I think ponies and religion kinda go hand-in-hand these days, and occasionally have makeover slumber parties.

Oh, it's not a NASA project. They want to test it on the quantum level, as a proof that spacetime can be warped like that in the first place. The trick is extending it to a macroscopic level. They say that current calculations show that the drive would require the energy of about a car. As in, if the mass of a car were converted to energy. That's a lot, but really, they might be able to pare it down to, say, the energy in a coke can or something. That's feasible.

It wouldn't be much use as a weapon. It would be great for a propulsive mechanism, should negative stress-energy tensors be possible. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the same theory that says negative mass can't exist is the same theory that is known to be incomplete: general relativity. There are holes in it that remain to be filled. Who knows what will eventually be discovered?

Typical propaganda from someone accusing people of propaganda.

The thread was not about why the game died. It deviated from the original topic of giving up, to whether or not people have a right to have hope. And then hope was compared to religion. And since the people it was coming from see religion as something that is only meant for cro-magnon men and children who believe in Santa, hoping for the game to survive was labelled as being equally misplaced. And that is how it became about religion.

The pony thing though... someone was spamming ponies on pretty much every thread, at least for a while.

The 'conclusions' of the thread as you say, boil down to the same 3 or 4 people who have been making the same arguments in every thread. That you're now gloating and trying to claim victory just proves how much of a troll you are, in that you are only arguing in these threads to win. Whether you care about the topic or not is obviously secondary.

It's also funny that you chose to single me out. Do you ever have a target that you stick with, or do you change your mind on who is the lord of Titan evil on a daily basis?

And to the other 3 or 4, aside from A_F, this is not directed at you. The only one who has truly proven themselves to be a troll is A_F.

yeah. No matter what the subject it seems it still will come up in one way or another it seems, with religion and or politics.

I could make a thread about my favorite way to enjoy ice cream and somehow the topic of hope and or lack of will follow.

Well, to be fair, hope is at least in the title of the thread. I don't see any point in bickering hope, religion, etc further. I think a lot of us have said everything we need/want to about it and are more than happy to move onto something else.

yeah. I think it's about as dead of a horse as it can get. I think people are staying at their personal level of hope whether it's high in the sky like apple pie or in the abyss of some deep ocean trench level hope.

Yep it's in the title so it was expected to come up. but then again it wasnt much about hope per se it was about whether or not people have given up or not and according to many replies it is not tied to hope automatically. Some still have hope but given up on certain things while some havent given up, some have completely but doesnt mean they given up hope or gained hope because they havent given up. Some just merely havent given up playign the game to the end but really have much "hope" for a revival. But hope was bound to come up and when one side come up, might as well expect the other side to follow.

God is public domain, I believe - I don't think anyone received royalties or licensing fees in any of those movies where Morgan Freeman or George Burns played Him. The estate of the original writer is over a thousand years past contention over the matter, I'd say.
