Thanks for that suggestion. I just took a quick look at their website. The Secret World looks like a lot of fun. Again, thanks for the recommendation, I will try it out in the next few days (after freeing up some dough!). -
Quote:You have GOT to be kidding me. I paid $45 for 3 months the day before they announced the game shutting down. That is complete and utter ********. They OWE me a refund.
I agree with you. I got billed for 3 months a few days (Aug 26/27) before the sneaky long weekend announcement (likely NC Soft hoping it would all blow over quickly and many news outlets would overlook what happened). My subscription like yours is virtually useless since many servers are like a ghost town (even Infinity where I usually hang is very quiet - I think there are only NPCs left on Guardian last I looked). I suspect we will see no refunds though and we will likely be led to the service shutdown with little information and lots of disinformation/rumours. I am sure days before the shutdown, NC Soft will pretend to be nice and will throw us a line to join Guild Wars 2 (Similar to what happened with Tabula Rasa). I am pretty disgusted myself at this stage with the lack of information and the disregard for the players who are paying for a service with their hard earned money. -
Will definetely check out The Secret World. I tried CO last weekend but I was motion sick within 10 minutes....the game engine doesn't work for me like CoH which I could play for 8+ hours nonstop with no worry of motion sickness.

OMG - it is good to hear from you. You invited a bunch of us to the League of Extraordinarily Indebted Heroes (when SG first got bases). And you introduced us to the first Hami raids - lol
Welcome back Gabbos! -
Added and noted as usually logged on as TechnoBlapper on Infinity

I am thinking I will park TechnoBlapper out in Talos somewhere with a "sunset" view. I live by the ocean here in Revere, MA, so I can think of no better place for TechnoBlapper to rest.

Quote:Or maybe it was really a Nemesis plot? The only thing cooler would be if it was a mistell, but he was even better than the person they were looking at in the first place! XD
I want to thank Sean for the wonderful writing. I really enjoyed the DA revamp. Good Luck Sean and I hope you have even greater success going forward.
Cheers,
TechnoBlapper -
Best of luck Matt & the rest of the team and thank you for all the great late night gaming over the past 7 years! I will really miss this nightly treat to blow off steam after work and enjoy hanging out with the other friendly players. Cheers, TechnoBlapper

Guys, I just wanted to say thanks for the invite Saturday night. I had a great time and greatly appreciated the shiny new badges.

Quote:So, my anniversary date was on October 17th and I've been credited my Reward Token and my Paragon Points but for some reason, the 7 Year Badge did not award. I sent in a petition and was told that the issue was "An In-Game Issue" and that my ticket was being transferred to the "City of Heroes Team" to further assist me.
I've yet to hear from anyone else on the issue.
Is anyone else having similar issues in game?
Also, can I get a Red Name/Community comment here?
Thanks.
I have encountered the same issues here - I posted this earlier on a different thread:
"Same issue here - paid subscriber since October 2005 with no breaks. I should have gotten 6 year badge back in October. When I didn't get it initially, I thought it may be delayed due to the changes recently. I submitted a ticket back on December 5th to ask what the problem was. I have since been sent 3 (clearly cut and paste response) emails stating that the ticket was being "transferred" to someone else.....no resolution as of December 14th. I got a NCsoft Support Survey asking about their outstanding service on December 11th and I left appropriate feedback at the poor service - I guess closing tickets is more important than fixing problems. Of course in the meantime I have gotten 5 spam emails from NC Soft trying to sell me additional items. Basically disgusted at this stage. "
It appears selling us more virtual stuff (even if VIP) is more important than fixing issues. -

"For melee damage and utility, i would pick /elec over /energy in your case."
Agreed. /elec is amazing fun and you then have a Blapper which means you can, if you like, play your Blaster in a more frantic melee fashion. Absolutely brillant and heartpounding fun. Nothing like the close-up fights when helping on team. -
It only takes a minute to register and it is a cool site to check out - especially the badge rankings for servers.

And if you sneak up on a little bird and sprinkle salt on it's tail, it cannot fly away......I think you have been had by a prankster. It would be sweet if that was possible since it is thick as pea soup in there.
-
Dark, radiation or kinetic Manipulation would be sweet as a secondary...Come to think of it, a Dark primary would also be brilliant.
-
Any word on how to start this? I was hoping something would be posted by now. It would make many of us very happy and grateful.
-
There are still many of us still here on Infinity. Of course having a character or two on Freedom is good security. I wouldn't worry though, there is usually no problem finding a team on Infinity. Welcome back.

Anyone know how to bring up the Ghoul costume? I applied the code but I don't see the option at the tailor under costume sets.....Am I perhaps doing something wrong? It's my first time trying a costume code out, so I may be going about this wrong. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

I have my dude, TechnoBlapper (Infinity) at 1606.3 and it is amazing for a blaster to have the extra HP with the additional IO slotting and accolades. Really helps in tough mshs and TFs.

I too have wondered if it was a bug for the past few months? It was definitely late last year when they were last working. I often tryed to make it into the top 3 for PI. It is good to know why the devs stopped then working, but I find it hard to believe that it was due to spammers. The spam flows seem consistent from last year compared to this year. Also, as Plyxx commented above, what use would it be to spam farmers? They have buckets of inf.

Exactly what I ran for my first blapper and still run him daily for close to 3 years....best fun ever. -
It feels like Christmas morning.....Rad Blaster! Just think Rad/Electric with custom colours....brilliant!

You only need three slots. Two lvl 50 common IO's will put you at pretty much the ED cap, and one more should be a Performance Shifter chance for +end. Also, one of the lvl 50 end mod should be from the Performance Shifter set so you get a set bonus.

This is exactly how my blapper is slotted - the bonus was extra health I think which is sweet. -

A Hami raid involves a giant Jello mold located in the back end of an unused zone on the other end of another unused zone.
It's protected by a lot of mushrooms, trees and rocks that try really hard to kill you. You need to kill a lot of them first so they will drop enhancements that you can use to prevent the giant jello mold from killing you, but it wont. It will kill you anyway.
The jello mold will sit there not doing anything watching 40 or 50 level fifty characters gather on the hill next to it, and then the players charge in. The Jello mold then kills them all. Starting with the toughest and working down the list. This takes surprisingly little time.
THen the organizer of the raid will say "that didn't work, lets try another way." in which case, everyone will buff the heck out of some of the tanks... who will be backed up by healers, and they will charge in... while other teams go about dismantling the thicker "fruity-colored" bits of the jello mold. much thought will go into this, and a lot of effort.
The Jello mold won't notice, and proceed with its original plan again, killing all the players.... this takes slightly more time, but not by much.
THe organizer will then have everybody go and kill more mushrooms trees and rocks to get more things that are supposed to help, and try again...
But by then most of the players have said unkind things about the organizers mother, jello molds, and fruity bits, and have gone back to killing things that don't hit very hard in the MA building.

That is one of the funniest and most accurate descriptions I have heard. I just spat out coffee into my keyboard too.
