I can understand that this dosn't matter at all when everything will be deleted end of November, so the players concentrate on other games. When I'm in the game, then because I wanted to play a little bit with SG mates. Maybe I didn't see them anymore when the game goes off, but to reach a level or anything else in the game... this is just pointless in my eyes right now.

I'm sure they will come back when an angel sings the rescue song, but right now I only see a hellfire...

Idk, pointlessly finishing and slotting yet another alt to park and hardly ever play was fine. Pointlessly finishing and slotting yet another alt to be deleted in 2 months, notsomuch. My suspension of recognition of the pointlessness has been shattered :P

But fewer and fewer active players will just confirm to NCSoft management that the game isn't worth a 2nd chance, that the #savecoh group are just a tiny minority of players who are good at making noise.

They know exactly how many playeres played City of Heroes in the last month. It's not a miracle that everyone is left now in that way how they handle it. When any puplisher is intressted in keep the heroes going then they will know this, I'm sure.

And they didn't even leave me their stuff. =\

NCSoft is done with this game. Get that clear in your mind. So sticking around to show them anything is pointless.

The only hope that remains is they sell the IP. And that sale won't be affected by current player activity that has been determined by the closure announcement.

If the IP gets picked up by someone else, people will come back in droves.

To be clear, I'm not saying we all should just bail. I'm still playing and having as much fun as I can.

I'm just not deluding myself to think that NCSoft gives a rip whether I do or don't. They made that more than apparent a week ago.

I feel like there have been more people on Pinnacle now than there were before the announcement.

There's definitely much less people on Freedom at the hours I play. At 11pm GMT+1 villainside has about 60-70 players - down from 200ish before. Heroside has about 200 players - down from 600ish before.

(These numbers are from the LFG search, using level and/or archetype filters to get relatively accurate results; give or take a few as people might log off and on during the process).

Liberty has been pretty quiet, too.

A fair few of the "usual suspects" are still there, doing our thing, but not as many as I'd hoped would stick around. It's made my hope of being able to record one of each of our iTrials pretty much impossible, because there honestly weren't that many of us who did that kind of thing to begin with.

I hate the idea of having to transfer Sola or someone to Virtue or Freedom to get those videos, but as time passes that's looking more and more like what I'm going to have to do if I want them.

Guys, this is what NCSoft is expecting to happen. First, we were shocked and devastated about the new of the game closing. Perhaps they expected some sort of 'save our city' campaign....in giving us 3 months left to play, I am sure they also expect the fervor to settle down and die out. They expect people to leave and find other games to play. They expect us to finally resign ourselves to the end. Let's NOT do what is expected. PLAY the game as much as you can! KEEP getting the message out...don't lose the momentum or the determination to try and save the game. Remember all the strong New Year's resolutions that fizzled out after a period of time passed? Let's not allow that to happen.

Loaded up the game last night around 7:15 and every server was green

I dont think i have seen anyone in my sg for a week. And its not a small sg its ranked highly.

my real life buddy that i played with for 6 years bought an Play station, and so did his cousins.

Just my own Data point, the various chat channels I'm in seem to still be buzzing with TF's trials/etc. My global friend list still has the usual people logging in, and I still regularly see Virtue not in the green (along with freedom) when I log in.

Seems to me likely business as usual for the most part, though I'm sure some people have already left. Just not a mass exodus.

Im paid till 2013, so I play to get my money's worth.

I expect I will be here until the end, and at the end I will be logged in with my first character and watch the screens go black.

If it stays up, Fine. It we get rescued, Great. If there is a way for a COX2, Fantastic.

I join COX to be a Hero, and a Hero stays until the End of the Battle.

There does look like a drop in player activity.

I used to observe at least 1000+ unhidden players in Virtue but tonight as of 19:30 pacific (usually US peak) i see Virtue has 521 [359 blue, 157 red, 5 gold side].

Guardian is showing 4th highest load on the server list and i'm only seeing 82 unhidden players [62 blue, 19 red, 1 gold (me)], that makes the rest of the green load servers have even less.

Where are you all getting that everything will be deleted? I'm sure that there is still value in the game and what has been created by players that it is not all just going to the big trash can in the cloud.
