Works good with me.
Time for a browser update/OS update?
Also, try doing a cache/history clear and refresh. -
$39.99 for extra special edition
$29.99 for normal plebian edition -
The Ice Mistral Task Force has at least three maps with pink psionic crystals which explode and hurt everyone.
-
If you've been gone awhile, you may not have seen the Imperious Task Force (do-able by mixed hero and villain teams) and the Barracuda Strike Force and Dr. Khan Task Force.
Also check out many very good AE arcs. Start with the Developer's Choice.
Spring Fling event on, so head to pocket D for some co-op teaming and Valentine Goodies. -
The new super-sidekicking feature (see www.paragonwiki.com) makes level differences much less of an issue for forming a team.
So, start your own, and if they are within 50 levels you, invite 'em! (suggest a tell before invite. Some people don't mind blind invites, some do.) -
There is a strong predilection of TF teams to speed through them, having seen all the surprises, knowing all the tricks, and knowing the story (if they read it) by heart.
Someone new to a Task Force may find this disorientating, as everyone is zipping around, completing missions in 30 seconds, going right to HERE to fight the level boss, etc.
So, if you want to experience some Task Force goodness, I'd suggest two things:
First, if you are joining a Task Force, make it clear you are not familiar with it, then people are less likely to get on your case. Good teammates will give you advice to help out.
Second, and I'll call this the "blunderfun" approach, you lead the task force, making it clear you don't want shortcuts, speed runs, and know NOTHING about it. You want to stumble over your fun, and learn the tricks and the traps the hard way. Make this clear from the start as you recruit. Some folks will be willing to play along, others will not. Alternatively, find a leader who is willing to run one that way. -
The Justice Server has a contingent of Australians, and South-East Asian folks who's playtimes may co-incide with yours.
Want teams?
Start your own.
Join global channels.
Join or coalition with an active supergroup.
If you are willing to lead, you can find followers. -
I'm spending ALL of Sunday, February 7th in the City.
If you have a full account by then, you can send me a tell. Make sure your chat options allow you to receive messages from the opposing faction (Heroes/Villains)
/t @Xalaqia, Hey, new guy here, and I have a few questions!
Trial Account only? Trial accounts can use the help channel, and are visible on the same server only (I think). I'm usually on the Victory Server.
/hc New Guy here, and have a few questions!
I may be editing my base (yup, you can have a super-base!), or respeccing one of my dozens of characters, or writing my new mission arc (yes, you CAN CREATE AND PLAY YOUR OWN MISSIONS/QUESTS!), so I may not see your message immediately.
The trial accounts and full accounts use the same download, so if you upgrade, you don't need to download or install anything else.
Welcome to the City! -
Hey, I've NEVER used Mids, but a lot of people do. I rarely plan any build, other than, "Hmm, what travel power would be appropriate?"
-
Excellent.
Make sure to use the Help Channel ( /hc How do I get a cape?) or this board for any questions. There's a lot of folks who like to answer, and some compete to answer first! -
Count me in.
@Xalaqia
I'll act as a mentor. Great idea! I'll make sure I dump a few less-than-useful channels this Saturday. -
The updater, when completed updating, gives you a button in the lower corner to start the game. Did that not work?
-
Using Mids Hero Planner can reduce the number of respecs you burn.

XP is nerfed if enemy groups do not consist of minions, bosses and lieutenants.

Email can be shut off completely, or set to only receive from friends and SG members.
Also, we still have the "Ignore as Spammer" right-click. This ignores the miscreant, and flags him to the Game Moderators. They investigate, and bring the ban-hammer, as appropriate. -
My friends often hear me shout "Trow Sharkie!" with my Arachnos soldier, followed by "Omm, nom, nom!". They haven't complained yet.
-
To the original post: It's propoganda. Even if Cole is bloodthirsty brutal thug, he's probably smart enough to have a "reluctant leader" PR spin on his ascent to Emperor.
-
I'd base archetype choice on the personality of the gal. Aggressors or tomboys would be blasters or scrappers, team leader types would be defenders or controllers, and stoic types would be tankers, maybe defenders.
Don't forget the pigtails and shoulder kitty. -
Go ahead and ask politely. Generally, I'd start with people you know well already, rather than out of the blue.
-
All normal accounts have access to run and make AE arcs. AE edition is not required.
-
I"ve had some excellent experiences in AE. Start with the Developer's Choice, and the Award Winners.
Clave Dark's "Premium Quality" mission is a lot of fun. -
While you are in-game, hitting printscreen will dump an image to the c:\programfiles\city of heroes\screenshots\ folder. While in the tailor screen, or during character creation, the printscreen will only dump to memory, then you have to paste into Paint, for example.

Whatever user/password you used to log into these forums should get your CoH account going.
Your master PlayNC account and CoH account can have different usernames/passwords.
You may have set up a PlayNC account, but not a CoH account. Did you input your serial code at any time?
