It's still technically 9/6 here in CA at least .

As a heads up; We still do not have final details surrounding VIP status or the state of player services moving forward. As soon as NCsoft provides an update myself or another of the remaining team will update and hopefully answer any questions you may have.

Thanks Zwillinger, I know you're doing your best for the community, and I really hope that this comes through. It really is an honor knowing that even in this really hard time--especially in this really hard time--we have the best damn Community Relations manager any community could ask for.


We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

hopefully said update is that they would be willing to sell the game and allow the studio to seperate lol, but i guess thats the best case

if they could enable VIP for all while we gather more publicity that would be great too

Thanks so much Zwil. I know I sent you a pretty stressed out PM on this very subject earlier. I hope you know I understand you're doing your best to get VIP status turned on for everyone. This will mean the world for most of us as we enter the time between now and November 30th.

I'm hoping for a miracle, but if we don't get one, I want to leave with as few regrets as possible. Being able to access all VIP content would allow me and my friends in my SG to tie up all our loose ends and leave with our heads high.

Zwill (assuming you read this), could you please pass along, from a customer that paid for a full year of service, my dissatisfaction. Not just that this is happening at all, which I'm upset about (as evidenced by the fact that I like the game enough that I was willing to subscribe for a year) but, specifically, at how poorly this has been handled. I understand that sometimes businesses make decisions that customers aren't happy with but NC Soft should have had answers for questions like this ready when they announced the decision.

Quite honestly, I'm on the verge of contacting my credit card company and having them reverse the charge for NC's failure to deliver the product for which I paid... I (and the thousands of other VIP players) have been patient but it's now getting out of hand. The answers should have been forthcoming immediately. It's now a week later...

Anyhow, I know you have more important things on your plate but if you could pass that along to NC Soft, I'd appreciate it.

This still sounds to me like a desesperate action from NCSoft.
Just shutting down, firing everyone off and kicking devs and players out of home.
There was no organization, no talks to the studio to see what could be done, or in case the decision is definitive, no way we can know what happens to our Paragon points and suscriptions.

To me, NCSoft is gone for good. Dont forget what goes around, comes around. And I think NCSoft is going to suffer loss because of the way they handle this.

This is the only game I Know, where you no every Dev name, I like to pretend you guys are Gods of Coh and that you guys watch out for us.

Andy, you might think this is 'no news,' but it is news: the CoH team is still in the saddle and working on behalf of the players. It's great to see an update, even if it's only to tell us information is pending.

Thanks for the update!

For myself and my wife, we agree with all the above comments.

Awesome job you are doing Zwillinger, I don't envy you!

NCSoft. This was handled very badly, and all these issues are easily foreseen, and should have been handled in advance, especially regarding subscriptions and money issues.

Thank you sir for the update! Part of me is hoping they won't upgrade everyone to VIP only because they've reconsidered shutting down the game (wouldn't that be the best news ever?!) BUT I'd sincerely hope they give everyone VIP to say goodbye to their characters so I'm glad it's still being considered at the very least. Thanks again for the update! =)

Thanks for the update

By the way: I just managed to take a look on the i24 additions on the now open Beta server (thanks also for that )
They are great, marvelous and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Just wanted to mention that

(My Blasters would run wild with it and all chars would cheer for the power pools+customisation
... it started to make me sad again for seeing so much good work lost)

In my opinion, with the game shutting down Nov 30th all player accounts that are due to expire prior to the "Final Goodbye", should have their expiration dates extended to Nov 30th. It wouldn't hurt anyone to do that and no good reason to cut anyone out before our final "Swan Song!"

Thanks for the update, Zwillinger.

Although, if nothing is publicized by the end of today, I will have to consider it very bad form on NCSoft's part, considering it has been a week without even a public statement from them.
