Blapper build

I'm trying to come up with a blapper build.

What are some of the best?

For a blapper, the secondary is almost more important than the primary. /Energy and /Elec are both good, with excellent ST melee damage. /Fire would give you plenty of PBAoE, if you wanted to go that route (but not much in the way of mitigation powers, so you'd have to be careful or on a good team.) /Mental might also work well. Devices would be the worst.

For primary, electric blast works really well with /elec manipulation for a blapper. Ice and Fire are both good for the damage, plus ice's Freeze Ray and slow secondary effect would be a help. Sonic is good if you're soloing, since you can use Siren's Song before you go in to melee. I'd be cautious about AR or Energy.

So ... let's see. Elec/Elec, Ice/Energy, Ice/ Elec, Sonic/Energy, Sonic/Elec, Fire/Energy, Fire/Elec for ST blapping. For PBAoE, I don't know, maybe Fire/Fire or Fire/Mental?

My main is an Energy/Energy/Force blapper. I have Energy Torrent and Explosive blast slotted for KB and use them as mitigation. The damage they do is a merely a bonus with my blapper's playstyle.

I literally spray mobs all over the place and when I have them narrowed down to one or 2 in melee range I blap them into oblivion.

Rinse/repeat

Fire/Energy, do it.

Sonic/Energy, aka Fun With Stun. Do eet

Ice/Elec, nothing like punching defensless targets in the face with electrical fists. Plus BIB looks like you are back hand slapping the baddies from melee range.

I am currently playing an Ice/elec/elec and it's a blast for me.

I even took Bitter Freeze Ray and I just Build Up/Aim BFR BIB and then just start smackin.
Plus if your afraid of getting touched, with Ice/elec/elec there's a total of 4 possible holds. Get's kinda fun on bosses that usually aren't held.

my vote is Sonic/Elec or Sonic/EM..

Sonic makes your hard hitting blaps hit even harder! :P...plus the AoE Sleep is handy

nah go sonic/fire make the aoe so deadly that no tank can ever hold your agro :P

Exactly what I ran for my first blapper and still run him daily for close to 3 years....best fun ever.

My main is an elec/elec/elec blapper. He rocks & always will. All around best toon I have.

Blaster + Scrapper = Blapper.

It's a blaster that lives in melee range and focuses mainly on their secondary powerset, specifically the melee attacks, or "the blaps."
