  1. The tip missions are great writing. If ONLY, for the love of sanity, they'd go back, kill all the old 'content' (I hesitate to use that word about so much dross...) and replace it with the new stuff and new tech that is coming out. It'd be fantastic.

Heck, if the alpha slot had just been the same old same old, I wouldn't have un-retired my level 50. But Alpha is having a whale of a time doing exactly what he wants, not what some Arachnos goon is telling him to do.
"Oh, Hardcase...I remember you...you were that jumped up little **** who gave me lip and orders that time, right? Eat laser, punk!"
    "!!!"

    Viva la Awesome

    ...oh, wait

    Still, awesome
  3. Bay, honestly...you suck.
Gimme that budget, some half decent actors, people like our own Ominous Voice and suchnot to score the thing...we'd have a movie worthy of being called Transformers.
Meh...will wait to see how #3 turns out. But im keeping expectations low.

Grant Cover, Shield Defence. Only the team gets the +def from that power.

If you are a level 1 in Atlas, or a level 20 in Talos, or a level 30 in Brickstown, there are things in this zone that can kill you. There is no excuse for not paying attention and rushing through to your target like you're level 50. It is not someone else's responsibility to remove any obstacles in your way so you are not unduly inconvenienced, no matter what your culture tells you.
Mercy Island laughs in your face and hurls +3-4 Snow people at you. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200/£100.

The ammount of times I've opened a present on a level 1-2 by Fort Darwin, only to have to leg it like hell from the purple con minion spawn...
If I had a pound for every time that happened, I could cancel out about 3 months subscription. At the very least.

  6. ...There. That just about sums it up.
    Oh, and in case that wasn't clear enough;

    How's about SMEG NO?!
  7. I don't personally get why Hide has such a rediculously huge recharge on. I mean, it doesn't cost any endurance anymore...it doesn't de-toggle when mezzed...it just, y'know, makes no sense?

  8. Step 1. Port the Praetorian Skybox over. It's much, much prettier than the Paragon one

Step 2. Nuke Paragon into the dirt and rebuild it. From scratch.
I'm serious (and don't call me Shirley). Paragon is a dump. It looks horrible. I found a building in Atlas yesterday for the first time ever...a huge, huge building with one solitary column of windows up the middle of it. The thing looked more like a freaking detention centre than the Praetorian BAF. NONE of the City Buildings match the zone they are in, they are all hodge-podge mashups, and whoever designed the layout (Lookin' at YOU, Mr Emmert...) should be shot.

Step 3. Give certain bits of the Rogue Isles the nuke and rebuild treatment. Most of them are ok. Mercy looks like a slum. Thats fine. Oakes looks like an Industrial dock, as does Sharkhead. St Martial looks really ritzy in certain places, and damn lethal in others. GV is GV, and awesome. But, for example, I found an overpass bridge in Martial...one tiny segment, ruined, in the middle of a bunch of warehouses and stuff. It...stood out like a sore thumb. I mean, what was up with that? There wasn't even a badge with some cool bit of story. Oh, and the RI skybox is simply foul, for the most part. Mornings, evenings and nights are ok, but the day is just...bleah. Grey. Depressing. Sure, fine, its a hive of scum and villainy. That doesn't mean the sun never shines!

    4. Profit! Revamped zones mean that new players don't have any 'Oh it looks old and ugly!' to complain about, and veterans get to enjoy the new face lift.
'New Shiny > Revampe' is a false arguement and always will be.

Ugh, GOD NO! I am sick, sick, Sick of that bleeding badge! 100 fake nems! Do you have ANY idea how hard those unbearble sods are to find redside?! It ain't fun! And costume parts should NOT be locked behind stupid, arduos and arbitrary badges!

Any, since this thread needed to be hauled up again, another request.
The PPD gloves. Y'know, the ones we don't have, the big ones. The big ones that all PPD wear. The PPD who never wear the piddly little gloves we got, ever, at all. Believe me, I checked. We are the ONLY ones who cannot use the proper chunky tech guantlets, and it's annoying.
  10. Yeah, Malta and Koa for Eddy and Des respectively? Since when did that make any sense?
    Sounds like an improvement.

Also, you can try to "pull" badguys with your primary but you can't kite because there are no toggles
The only traps power with an interupt is Trip Mine.
Oh, and Time Bomb, if your unlucky enough to be playing a Defender or Corruptor version...and daft enough to have taken it
    Everything else has no interupt.
  12. That was some major neat right there.
The orange jumper reminded me of Velma though XD

You're reaching for non-existent conditions to make a point.

I'm in the crowd that believes calling a 'pull' an 'exploit' puts one in the 'the too ridiculous to have a reasonable discussion with' crowd.
    What do you expect from someone who even admits;

Still, I laughed. It does look good

    Son...I am amused

    Weapon Auras

/Signed to more weapon skins. They drastically need more, especially stuff like Dual pistols.
  18. ...I personally prefer the old hollow globe, even though I never saw it in game. I mean, sure the tech in Paragon is better and its nicely symbolic, but a bigass globe made of solid stone? Even the strongest statue would need some mega support structure for that. Where as hollow? Looks kinda cool and makes more sense.

    Alpha's Lab

Thanks. And apologies once again to those still waiting for a sketch! Christmas hols for me have well and truly started, including all the mad panic and last minute buying that entails. So, uhm...they may have to be new years gifts I'm afraid! ^^; Fail on me.

    Aha, No.
Because soloing an Empath/Psi Defender, while Im sure is possible for those with way too much time, inf and build prowess, is NOT a doable thing for every poor average joe who also happens to like the power combination while running with a team/friends/both.
    So, no. Just no.
  21. /Signed. Theres naff all point introducing a QoL feature, and then not doing a proper job and putting it everywhere it should be.

    Looping Music

I really wish the game had actual Dynamic Music. Not just 'walk in the door and it plays once, or loops in one spot of the map'.

Praetoria has some great examples. Certain mission points will trigger music, most of which is utterly epic.
But I'd take that one step further. Dynamic Ambient Music is a music that is on all the time, and yet changes with situation. It was one of the coolest features in a game on a 'gamestation' console which featured giant, shape changing robots before they were murdered in a recent movie series (thank you picky forum rule >_< )
Each level had ambient music. The baseline was just the zone music. You were wandering around, doing your thing. S'cool.
-Level 1. You spot an enemy patrol of grunts. They havent seen you yet. The music cranks up a tiny bit, adding a little bit of tension and alerting you that they are there.
-Level 2. The patrol spots you and attacks. Their only grunts, though, so it's just the standard combat music. It's rather more dynamic than the base music though.
-Level 3. Either another patrol joins the fight, or a squad of tougher troops suddenly shows up. Now things are getting a little dicey and the music is all the more hectic.
-Level 4. Aaand the Heavy Unit just showed up, along with a Commando squad. Now the music goes into full on rock fest, and you know your in deep when they break out the awesome guitar solo.

Ambient Music is a really great way to add atmosphere to things, and, hey, we have the option to turn it down or even turn it off. No one loses, right?
