www.paragonwiki.com is a great resource. It's probably more complete than me. I'm going off the top of my head.
Incarnate content is VIP only.
Incarnate advantages released so far is Alpha, Lore, Destiny, Interface, Judgement and Hybrid.
Alpha can be unlocked through Mender Ramiel in Ouroboros. The Lore, Destiny, Interface and Judgement can be unlocked by Incarnate XP, gained through the Incarnate Trials.
You can use one characters resources to unlock stuff on others. Speak to the Incarnate vendors in Ouroboros.
Hybrid is unlocked by the Magesterium Trial. To participate in that, you must have your Lore and Destiny slots unlocked.
Additional unlocking is available using Incarnate components. For example you can progress a slot by 3% by burning an Incarnate Thread, but not Hybrid.
Edit: Madadh, you ninja'ed me! That is acceptable. -
I was trying to arrange the beacons so they'd show in the selection screen in alphabetical order.
Do the possible destinations auto-arrange by zone level? -
Three things for the new or returning player:
1) www.paragonwiki.com
2) /joinchan N P C (include spaces) for the New Player Council. A channel full of new and experienced players who want to help you out. Trial accounts cannot join these channels.
3) The help channel is /hc Your Question. Get your question answered by other players.
I've been here over six years, and this game keeps getting better. -
As above, close the updater, then restart it. May connect better 2nd time around.
Otherwise, leave it on, and wait.
Been here six years. Totally worth it!
Got questions in game? Use the help channel. Type /hc Your Question.
Also, as a new player, you can join the Mentor Project. See stickied forum thread. -
Windows 7, UAC active, on Standard account.
Is there any way to get the system to auto-approve CoH without having to type in the admin password? -
WASD for gross movement, Spacebar for jump, use right-mouse-look to turn and reverse y-axis (I was a pilot, once...) for looking up and down. Mouse wheel to zoom, and mouse button for all powers. I usually end up with 4-5 trays for level 50 characters.
Yeah, I've been told I'm doing it wrong too. Last time I checked, I was paying my own subscription fee, so I'll do as I see fit.
I do like that between keyboard, keybinds, mouse and mouse buttons, you've got a huge variety of ways to set up your controls.
Do as you like. -
Once it's downloaded, you may want to burn the game files onto a DVD. Makes reloading it, or loading it onto another machine much easier.
-
Father Xmas has a stickied post in the Technical forums about his constantly updated $1200 and $600 builds.
-
Quaterfield. LIke the original Posi, long, repetitive, with no "payoff" like weird enemies, strange maps, or unusual mission objectives.
-
Decorum, sorry, didn't see you on, and we added some PuG to our STF.
Congratulations and thank you to those who stayed the distance!
After gruelling pulls of multiple AVs, we reset the Grandville mission. This time, we were able to get Mako and Black Scorpion, took 'em down, then Sirocco, then GW, who was particularly problematic.
We turned it into a chasing game, and she fell.
The Arachnos Flyer was not a problem, and we had a few minor bumps while dealing with Recluse, but we succeeded!
The heroes of the day:
1. Sentai Stone
2. Ex-Pro Bow
3. Doc Radiation
4. Makii
5. Dasher-X
6. Purple Stain
Whew! Thank you to all who stayed the distance for the near 4hr marathon! -
1. Doc Radiation Rad/Rad Defender, @Xalaqia
2. Sentai Stone Stone/Fire Tanker, @Plantatia
3. unnamed Warshade, @Voodoo
4. undecided @Burner24
5. undecided @Struder
6. @Satanic Hamster
7.
8.
Well, me and Plantatia make it a 99.9% chance of success. With Burner, it could go from 110% to -40%, depending
Speaking of which, the Doc Radiation could use a bit of a tune-up before taking on Spider-face...
I may be on Tuesday night, on and off, tweaking the Doc a bit. -
Sure thing.
1. Doc Radiation (rad/rad defender)
2. @Plantatia (guessing Sentai Stone)
3. @Voodoo with Warshade
4. @Burner24
5. @Struder
6.
7.
8.
I'll try to get some more specifics from Burner, Struder and Plantatia. -
The call is out! Heroes, level 45+ are asked to join forces and go to Statesman in Independence Port for a mission of grave importance!
Once again, Lord Recluse's plans have the world in a grip of terror, and it is time for the heroes of Paragon City to step forward!
Start/additional recruiting at 9am Eastern, 7am Mountain, on Saturday May 22nd.
This the Statesman Task Force. Bring the "A" Game.
1. Doc Radiation (rad/rad defender)
2. @Plantatia (guessing Sentai Stone)

Yeah, been there, "Newcomputer Pneumonia"
"Yeah, I'm... (healz! healz!) sick, and uh.. (AMBUSH!).. can't come to work, right now, (DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL! NOOOOOVAAAAAA!), so bye!" -
I see this one's been here a while, and I've become seriously intrigued with the slightly absurd notion with Citadel, mighty hero of Paragon, as tech support, "Have you tried rebooting?"
Please continue, as you have my attention! -
Overheat is my first guess to.
Seconding Soulwind's suggestions.
Try an extended CoH session with extra cooling, sides off, fan blowing on it, etc. See how that goes.
Dying powersupply may be an issue as well. -
Three suggestions:
1) Global Server channels.
2) Form your own teams, and take the VIP of the PuG and ask to be a global friend. Recruit, or at least, stay in touch with them in the future. Supersidekicking makes teaming up MUCH easier.
3) Global player notes mean a good (or bad!) reputation follows you across characters, servers or redside/blueside. Be warned. -
Difficulty settings have been expanded and clarified.
You can choose at what level your missions spawn at, from -1, +0, +1, +2, +3, or +4.
If the mission is a level 10, that means you can have bad guys in it at Level 9, or Level 14, or anything inbetween. Note that the base level is the level of the mission, not your current level.
The second number is your team equivalent. No more fillers! If you can handle a mission meant for a full team by yourself, then set to x8! Your actual team size will overrule this setting, if it is larger.
You can also choose to fight LTs instead of bosses when solo, and choose to fight EBs as AVs even when your team size wouldn't warrant it.
You can change your settings as often as you like, for free.
These settings are currently disabled for Task Forces and Trials.
Check out www.paragonwiki for full details, or chat with a Hero Corps Rep or Fateweaver.
Since you've returned recently, check out "SuperSidekicking" at www.paragonwiki.com as well. It's a great feature. -
Also, the help channel is occasionally monitored by other players.
to talk in the help channel, type:
/hc How do I get a cape?
I'm also a member of the N P C (New Player Council) so I suggest you join our channel as well.
Endurance mangement tends to be come an issue for most characters.
There are several approaches.
Slot accuracy into your attacks. If you miss, all the endurance spent is wasted.
Slot endurance reduction enhancements into your attacks first. Damage toggles are also end-heavy. Defensive or movement toggles tend to be pretty light.
Use "just enough" attacks to defeat opponents. If Mook has a sliver of health left, perhaps Brawl, rather than SUPERMEGAPUNCH! would be an appropriate response.
Turn off toggles you don't need right now.
Take the Fitness Powers (Swift or Hurdle at 6+, then Health at 14+, then Stamina at 20+)
Use the Rest power a lot
Convert less useful inspirations to blue inspirations
Some power sets, like Regen, or Ice Armour, have endurance-modifying powers. If you have one, check it out. -
Level 6? Head to King's Row.
Walk up and talk to the Detective Contact.
He'll give you a police radio. Use it and complete 3 "Radio" missions. Then the Detective will want to talk to you about doing a "Safeguard" Mission.
When you start a Safeguard mission, head right to the bank, (shown on your map), ignoring all other mooks, and clear all bad guys in the bank, making sure none escape. You'll get a jetpack!
It's good for 2hrs of flight, so turn it off when you don't need it. -
This game is stingy?
Geez. Have I been playing the wrong one? -
When radioactivity was discovered, it was the "new cool thing".
So, various health drinks, products, and various other stuff claimed having radioactive elements, particles and treatments emerged.
The cancer link to radioactivity hadn't quite been made yet. -
Quote:If the Operative's masters were willing to sanction his actions, then they don't belong in the perfect world he's espousing either.Yes, no qualifiers. One life to save over 6 billion lives? I don't even think it's really a question. And before you ask: yes, I would be willing to be that one person.
The moral ambiguity for me comes with killing large numbers of people to save the world, and where do you draw the line? That's a much harder question to answer, and I'm not sure I could answer it.
Then there's people like the Operative:
So, why the hell are they allowed to guide it into being? People can be selfless, and willing to sacrifice body and soul for greater causes, but a bureacracy? You can't expect a monolithic dictatorial authority to have "a perfect world" as it's goal. It wants a better world, sure, for itself only.
Horrible outcomes from heroic intent is tragedy.
Surgery is a gruesome act, with good intentions. -
Global channels are an excellent option for finding teammates.
Also, with the player notes feature, your reputation follows you, for good or for bad, across characters, servers, and between red and blue. -
I've been selecting archetype/primary/secondary often lately based on sets I haven't played much before. I try to pair primary/secondary together in an interesting fashion, and make an interesting character.
Examples like Karkinos (fire/Shield scrapper), a glitchy battlesuit built in the 1970s for the US army by a drug addicted contractor. I used to have the Self-Destruct power on Auto to emphasize the weird power fluctuations of the suit. I shut it off when it got more annoying that amusing.
Or Blade Fairy ( dual blades/electric armour) ninja-girl enamoured of pink glittery things utilizing family-taught magics of swords and chi manipulation.
Maslow, Crab Spider, cold, calculating, defying the will of the Fates, and Lord Recluse, because, after all, the ones following the rules rarely make history.
Dreamwise, Widow, Erratic, time-perception displaced, overall nutbar following the agenda to create a ideal past from the future, or at least that's the best she can explain it.
Then, once rolling, I tend to only take powers mostly from pri/sec because, after all, I'm exploring the sets. I may respec at 20 into Stamina if endurance issues are very annoying.
I also will take a travel power if I'm finding the travel freebies, like Ninja run, and the Safeguard/Mayhem temps are not quick enough.
Utility vs. "Cool" vs. Exploration are being juggled as I select powers for 'em.
I've never used Mids, and even if I did, I probably wouldn't with these explorers.
