Where will YOU log out when it's time for the end?
I have already parked one toon at the Storm Palace over looking the skyline with multiple suns.

im keeping one of my toons in the matrix room under PI
I might bring my first toon to Galaxy and stand at the place where I saw my first purple foe and was taken out for the first time.
Might take my Stone tank and pull 10 monsters to portal corp and dance as the clock ticks down.
Maybe do a Hami raid. Mothership raid. Something with a large group of toons.
Playing on Freedom
The White Comet started 6 years ago and since has fought in Many Battles across all of Paragon. But, this Fire/Kin Controller will prefer to lie down in The Hollows before he "dies".
Gotta say, the idea of where to log out for the LAST time got me a little choked up, more than most of the posts I've seen since the announcement.
Most of my toons have a 'home town' that I leave them in once they stop working on day jobs. Many of my main toons live in Salamanca, the analog of my RL home in Salem, MA. But I think the Nightward would be an appropriate resting place for my toons, a realm locked between the lands of the living and the dead. Like the Einhjar of Gladsheim, they can do battle with the phantoms of that place and at the end of the day they can all sit back at the meadhall discussing their glory days, and in the morning start all over again.
Except for my MAIN main toon. Kavik the Wolf Boy already knows he is destined to evolve into a new aspect of Rularuu, so I would be remiss if I didn't park him in the Shadow Shard... unless of course, I'm still playing him right at the moment the servers go offline, and then he'll probably be partying in Pocket D.
At the end of my very first day playing City of Heroes, I was a little overwhelmed with everything, this being my first MMO. I took my newly level 8 DB/SR scrapper Juniper Tonic to a corner post on the wall to the right of Ms Liberty. I just sat there for a while doing a sit emote that I had learned.
I watched other heroes go by, chatted with my husband (who had just shown me how to do the sit emote), and just kind of drank in the atmosphere before logging off. Atlas Park has changed a little bit since then, but there is still a corner post to the right of Ms Liberty and I intend to sit her down there again, let her drink in the atmosphere before she has to go.
Probably under Cap.... outside of Pocket D...... somewhere awesome.....
There is an island in Talos with a natural cove inside it. It has a fantastic view out to sea, and I have many fond memories of the place. I will park -Michael there, so he can always watch the sunrise over the sea.
If they never fixed the teleport loophole I used to get there, I will park Desert Ghost on an asteroid outside of Pocket D.
Finally, I shall make a lvl 1 willpower/martial arts tank named Dr. Jane Goodall and park her on Monkey Island, in tribute.

I am thinking I will park TechnoBlapper out in Talos somewhere with a "sunset" view. I live by the ocean here in Revere, MA, so I can think of no better place for TechnoBlapper to rest.
If they give us an exact time for shutting off the servers, Amethyst Star will go out fighting when the last 'Lost Connection to Mapserver' message shows up.
All my characters are getting their own appropriate log off location and, I decided this morning, soundtrack. Some characters will take some thought, but some I already know exactly where they'll be and what I'll be listening too when I give them to the digital dust.
I'll be posting details on my archive thread, but by far my most obvious one will be my fire/ice blaster Paraleghell, the star of my original DA Farming Thread way back in the day when everyone was sure it was IMPOSSIBLE to make millions without being an Eeeebil Market Genius.
He'll greet the end in Moth Cemetery, where he spent so many profitable hours mowing zombies. His soundtrack? Also blindingly obvious.
The Nethergoat Archive: all my memories, all my characters, all my thoughts on CoH...eventually.
My City Was Gone
wow...just thinking of this chokes me up more than I expected...Doomsday Chicken feels like an extension of me...not being able to log in any time and play him just seems...wrong.
Part of me wants to log him out at the top of Grandville...part of me wants to be with as many folks as possible in Atlas...part wants to put him in the Shard on top of an explore badge...
... I need to think this over some more...
Go Team Venture!

That's a really tough call.
I could log out in my base, monitoring Paragon City.
Or I could log out where I started almost all of my characters' careers - Galaxy City.
Or I could log out standing next to Agent Six. I always felt she was underutilized, so I added her to the fiction of my main character - as his trainer during his early days as a secret agent.
Yeah, I might log out next to Agent Six. She doesn't deserve to be alone when the sun sets on Paragon City for the last time.
(Why, out of all the posts I've read and written in the last three days, did this one get me all misty-eyed?)

So, where would you log out your main/namesake for the very last time?

My "best" character is my Elec/SS tank (edit: this tank is now my avatar) who, in order to spend these last days with my best RL friend, has been transferred from Triumph to Guardian. I plan to log him out in Ouroboros; remembering the past, looking to the future.
My oldest character (will hit 3000 days offline in about a week) will be standing in front of City Hall as the world crashes around him, holding a torch in remembrance of all those who came after him, and who shall never see the skies of Paragon again.

I just realized that November 30th will be the last time I can log in and antagonize my beloved pet Monkey. Pardon me whilst I go and cry ...

After watching the Coffee Talk, Zwill commented on NCSoft owning your characters names. The EULA tends to indicate that if the character was makeable without COH existing, then you retain rights to it, but if it was solely made as a result of COH's creation/IP then you don't own it. So if nothing happens with NCSoft selling the game plus character data, I will end up deleting my characters before the lights go off even though if you made them on another game or something they probably wouldn't do anything about it. Still it's kind of a principle thing. >.>
Edit: May not be true from this post. But Posi did have to change his twitter account name from Positron_COH to MattMiller, even though he created the name Positron before COH. Still weary about it so will prolly do it anyway.

Where would I last log out... probably where everything truly started for me in City of Heroes. Paladin Park in Kings Row. My first encounter with a Giant Monster and showed me this game had challanges to offer, and as it was my first Giant Monster I have encountered, the Paladin shall also be my last encounter for Summoner Delmain.
A good 6 years I had with everyone in Triumph... and since I consider myself a GM slayer, I'll go out the way I believe any GM slayer should: Teaching Giant Monsters that size doesn't matter through a good ol' fashion fight. I will miss City of Heroes, and most definately the people in Triumph (the one exception being that rock armor tank that couldn't tank to save at least one person's life in a 6 man team!!!)
I'm thinking gather them all in the same location so they can be together in the end..
This was a fun game farewell everyone!
Wherever I am , I will be there believing that there is no end.
I will get as many of my old sg mates together as possible and we will decide as a group how we want to go out. We could go out fighting or have a boombox dance party under atlas.
triumph
I remember when I first started the game and the first thing I saw was the steps in Atlas where all new characters first enter the city. I think I will set Big Soto by the same steps and take a knee (A.K.A. Rest) in the same location my adventures began until the lights go out.

Just had a thought, primarily for my main toon- UltraBatz, lvl 50 MA/SR scrapper. Was thinking about where I would want to log him out for the last time. I actually started him out in Galaxy City w/ Back Alley Brawler as my trainer instead of Ms. Liberty in Atlas. So I figured, since I'm about to join the "echoes" of the CoH universe and become one myself in a few months, I was thinking that he should end his heroic career where it began, and log him out for the last time in the Echo of Galaxy City.
So, where would you log out your main/namesake for the very last time?
ps- It's still unnerving thinking that there will be a day where I won't be able to just log on and check on my toons anymore. It's like they were a part of me, or even an extension of me....
