So, when City of Heroes is saved what will you do?

If our characters and data transfer to the new owners... Throw a party in the Chantry.

If they don't and we all have to start over? ... Well, then it's off to the ruins of Galaxy with new versions of Palrah and Kestrel. 'Best to get as early as start on rebuilding as I can, because it honestly took me *years* to get Kes to the point where she is now (She's not just my one and only dedicated roleplaying toon, she's also my single most expensive, most over-engineered, over-equipted, and over-Incarnated nightmare. ), and a lot of that was financed by Pally and his Enhancement crafting.

Aside from that? Throw money at whoever's running the show (VIP for-EVA, baby), and bug Dr.Aeon to finish that Scirocco arc he was working on.

@Brightfires - @Talisander

The same thing I did before the bomb was dropped. Shut up, play and be happy.

to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

Buy more character slots.....

I'd probably cause my neighbors to call the police, because I'd be sobbing and yelling so loud at my joy. Then I'd go into the City and victory dance and share the happy with everyone.

I would be looking for my new badge "The End Was Nigh" for all characters logged into the game during the end times. That would be a pretty sweet badge.

Go check and make sure Bobby Ewing isn't in the shower.

Nothing.

I doubt I'll even resub. This whole experience has thoroughly soured my love of the game.

Doom.

Yep.

This is really doom.

If the game would be saved i would be all joy and celebration for one day...and the next day: this here quest is bugged, this other quest is too difficult, you should have done it this way, the good old times when the hollows were the hollows...in a word the everyday stuff

No one is going to die if we don't fill up every single thread on the forums with the same exact arguments, over and over and over and over.

Cryptic completely washed their hands of the game when they left NCSoft. The above rumor was debunked by Jack Emmert himself. In other words, Cryptic would have no say in any of these negotiations. None of this is even remotely related to Cryptic.
Thank you, Captain! I'm a little down with Andy departing today (not that I blame him one bit, I wouldn't want to work for NCSoft for one more minute either! I just figured if he was pretty certain CoH was going to continue on later, he might not be leaving these boards before they go down for good, especially as he says he's looking for another Community Manager-type gaming job now) so those are just the words I needed to hear.

Oh, and I'd renew my yearly sub like usual, then barrel my new baby Beast/Nature Affinity MM to 50. Which I am going to try and do regardless.

Continue to harbor Perverse Sexual Lust.

Which is, by the way, also what I'll do if the game is not saved.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

I'd set aside my standard practice of guarded pessimism for one day, during which I would conced that although I don't understand them, perhaps optimists serve a useful purpose.

After that, back to cynical business as usual!

Please try MA arc ID 351455, "Shard Stories: Scavenger's Hunt." Originally created for the Dr. Aeon contest, it explores the wild potential of one of the City's most concept-rich but content-poor settings: the Shadow Shard.

I'll be taking AC's stuff then.

Don't have much. Just a few characters who were at the peak of their possible power ... in freakin' I14 or whatever. You could sell off the LotG's though ^_^

Doom.

Yep.

This is really doom.

On second thought I'd like to add:

**Make Another Mastermind (I'll finally have 13!)

**Re-build my Thugs/Pain

**Return to Infinity server

**Break out my suggestion box

* Buy a good chunk of points (yeah, even though I still have some on both accounts).
* Buy all sets available.
* Buy all sets that come out after that.
* Roll alts with those sets.
* Roll another MM or two.

As it is, I might do that last one. I also need to actually claim much of what I got with the Super Packs. There's really no use in sitting on all of those enhancements and Reward Merits. Should be done either way.

Suggestions:
Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level

IF City of Heroes is saved and IF I get all my accrued Paragon Points, Paragon Reward tokens and I24 launches properly, I'll get some Paragon Points bundles and go from there.

At the moment, I'm still making plans for CoH sunset and that won't change until I get some real information that resumes player services, including billing and VIP allotments.

Zwill is gone? Did he move to Cryptic, or did he give his notice and adios to NCSoft and Paragon Studios?

If CoH is saved, I would invite all of Paragon, past and present, to my 500 sq ft condo and give them all a big hug.

He had already been let go as part of Paragon Studios, and the time had come for him to focus on the job search. (The guy has a family, after all).
