveness in this. If people want specific ATs for their teams, that's their choice, but I'd rather not play with them and in more laid-back teams instead. Plenty of different teams for different players out there.)

Does this cloth smell like chloroform?

One of mine has "Dark/Ice with Leadership and commentary. Commentary optional."
Really it varies with the AT and specific alt. i have several built around chaos and absurdity for when i'm in the mood to have silly fun and utterly crush my foes.
Their LFT note usually alludes to this.

Mine reads "If you send me an invite without sending me a tell first, you are proving to me that you are illiterate, incompetent, and incontinent. "

I've only had to join a team and inform them that their leader is a notorious pants-pooper twice.

Search message varies by character.

When I'm recruiting for a team, or trying to find one, though, I stick to the basics. "Hi, want to join a level <level range> team?" or "Hi, need a <level> <archetype>?"

Im making a list
Im checking it twice
If you dont invite me to your team
Then prepare to fight!

To be honest though, if im running a PUG normal mission team and sending out tells i just say hello and ask if they want to team with us [usually stating how many is on the team] and what we are doing/plan on doing. For example in Praetoria earlier i sent this to somebody who i saw was solo

"Hi there, want to join team of 7? Only fighting level 6's atm but next mission will be 7/8s if your interested "

The person i sent a tell to was level 8 so i thought it would be helpfull if i did let them know that we'ld be fighting at "his level" within the next mission. Either way didnt matter since they had to log

On my Ice/Psy defender's search box it says: "This Defender may or may not be drunk. Invite with caution."

My Ice/Ice blaster has one that reads, "If you invite me, I will get you debt!"
Some people seem to see that as a challenge...
